Beautiful location
Lovely location. Staff were freindly and helpfull. Towels didnt need changing as much as they were. Breakfast was nice but would have been nice to have full breakfast option and info about breakfast times in room

Good option for a short stay
Some areas of the hotel need a bit of a facelift, but the reception staff were friendly, our room was large and clean and we had a pretty view. We didnt have breakfast. To the hotel management: With some TLC this could be a destination hotel. You are also very lucky you have such nice, cheerful staff, it makes a real difference.

Ideal Family Retreat Venue
A delightful venue, where we were well looked after and perfect for a relaxing family trip with our dog. The staff were very accommodating, and patient with our dog who had a few barky moments! The beautiful garden was perfect to exercise our son and the dog, which was also ideal, and contributed to a restful sleep in an amazing bed. Only gripe was the shower, bit of a krypton factor scenario to get it to work properly, and the pressure was still poor. Otherwise lovely place, in a perfect location for a walk to Burley, or drive to wider New Forest locations.

Excellent little find. Wanted somewhere to stop over for the New forest Show. Burley is such a beautiful place to visit. Will definitely stay again.

Misleading as said bed and breakfast but then didn’t include breakfast. There was no hot water so cold showers. Staff were friendly and couldn’t fault them just don’t think it was good value for money with what we paid v’s the comfort of our stay

We loved the location of the hotel and the grounds of the hotel. The room had a lovely view out to the back of the hotel. I particularly liked the old vintage furniture.

Beautiful location!! We loved the birdsong and secluded area…still only a 10 minute walk to the pub so it was perfect Room was clean with a nice comfy bed overall it was great!

Good value for money
Good value for money, breakfast could do with an upgrade. But other than that we were very please with the family room. And the staff was nice and welcomming.

It’s a great location, beautiful setting. We had a great stay and staff were friendly and helpful. It was very hot as heating was on constant 😊 it was a shame the bar wasn’t open for the evening but we would stay again

Great location and dog friendly.
We only stayed one night but found the hotel nice. But best of all their location and dog friendly policy were a big hit with us.

Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Nothing seemed to be a problem but was not a delux room as described on our booking. The room was very dusty and cobwebs on ceiling. The room was nice and warm but smelt damp.

Geweldige lokatie in New Forest. Aardig personeel. Ontbijt is erg karig, geen eitje of verse ham of kaas. De staat van het tapijt in de hal, ontbijtzaal, op de trap en de overloop is schrikwekkend. Versleten, vol vlekken en muf.

A lovely looking hotel in a great location but a massive disappointment in the room. A very small room, 4 poster bed but no head board so pillows slip down the back continuously, very uncomfortable! Not much sleep! Too much furniture so you can only get in one side of the wardrobe.

We had a a really good stay. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious. The staff friendly and the food in the restaurant very good. I did have problems during my stay with warnings appearing on my mobile phone as the hotels wi fi is not password protected. That said I would happily return to the hotel in the future.

Rude staff.
The hotel was set in beautiful surroundings, within the new forest were horses roam freely. The garden area was delightful and had seating for those who wish to eat outside or simple have a drink or two. They have a small simple indoor pool which the children loved and the facilities all in all were pleasing. For me, what let this hotel down was the attitude of some staff members.. as a young family we were clearly not their usual clientele, and this was made obvious by the look on their faces when we passed through the hotel. One of the receptionist staff, an older lady was stood on the stairs having a chat with another lady who stood at the bottom, as the children passed her on the stairs, she stopped talking looked at each of them and screwed up her face. I appreciate she may have felt they they should have waited for her to move however I do not feel that she should have stood there mid flight of stairs having a chat in the first place, so her facial expressions were not needed and quite frankly rude and unprofessional. The oldest of the children who is 11, actually said she liked the hotel but not the people in it as they made her uncomfortable. So just to clarify, if you are an older person this place is for you, those of a younger age are not as welcome.
