Only if you are extremely hard of hearing or do not plan on sleeping should consider this property. There are large dogs roaming that bark incessantly. I am typing this at 3am because I can’t sleep a wink over this cacophony. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Very nice and quiet setting. Fun’ bc to see and interact with the animals. Cabin was very clean. Suggest replacing display cabinet in Cabin 4 with small dresser to provide more space for clothes, etc.

So lovely to find a "country hideout" as I don't like franchised hotels. My room was lovely. So nice to have a fridge, microwave, coffee, hot tub, animals, access to hiking trails nearby!

Great Stay and Experience
Very clean and comfortable stay with great communication with host. I got room with private outdoor jacuzzi which was a great a private experience for the family. Everything was clean and all things we needed were provided. Plenty of animals to see on property and I would definitely book again.

Enjoyable Private Peaceful sink
That Mr Patrick was very nice to come and welcome us. Also he told us the history of the place. It was a very nice place and comfortable. - Mother in law Me I was pick Just Sleep inn then go because near by destination here . But, enjoyed stay cottage inside was clean Cute place. Next Morning walk arond Met duck dogs alpaca donky cats 😊stress free to ready to out sightseeing.

Loved the Alpacas and the willingness of the host to take us around to meet the animals. Breakfast was fantastic. Room was lovely with great view of lake and ducks.

Perfect for a night for newlyweds
My daughter and her husband were married earlier that day at The Grove and they stayed the night in one of the cottages as it was late and they are planning a honeymoon later. They had a lovely time and felt very safe and comfortable. They shared that the owner was super hospitable and found the entire grounds charming. They wished they had more time to explore. Next time!!

Great Place!
Jim is a great host! The Alpaca experience is such a unique touch to go along with the rest of the unique animals at the ranch. Including the 2 legged variety. Breakfast served on the porch next to the pond was such a special touch. Jim talks to you like a friend with some Irish humor!!! Lol. Keep it up!!

Very unique place to stay when visiting my daughter at UNT! We both had fun petting the animals, enjoyed peace & quiet and a delicious breakfast. The “alpaca experience” was a nice treat!

Unique Agritourism Retreat for Couples
Very interesting and unique getaway just on the outskirts of civilization. We used it as a stopover on a longer trip rather than stay in a typical chain hotel. The owners were friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable in our lovely bungalow on their small alpaca farm. The property's small pub was closed due to COVID-19 precautions, but we were able to meet some of the animal residents, enjoy the private hot tub attached to the cottage, and had a nice breakfast delivered. Highly recommended and romantic.

Enjoyed our visit. Great host, property has nice clean cottages. Hot Tub was nice. Breakfast was delicious.

Peace and tranquility with personality
A great afternoon, evening, and morning of relaxing in a tranquil setting, with a lot of fun stories and animals! Jim was a great host, and a wonderful storyteller! The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. The morning tour of the ranch and feeding the chickens, ducks, and alpacas was a lot of fun. The Great Pyrenees dogs are a treasure!

Great get away close to home
We had a great breakfast in bed. Food was wonderful, room was great, and staff was very friendly. We are planning to return monthly, just to get away from reality.

Night Away
Everything it purported to be. Made for a great night away with the wife. Proprietors were friendly and welcoming and the livestock were adorable. Ultimately very quaint, cozy, and straight salt of the earth.

Very outdated. Needs lots of TLC. Storm blew through and took out the electricity. Due to the heat we were unable to stay the night. The pub was opened using candles for light, was not enough reason to stay. We were offered 1/2 off the next time we come. There will not be a next time.

Sorry for the inconvence of the weather, which we cannot control...you were not charged for the 3rd night. Please note...We also sent you a day ago a Gift Certificate for a full stay. Your wife indicated, as she was leaving, that she had a very good experience here. Over the last 90 days, all of our reviews have been 5 stars...and there have are many...we have in total over 500 reviews at 4.8 to 5 star reviews. We try to accomodate our guests always. Sorry we could not make your stay better and we wish you the best.

Great place to stay
We had a great time staying here. We had everything we needed. The next morning we even got to feed the alpacas, which was a lot of fun! Definitely recommend staying here!

The tiny house was spotless, and the hosts have thought of everything. Loved the alpaca soap! The continental breakfast was quite substantial. We smacked on its contents all day. A very unique getaway and we felt like we were very far away from a large city.

Everything was perfect. Great service, cottages were super cool and the service was top notch. Great getaway, quiet, peaceful and fun wildlife. Alpacas were fun. Soooo much better than any hotel stay.

I'm a business traveler who spent two days at this B&B to escape from the monotony of hotels. What a treat! The cabin was comfortable and well decorated, and I loved the front porch rockers from which I could enjoy the view of the pond and animals. The hosts were lovely people, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at a B&B. Would highly recommend this facility for a fun and unique experience.

An amazing experience
From the moment we booked at the old irish bed and breakfast we knew we were in for a treat. Patrick was hilarious on the phone and funnier in person. Even though it was 30° out and gloomy that didn’t stop us from enjoying the grounds. From the kissing alpacas and sharing drinks at the inn with Patrick to the hot tub, the old Irish b&b blew our expectations out of the water just in our short stay. I highly recommend staying here no matter the occasion, you are sure to have a memorable experience.

This is an awesome place to get away, relax, and enjoy nature. Very family oriented with all of the dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, lamas, and alpaca. There was even a baby alpaca still nursing when we stayed here. The rooms are nice and the bed was perfect for my tired bones to rest on every evening.

A very nice surprise B&B near Denton TX

Don't let the animal farm fool you
The host and hostess were very kind and gracious. Made me feel more than welcome. They brought a generous breakfast box the evening before and helped with the shower function. It was my first bed and breakfast experience. I can't say enough good things about the place and two beautiful people there. It's a home away from home and I highly recommend it.

Fun, Comfortable, Cozy Bed and Breakfast
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. This was an amazing and unique experience. This place definitely EXCEEDED our expectations. The innkeeper was charming, funny, and made us feel like we were at home. The cottages are clean, spacious, and cozy. You are surround by fenced in llamas, alpacas, dogs, and ducks. All of the animals are friendly. You can touch the animals. There is a pond on the premises. You can fish for catfisth (catch and release). Each cottage has a porch with rocking chairs, and an outside fan. My husband and I sat on the porch, rocking in the rocking chairs, and listening to jazz when we got back that night. It was lovely. I can't wait to go back!!!

We loved our stay with all the alpaca's. Jim is the perfect host and the morning breakfast is more the generous. The cottage is well set out and the porch lovely to sit out on with the pond and fountain to sooth the soul. We certainly will return when in the area.

Cozy Quiet bad and breakfast
This is a wonderfully peaceful place to visit with your own cabins. The staff is fantastic and every morning there's an excellent breakfast waiting up at the main building. If your looking for something more private and relaxing but still the price of a local hotel this is your place.

Great for a honeymoon or an anniversary
Jim, the owner, is very friendly and will do anything to help your stay be relaxing and memorable. He knows the best places to eat in the area and is happy to make the reservations for you. Although this is a working farm, there are no unpleasant smells or sounds. It's very relaxing and enjoyable. Although you are less than 10 minutes away from great shopping and food, you feel like you are out in the country with no worries. Basically, all the advantages of a remote location without any of the disadvantages. Jim provides excellent free wifi for his guests. We had a great experience and want to go back there on our next anniversary. I recommend this as a wonderful place to have a fun, relaxing, romantic getaway.

Love, love, lover the Old Irish Bed and Breakfast
I had such a lovely stay at the Old Irish Bed and Breakfast aka the alpaca ranch. It was so much more fun than staying at a regular hotel. The cabins were very well appointed and extremely comfortable. And I really loved hearing all the sounds of nature just outside my door. The owners Jim and Rita prepared a scrumptious breakfast every morning and Jim entertained and educated with his talks about alpaca husbandry and everything Irish. I would definitely stay there again when I am in the Dallas area.
