The owners of this B&B created a unique retreat far above any other property we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail, the decor and the comfort level was far more than we expected. We were well taken care of and would easily return to this property on our next visit.

There are so may good things to say about Antigua Capilla. First, Antonieta, the owner. I was able to text her on WhatsApp before and during our stay and received nearly immediate replies. She greeted us when we arrived and we felt immediately at home. Antigua Capilla is beautiful. Our room was lovely with the high ceilings often found in Mexico. The king size bed was so comfortable I slept better than I do at home. Breakfast was different every day. The staff was always attentive and friendly. I could go on. The B&B is a 15 minute walk to the central square, is in a quiet neighborhood. In addition, we felt very safe in San Miguel, enjoyed all the shops and dining. You will find San Miguel has a very nice mix of the old and the upscale. I could go on, but you would get tired of reading. Just go.

A beautiful house, purpose built for the original B&B experience and hosted by the owners, who provide a superb attentive service. Rooms are super confortable, with high quality mattresses and bedding, in a beautiful environment on internal gardens. The house overlooks town and you can be in the centre in 15 minutes, walking. Highly recommend!

Great B&B! The owners & staff were all very friendly and hosptiable, and made a delicious breakfast. Rooms were clean and super unique, and the garden area was gorgeous along with the rooftop. The location is up a long stony hill so be prepared to do some walking or call taxis to get around (they're cheap). Honestly the walking is good way to get lost in and explore the neighborhood, which is very safe. Highly recommended!

San Miguel de Allende home away from home

I can't say enough about this B & B. It felt like we were with family. They booked all our transportation and helped with advise on restaurants and places to go and things to do. The rooms were lovely and each individually decorated. The breakfasts were delicious and different every day. The staff was friendly and very accommodating . The owners even went above and beyond by helping us recover a cell phone that we left in a taxi. This was not an easy task. Would highly recommend.

I love the room and the view from the terrace. The hosts were amazing. I received text messages as soon as I booked to make sure I have whatever information I needed regarding transportation, etc. Breakfast was delicious! Do note that it is a few minutes away from the town center and will most likely require taxi rides, which is around $3.5 each way.

This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and we loved it!!! Everything was great, the place, decoration, ambiance, comfort, location, breakfast, service, size of bedrooms, cleanliness, and the views from the rooftop are beautiful. Gorgeous town and a fantastic hotel tucked in a barrio full of family’s. Daily breakfast was terrific, authentic Mexican food. Rooms were spacious and quiet.

Sanctuary in San Miguel de Allende
Amazing travel experience! The hospitality here is beyond compare, and the room, house, garden and food are all first rate! The views are spectacular. The high reviews for this property are not exaggerated. The only issue for some travelers would be the stairs to the front door and the uphill climb to this street, but there are taxis everywhere.

Es un lugar que tiene una vista privilegiada en su terraza , los servicios de cocina con Gloria y Sofía son muy ricos y amenos , Es un lugar muy bueno para descansar , solo que si tienes problemas articulares sobre todo en rodillas sufrirás por los muchos escalones para subir , están construyendo alrededor y golpean duro desde las 8 am hasta las 6 pm , un lugar muy limpio bien cuidado , habitaciones cómodas , cuando solicites un taxi pregunta el costo antes , pero altamente recomendable

Gracias por tus comentarios. Cierto que tenemos unos vecinos que están construyendo un cuarto, pero lo bueno es que los fines de semana no trabajan, y los días de semana se pusieron de acuerdo para comenzar a las 9. La demolición, que fue lo mas ruidoso ya termino desde finales de Enero 2020.

Lovely SMA
The property is beautiful and the views from the terrace are enviable. Francisco and Antonieta were both so warm and welcoming, along with the rest of their team. Breakfasts were delicious and the beds and linens were the best we have slept on in our three week Mexico vacation. The fridge full of beverages (adult and otherwise) was a lovely added touch.

This place is perfect. Antoinette is a lovely hostess with great recommendations. Our room was spotless. The linens are high quality. The attention to detail in decorating is amazing. The view from the rooftop is unbeatable. It is quiet and quaint and worth every penny. The only thing worth mentioning... is that it is a hike to get up the hill. We liked it to compensate for all that we ate... but it's a steep walk home! :)

The Inn is beautiful. We loved it. The rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly and the service top notch. Good location (about a 10 minute walk to the town center). Safe and quiet. Nothing bad to say. There is a garage to park a car, but I strongly advise against taking a car. I've driven in other parts of Mexico but San Miguel would be a nightmare with its narrow, cobble stone streets, steep hills and crazy layout. The B & B will arrange to have a car pick you up at the airport and also arrange a driver/guide for day trips (e.g., Guanajuato). Cost a bit more than renting a car but without the stress of driving and the potential nightmare of dealing with an accident.

La atención de los propietarios fué excelente. y los servicios también. Creo que cobrar por el estacionamiento no corresponde debido a que la tarifa ya es algo alta por la relación costo-valor. Y la ubicación es algo incomodo, sobre todo para ir al centro.

Gracias por sus comentarios. Cobramos por el estacionamiento para que menos gente traiga su coche, ya que estando en San Miguel de Allende, no se necesita. Vengan en autobuses, que son bien cómodos y mejor para el medioambiente. Respecto al costo-valor, les aseguramos que no encontrarán nada mejor en San Miguel de Allende a este precio. Respecto a la ubicacion, estamos a unos 5 minutos del mercado de artesanias y 10-12 minutos del jardín. Ademas, estamos suficientemente retirados del ruido del mero centro. Eso es un gran beneficio, para poder dormir en paz.

We had a wonderful time. Antigua Capilla B&B is amazing. The beds are so comfortable. The food was delicious. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Antonieta and her staff are wonderful. The facility was beautiful and private. The view from the rooftop terrace was stunning. Several outdoor areas where we could relax and enjoy the beauty around the facility, the hummingbirds, outdoor fountain and gardens. Our room was perfect, very inviting loved all the attention to the fine details and the boveda ceilings. Antonieta was very helpful with all her connections to tour guides and info concerning San Miguel and areas outside the city. The B&B is off of a charming walk way, once behind the black gate it is magical! Took us 15 min to walk to the main square. Easy to find taxis to go back up. ( approx 60 pesos). Would definitely stay here again!

It was like staying in a beautiful home, The owners, Antonieta and Franchesco, were extremely helpful ....directions, suggestions, arranging for car service and events. They couldn't have been more attentive. The facility was beautiful .....very clean, the breakfasts were great......what can I say ....the whole experience was wonderful/
