Thanks for your stay! We are delighted that you loved the service and healthy, filling breakfast. We serve eggs cooked to order, yoghurt, granola, fresh fruit and bread, local jams, teas and coffee. We also have teas and drinking water available all day and night in the reception area. As you say, it is a quiet neighbourhood, which is situated in the old Inca part of Ollantaytambo with no vehicles other than our tricycle cart. We are a five minute walk from the busy Plaza de Armas and our staff are really happy to pick you up from there and help with luggage. Most guests are enchanted by the beautiful walk along the street lined with a small babbling water canal. It is a chance to see the ancient streets of Ollantaytambo that many tours will miss due to time constraints.We have Queen size beds in over half our rooms, so please let us know if you require one of these when you book. All other beds are standard doubles or single beds and every room has at least a double bed in it, often paired with a single bed to give us flexibility of occupancy. Rooms have powerful showers and good wifi, which we have improved over the last year thanks to a better connection. Like you say our staff are wonderful, really helpful, so please drop us a line with any questions or for help organizing tours, airport pick-ups or other taxis.

Thanks for your stay and your review. We are about 20 minutes' walk from the train station and there are mototaxis (tuktuks) available near the plaza. Our location is much quieter than the train station, which is very busy with traffic. We are in the Inca part of town, on a pedestrian street underneath the mountain Pinkuylluna, with lovely views. Our staff are happy to bring your luggage from the plaza to Apu Lodge and this is all part of our great service.

Like you say, we are an easy way just a few minutes from the centre of town, the main plaza. The street is a cobbled pedestrian Inka lane that is not accessible to motorised transport. Like you say, this is not an issue for most guests, and makes the area very peaceful. We have a tricycle we can use to help transport luggage from the main square/plaza. Happy travels!

Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry, our driver was waiting for you for an hour but couldnt wait any longer, although he did return to pick you up when you called after arriving very late. I am sorry he didnt contact our staff to get the cart down to the plaza for you. Our night person and receptionists are happy to provide the hairdrier, I am sorry that didnt work out for you and that the wifi was poor during your stay. We have had some difficulty with our provider recently although it is good at the moment. Apologies for the issues with your stay, usually we try to give the best possible service. I am glad that nevertheless you like the Lodge and the views.
