Tractor trailers are parked and running all night on the street alongside the hotel. If you enjoy the sound of loud diesel engines thrumming 24/7, this is the hotel for you. If not, I suggest finding a quieter alternative.

We had to suddenly spend the night here due to the Interstate being closed at Hays because of a white-out blizzard. Huge shout out to the front desk staffer working solo managing a flood of last minute check-in, Felicia. She handled it with poise and grace. My only beef with this hotel is that while it’s a non-smoking hotel there was still a latent stale smoke odor lingering in our room either left over from a time smoking was allowed or a past violator. I’m not sure how this can be mitigated other than completely renovating the room

I stayed here two different times, first time was ok, but the toilet didn’t flush…I stayed 2 nights this time. I told the front desk the next morning and she said someone would come look at it. To my knowledge no one did cause room was never even picked up/trash taken. Second time I came which was last night, when I checked in, my mom wanted to put it on her card, but it was booked under my name. I asked the front desk receptionist to try my card two different times explaining that it might go through under my name, but she wouldn’t listen and just told me I needed to contact Expedia. She was nice, even called her manager, and then he called back and said it should go through under my card and it did…

When we entered our room, there was clearly something that had been spilled on the wall in the main and room and bathroom. Not cleaned. The bathroom door would not close and latch. Musty smell in room.

The customer service representative that was on at 830pm was awesome. He was helpful and courteous, made the check in process seamless.

Plumbing needed work, the sink leaked full stream if water all night. The tub drained very slow and when you turned on the shower the water poured out of the faucet joint.

The hotel was pet friendly and next to the interstate. They had breakfast included. The only dislike was the water that came out of the sink had a bad odor to it.

Good overnight stop
Pet friendly hotel, reasonably sized rooms, staff was friendly, and the morning breakfast was better than expected. Would stay overnight again.

I usually stay at the Best Western. About five months ago I stayed at this hotel in Hays, and the jacuzzi (hot-tub) wasn't working. Six months later is still not working... Can you advertise that on your website at least? I have another overnight stay tomorrow, and of course will skip this hotel...

We have stayed here many times in the past and have always been very satisfied but this time we were not. The Hot tub and pool was not working. The breakfast was horrible, the espresso machine was broken and they got rid of the yogurt machine they used to have and the sausage was burnt. The room also was not very clean, we found stains on the comforter and hair in the bathroom.

The hotel is nice. Staff was really kind. Only complaint is the smell in the lobby area is very chemically. Smelled like very strong cleaning chemicals all day everyday We were there. The floor in the lobby and the elevator was very dirty - didn’t appear to be cleaned even once the whole time we were there (which is strange given the cleaning supply smell). Also our room had splatters of something on the wall. Otherwise it’s a nice hotel. Would stay there again.

I have stayed at BWE and loved them.I rented this particular one because they had a pool and hot tub and our grandkids wanted to swim. Neither was in working order. It would have been nice to know that before I paid for a hotel with a pool!!! They offered to cancel but what can you do on a Friday night on a holiday weekend at 8:45 pm. The staff said, We’ll we have a sign on the counter. Thanks a lot! I had to drive 500 miles to read it!!!!

The reason this review didn’t get too marks is that the room smelled very strongly of cleaning supplies. While I appreciate the fact that it was very clean, the chemical smell was overwhelming. Other than that the hotel was very good and I appreciated it welcoming my dog, as well.

Dog friendly and comfortable.
Clean and comfortable, dog friendly. My only complaint was that my room was next to the mechanical room, which was quite loud at times.
