Thank you for sharing your experience. The Finger Lakes region and the Wine Trail are in a rural area. There are no 'downtowns' here, which is one of the main reasons people come here - to get away from the city for a few days. Also - wine glasses are available for the asking. Thanks for sharing your experience Marjorie. Not sure what made your water unsuitable for you, but it's always best to bring things to our attention so we can remedy them. In that there were no other guests at the time you were there mentioning anything of concern about the water, and in that we drink the same water as the guests, it makes it a challenge to correct, if it needs correcting. It was great having you both as our guests and hope to see you again in the future.

Thanks for staying with us Gilbert. We are located on the main road through the Wine Trail, which most guests find to be very convenient when visiting the local wineries.. Th is also the road where all the hotels and motels have located, in order to provide convenience for their guests. So no matter where you stay, , all accommodations are subject to the same traffic. The difference here, is that our guests have 26 acres to enjoy the natural surroundings.

We appreciate your feedback Arthur. We do have a bathroom with hand rails and we would have been happy to switch your oom had you requested it. We also have hair dryers upon request.. We stopped leaving them in every room once our guests indicated that they had concerns about using a hair dryer that others have used. It's part of a constantly evolving list of needs that our guests prefer, or no longer prefer. The same thing has evolved with clocks. Once everyone started using cell phones, they nolonger required clocks - but we're happy to provide one upon request. Thankyou for stayingwith us. You were great guests.

We appreciate you sharing your expeerience, and this will be helpful tomothers. We are happy to replace towels whenever you need them, and also to pick up trash. All one has to do is text us for quick service.. We do that all the time. We are happy to provide what you need anytime, also including wine glasses, bottlemopeners, bath supplies, hair dryers, etc, along with answering questions about the area. It's clear that guest's expectations exceeded his experience. That experience would have been better had guest let us know about the issues he was having. We do know that the size of his room is standard for a motel, and the shower and bath tub are the normal size in every motel and home. Guest expectations vary. The great majority of our guests come to us because they value cleanliness, a spectacular natural setting overlooking the lake, dealing with a small family business, and convenience to the wineries and local attractions of most interest. But not everyone.

We're glad you enjoyed your accommodations and had a good stay - and we appreciate your feedback, which allows us to fis any shortcomings if they occur.FYI - the beds are deluxe queen beds. There are no double beds. Not sure which room you were in butif we had known your AC was not performing to your expectations, we could have swapped out the unit, and also avoided discomfort for the next guests. Recently we experienced a limited and intermittent decrease in water pressure. Our service company worked at diagnosing the issue for about 3 weeks, and finally found the defective part and replaced it. Since then, pressure has been fine. Our water, like nearly every hotel and motel in the Finger Lakes, is from a well.. The system was designed by an engineer and then inspected by the Dept of Health to assure it met their requirements. which it did. The wateroperates vcery much like a city water system. As it is drawn from the well it is injected with chlorinr, then passes through an inline sediment filter, and then Through ultraviolet light to kill bacteria. It is tested every day, and samples are examined several times a year by an approved lab> Our family has owned the motel for over 16 years, and at least 1 family member has lived there every day from the beginning - and we all have been drinking that water. Guests who live in places where they have "city water" will likely seb=nse a different taste, but it's every bit as clean and safe to drink.We hope to have you stay with us again sometime.
