Property was clean and tidy, handy to town, plenty of parking and staff pleasant. Only thing is that the beds in the units with view are terrible. Have stayed here many times and that's the only thing oh and the room smelt smokey for some reason.

Nice big room with a separate upstairs for kids to sleep. Big bathroom & shower. Lovely swimming pool which was a hit for us & our son.

Clean, well run motel on the main street but rooms are quiet and we had an excellent view over towards the sound. Nice heated pooland hot tub. Rooms were clean and well kept.

Great place, handy location.
Great room, good location, lovely view. Amenities were good and as expected. Handy to everything. Great place to stay and visit Havelock and surrounding areas. Would stay again.

Comfortable and very convenient position
We enjoyed our stay at Havelock Motel and Motor Lodge. The service was good and the room was serviced both days of our stay, in some other motels it was not serviced after the first night. There was also a hot tub near the pool which we used and enjoyed.

The accommodation was adequate and practical, but the coffee was low grade and linen service spotty. Our friends’ unit linen was not changed after two nights of the 3-night stay. Our room linen was not changed the second night of stay. Toiletries were adequate. We liked the location, view, and proximity to Marlborough wine country. With some simple improvements, this is a repeat property for most. The manager was most helpful. Nihal and 3 others in 2 rooms for 3 nights.

Didn't like the advertising as being Luxury when it is absolutely not! The couch was filthy dirty and stained. No side tables to place coffee or a drink! The freezer in fridge was so frosted up and there were no ice cube trays. The view was of the carpark - to get a view we would have had to take our luggage up 2 full flights of stairs. It was raining on arrival and there was no cover over the stairs. The bathroom was nice and big but we hate bathrooms with the toilet not separate. Very disappointing when compared to the advertising - we didn't get what we were expecting!

Lovely stay .
We stayed two nights here and did the Pelorus Mail Boat Trip, it’s great. The only thing we had a long t of trouble with at this motel, and I don’t know if it was the motel or the area, was the Wi-fi. It was terrible, dropping out all over the place.

This was a last minute booking which surpassed expectations. Very well located in the middle of town. We got got the family room and it was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. We arrived quite late and they kindly kept the pool open a little longer for us to use which was wonderful! Would stay again.

Tried Motel Unit
Unit was a family room upstairs slept 3 (queen and single bed) and downstairs had queen bed. Felt unit overpriced for condition. Kitchen was very basic (old mobile hotplate and small microwave), mismatched china and if more than 2 people not enough. Beds and couch not overly comfortable. Bathroom dated and had problem with water not draining away properly in shower.
