The owners Michael and Jeffrey are the best. They make you feel at home from the moment you arrive until you check out. The Dolan house décor is filled with love and charm, the Garret room where we stayed was very cozy and comfortable. Did I mention that the breakfast which was included was second to none. Hard to imagine finding a better Bed and Breakfast in Jim Thorpe.

Worst stay ever!!
Owners treated us with disrespect and were condescending. They offered no assistance with our WIFI issues. The owner dismissed our concerns and blamed a ghost was causing our failed internet connection. The room smelled musty and the fridge was noisy. Also, there was no television in our room. The lack of hospitality and the inability to make phone calls and receive them created an uncomfortable situation causing us to leave the establishment. The owners made no effort to assist or accommodate us in any way. The next day we received a call from the owner accusing us of taking the room key and that we would be charged for taking it.

Each of the breakfasts both days of our stay were excellent. I have celiac disease, notified owners in advance about need for gluten-free meals, and my request was fully accommodated. Highly recommend the Dolon House !

The Dolon house was an amazing place to stay, located right on Broadway and super convenient and easy to visit the town. The house was decorated with all kinds of interesting art and sculptures to look at. The Breakfast we were served in the morning was delicious and the service was excellent

We had the most amazing experience at the Dolon House. The house itself was beautiful. The owners Michael and Jeffri were wonderful. The attention to detail was outstanding. We sat on the front porch during a passing shower and enjoyed a cup of tea. The breakfast was more of an experience than just a breakfast. The food was delicious, but it was more than that. Michael is a wonderful storyteller and we learned so much about the history of Jim Thorpe. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay here!! Thank you! Scott and Gina Wagner

This was our first time staying at the Dolon House. We were greeted by Michael, the innkeeper, who gave us a tour and helped us with our bags. The Turrett Room was spacious, having a separate sitting room for coffee and reading. The unique trinkets and decor they’ve collected over the years are so neat. The breakfast was complex and perfect, nothing I’ve ever experienced before. My husband the picky eater, was catered to with eggs and ham, you just need to speak up, they want to please you. The coffee and lattes which were included at breakfast were top notch. They really put the love into their breakfast and hospitality. I would definitely recommend staying here and plan on returning.

Best B&B we have visited since the pandemic. Comfort, artwork, and breakfast just perfect in all respects. Cozy and what you want and expect. House is a historic gem that owners are wonderful to share with guests. Just enough around outside the front door in Jim Thorpe to be interesting without touristy.

Beautiful, quaint Victorian with tons of beautiful antiques to admire. Surrounding area extremely safe with tons of shops and places to eat. Visiting Jim Thorpe is akin to stepping back in time and is also very much like visiting modern day European towns steeped in history.

Gorgeous Queen Anne Victorian B&B! Like stepping back in time, but with all the modern comforts. The innkeepers were very knowledgeable in the history of the Jim Thorpe area and recommended the best sites and restaurants to visit while we were there. The 3-course breakfast is not to be missed. We had a lovely stay for our anniversary and can't wait for the opportunity to visit again.

Are you familiar with the phrase, It doesn't get much better than this? Well, the Dolon House epitomizes that! This inn is a true labor of love for Michael and Jeffri. They have taken an 1888 mansion, maintained its integrity, filled it with antiques and art, provided a homey relaxed atmosphere in which to visit the quaint town of Jim Thorpe, and offered not only superlative hospitality but gourmet cuisine. I have traveled the world and stayed at many fine places, and the Dolon House ranks among the very best!

This old mansion has been carefully updated by the owners, Michael and Jeffrey. The rooms are immaculate and all of the furnishings, decorations, and things like towels, bathrobes, etc are of the highest quality. These guys have spared no expense in making this place super nice. We stayed in the Doc Dougherty suite which included an outer sitting room, a king-sized bed, and a big bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. But the nicest thing about our stay was the lovely and very unique breakfast served by Michael and prepared by Jeffrey. It was all locally sourced and very fresh. My wife and I enjoyed our visit to this BnB and are planning to return.

The hosts were friendly and engaging, but the best was the three course breakfast that was served each morning. Wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone wishing to get away for a few days.

My wife and I highly recommend a stay at the Dolon House if you're in the Jim Thorpe area. The innkeepers, Michael and Jeffri, were the perfect hosts. Whether it was the most amazing breakfasts, the fabulous curiosities adorning the inn, or the interesting conversations with the proprietors, everything about our stay was wonderful. Both Michael and Jeffri are eager to share their knowledge of the town and the region and its place in the history of the American Industrial Revolution.
