Enjoyable, comfortable stay in a great spot in Darwin, walking distance to everything (but you will get hot if you try and walk to botanic gardens in the middle of the day!). Great pool, will definitely stay there again.
Stayed for 2 nights either end of a tour to Kakadu. Check in/out was quick and easy. Room on first night had a nice view of the water, second stay room looked over the road. Rooms were clean and well presented, little mouldy around the fans in the bathrooms but I expect there's not much they can do about that. Shower was large, plenty of hot water - definitely appreciated after a few days camping in the national parks. Air con and ceiling fan kept rooms cool. Rooms are small for what would typically be a long-stay place, but was fine for a couple of nights. Location is good for access to Mitchell Street, lots of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Also a Coles and Woolworths within 10 mins walk for groceries etc. Short walk to the Esplanade for great views of the sunset over the water. Kitchenette has a convection oven/microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge, plus a dish drawer. Plenty of plates, glasses etc. but minimal silverware provided. When I checked out after my first night they were happy to hold onto my suitcase for me until I returned - as there were some valuables in it they stored it behind the check in desk in a secure area. Note if you don't request this, luggage is generally stored in the hallway and conference room which anyone can access.
