We as a hotel take guest complaints very seriously. After researching the room you were in, we had guests in that room the day before and after your stay. No one made a complaint that there was any issue with an odd smell. I understand you wanted to cancel the reservation but when you called past the cancellation policy. You decided to stay. There is no mention that you called the front desk to complain about the issue, nor ask for another room. Otherwise, we would have moved you to another room..
