Amazing location and the walled city is a 5 min walk. The rooftop pool was refreshing after a long day in the sun and overall had a great stay at this hotel. Even though the room was booked for 2 ppl and considering it's a vip room, we had to call for extra towels and toilet paper as the room was prepared for 2 person. Some stuff didn't work in the room like the bedside lamp but that didn't impact my stay. Didn't try the restaurant on site but the staff were very helpful and the room was perfect for relaxing after being in the sun all day. Again, amazing location a few steps away from the busyness of the city but still extremely close to the action. One street over. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, steps from the Cartagena convention center. The rooms are modern and clean, although small so they lack a table or desk where to work from. Great food and the best customer service!!!

Location was perfect - short walk from the main center of old city, less noise and better price! The pool was amazing. I only ate breakfast a couple times at hotel, but seemed robust. My only challenge was very few people speak english, so a little hard to communicate. Especially when housekeeping kept taking my towels and not replacing them. Would go back again though!

The GHL Arsenal Hotel is located overlooking the bay area and is within walking distance of everything Cartaenga has to offer. The marina, the Walled City, and the lively streets of Getseme are a 4-minute walk! The hotel itself is lovely, modern, and clean. The rooms themselves as well as the bathroom are on the smaller side but modern and clean. There is a yummy little restaurant on the premises in which I only had breakfast. A delicately displayed buffet offers a variety of foods and fruits with more options to order from the menu. The outdoor pool overlooks the marina of boats coming in and out from the country’s beautiful islands. The poolside ambiance is chill with good music. This hotel has a cool, serene vibe that contradicts its vibrant life outside its doors. The street itself is not noisy but as soon as you walk around the corner, it’s surely action-packed. The hotel’s staff is friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to customer requests. I recommend using their concierge to book excursions versus dealing with the vendors yourself. They will arrange everything directly for you, which is great. I highly recommend staying at the GHL Arsenal Hotel, wonderful hotel and service, and the location was beyond ideal! Quiet which I appreciated and steps away from all the action!

It was located right by the convention center, easy to find and very convenient to walk to both Walled city and Getsemaní area. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices and friendly staff, rooftop pool with bar was absolute bliss. It was just perfect.

The bed was hard, woke up with back pain every day. The single room was tiny, with no table or chair to sit at. The only place to sit was the bed. And barely luke warm water in the shower, never warm enough, and never hot. Good location though. I would stay there again if the bed could be improved, and if there could be hot water in the shower.

Service beim Frühstück katastrophal! Wir mussten mindestens 1,5 Stunden einplanen, da erstmal Plätze aufgeräumt werden mussten, damit man sich hinsetzen kann. Dann 30 Minuten bis man Kaffee erhalten hat (aus der Kanne) und dann nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung konnte man erst sein Ei bestellen, worauf man nochmal 30 Minuten gewartet hat. Die Frau vom Frühstück ist lustlos und unfreundlich. Sie sollte sich lieber einen neuen Job suchen. Geschmacklich auch katastrophal. Die Auswahl ebenfalls sehr schlecht. Wir haben auf unserer Kolumbien Rundreise unter anderem auch in Hostels geschlafen, welche einen deutlich besseren Service aufweisen und wo das Frühstück richtig gut war. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Aber auch hier wird sich nicht an das „Versprechen“ des Hotels gehalten. Die Betten werden nicht wie ausgeschrieben alle 2 Tage gewechselt. Wir hatten auch mehrfach kein warmes Wasser und erst nach Beschwerde an der Rezeption wurde dies „abgestellt“. Positiv: Personal an der Rezeption äußert freundlich, Liegen am Pool sehr bequem (negativ: keine Sonnenschirme, d.h. man kann nur in der prallen Sonne liegen oder den Rooftop erst abends / späten Nachmittag nutzen. Auch hier sind oft keine Handtücher vorhanden.) Insgesamt: KEINE 5 Sterne, maximal 3 Sterne verdient. Nicht weiterzuempfehlen.

This was my 4th or 5th time on the hotel. I chose it because it is on the outside of the touristy area, close enough to walk to but not as crazy. Especially as a female solo traveler I feel safe walking to and from. The rooftop pool bar is also perfect - not as trendy as others so perfect for enjoying the weather, the view, the water and a nice cocktail. The breakfast is great. The restaurant at the hotel is amazing. And I have had the best massages in my life at the Wellness Center. The staff is amazing - very attentive and personable.

Toilet did not flush, no hot water at times. Breakfast buffet was just bad, price did not justify the hotel. Staff was friendly for the most part but waiter at the pool and breakfast area seemed to need more training. I wouldnt stay here again.

Hotel was very clean and staff was very kind and personable. Everything was in walking distance so it was very convenient to get to restaurants, bars, lounges etc. We did not care for breakfast as much. Had an omelette and Vienna sausages were used, yuck. Other than that, I would still recommend the hotel. Great view of the city from the rooftop restaurant with the pool.

I can say this has been one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The employees are extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel is nice, clean, with a great location close to el Centro, Getsemaní and Bocageande. It feels like home. Very happy we chose this hotel and will definitely be back.

While the pool is beautiful, property is great, and the breakfast service is wonderful, do not trust the concierge at all and DO NOT attend the trip to Rosario. You will waste your day at a beachless patch of rocks and be stranded with nowhere to go. You will also be bombarded with gallons of water on the boat ride back, both things that we were never warned of. Electronics were destroyed.

Rooms are quite small but the bath towels are enormous. For a couple with luggage it would be cramped. One person can manage Administration and all the employees very kind and helpful.

Amazing hotel. All the staff were so kind and helpful. We arrived at 10:30am on the day of check in and they were able to get us into a room right away and even a free upgrade! We appreciated this so much as we had been travelling through the night. You can also really see that the hotel pays attention to customer feedback because before booking I read a review that mentioned that their were no umbrellas by the pool area but for our stay there was so they must have added them. The breakfast was very good so much selection and the staff was so attentive. They also allowed us to check out an hour and a half later then scheduled because we had an evening flight. No complaints about this hotel and I will definitely return next time I visit Cartagena.

Overall great location and stay. Only thing was they didn’t upgrade my room and it was my husband bday celebration and I had another group staying there too. Other than that the staff was amazing and everything was super clean. Breakfast was amazing every day

This is a place for a people that they want to stay quiet peacefully with excellent service, for my wife and me was the perfect place plus the breakfast that is more that you can expect and the administration is very compromised with the excellency. If you don want to get and keep family concept, this is the place and you can go everywhere and the personal is Excellent.

Extremely clean and delightful staff. The breakfast was good (coming from a picky eater) and the room was gorgeous. I felt extremely safe here too :-)

Check in was quick and easy. Great breakfast. All of the staff was very nice. Nice view from the roof top. Super clean. I would recommend this hotel.

Great staff! Just before taking a taxi from the hotel ask for the price. Most rides cost about 10 mil pesosto 15 mil pesos. The taxi drivers will over charge you
