The checkin was terrible, evidently it’s a dual facility at Days Inn and Super 8. We were in town to attend a funeral of a family member. We arrived a night early and asked to extend the reservation to include that day. We arrived after 11 PM, and the agent was friendly, but not knowledgeable. He then told me to get a better rate to book my room off the Internet while I was standing in the lobby. Since he did not appear to know what he was doing, complied and booked on the Internet. However, the reservation never came through so ultimately wound up paying the walk up rate with my credit card. I was told Expedia never charged the room, but I don’t know that for sure as I have not received my statement for this timeframe. There is a possibility I will be overcharged once the statement comes. After a 30 minute ordeal just trying to get into the room I was told as I was exiting that the agent made a mistake and I would have to check out of one room and check back in to another room the next day even though it was on the same property. Being there for a funeral this was not convenient. The next morning I received a phone call at around 9 o’clock in the morning waking up my 93 your old father stating I would have to come down and cancel my previous reservations and rebook a new reservation if I needed to stay in the same room, or I could check out and check back in later in the day. The manager of the facility was very rude, condescending, and difficult to work with.
