I checked in and only after that did the young lady at the desk tell me “oh by the way there is no water because a pipe has broken but they are working on it and it will be on shortly”. Then I ran into a guy in the elevator, who tells me there was no water the day before either, and they are not working on it, because he saw the workers leave. I told the lady at the front desk I needed to clean up because I was going out to dinner with friends and she said nothing, just looked at me with a blank look on her face. So I ended up going to dinner the way I was after a long trip.
When I got back after dinner, I was told that the water should be on in a few hours, and they were working on it. The pipe had burst the day before, had been repaired, but broke again today at 11 o’clock, and still has not been repaired at seven this evening. I went to bed, exhausted at 8 o’clock with no water and woke up this morning at 5:30 and there is still no water.
This is unsafe, completely inappropriate, and worse yet I feel like the staff has been disingenuous about the situation. I never write reviews and almost always give people the benefit of the doubt, but this situation is ridiculous. I understand that things happen unexpectedly. What’s open understanding and consideration from the hotel and staff will go along way. I will be expecting a refund and hoping for an apology. I don’t think it will be coming because they don’t seem to care, wow this has been unreal.
