Cleanliness — we couldn't help but notice the ugly grey mould growth around the caulking and in the corners of the tub area. Not very appealing I gotta tell you, not very appealing at all!
And staying with the cleanliness theme, the carpet mats in the room area have likely been there for quite some time. I can only imagine how many pairs of sweaty feet have traipsed over them. Time for a refresh, or even better yet, get rid of them completely and stick with only the tiled floor.
Sleep Quality -- you have to do better! My partner and I have stayed at B&Bs the world over and in our opinion at least the mattresses your establishment provided rank as some of the poorest we have come access. You’re in the BED business after all where guests are looking for a luxurious BED experience. The mattresses you provide should be plush and COMFORTABLE to sleep in. An “oh my God these beds are beautiful” experience is what we were expecting. The thin, firm and well-worn product provided by Rivonia is certainly not worthy of the rate they charge to rent the room.
We also ordered a dinner one evening at their restaurant. For the most part the meal served was satisfactory, but the lead time could be shortened. I appreciate that their food is prepared fresh to order but waiting some 45 minutes for a burger to show up is a little excessive in my view. Breakfast however was of superior quality and the staff in attendance for the breakfast service were excellent.
