About 3 miles from Yarm. No staff at address so had get key from a lock safe. Room was too hot on arrival. Difficult to get cooler. Eventually turned off towel rail but ended up with a cold shower on day 2. Also a cracked toilet seat. Nobody about for assistance. Also on arrival toilet had not been flushed with both types evident to flush away. This was a shame as room was spotless and nicely decorated. Loud noises from room above so not a good nights sleep unfortunately.

Quirky but nice.
Lovely quirky place with a very friendly, helpful manager. Our room was OK, rather basic but overall nice and clean. There are no breakfast facilities so it means a drive into Yarm - tho it's a really lovely town. The pub is very close by and does do evening meals.

Nice room but don’t rely on charging your car here
The Tool Shed room was nice and very clean. Check in was easy. Had booked this place because it advertises a charger for electric cars and I was travelling in my EV from Manchester so needed to charge. I called the day before to check the chargers toe to make sure it was compatible and received a photo of the charger. All good so far. Unfortunately when we arrived and saw where the charger was there was a large caravan next to it so was not accessible unless you had a 10m cable - standard 5 or 6m cables will not reach. After checking with the the guy when we checked in it looks like this caravan is permanently there. Only other problem we had was that the hot water ran out after about 10 seconds so had to have cold showers. Location is good and the pub About 50m away is really nice.

Hosts decided to have a party. They said we were invited, so said hello as not to be rude, but music didn’t finish till, 01.30. People didn’t leave till 2.00. Then family was up taking till 03.30. Only 30m away from our room. Had been to work that day and had been up since 6.00. Was hoping for a nice relaxed stay with hot tub. Hot tub was nice on the night. Decided to go in the hot tub again before we checked out, but it had gone cold showing error. Reception only open 3-7, and they choose not to answer the phone any time before or after, so pointless.

The Old Mill is extremely picturesque, looks amazing and the hosts are great too! Rooms were a decent size and very clean. We booked to stay here as we were visiting Teesside Autodrome the next day. Not far from the track at all! Overall brilliant place to stay and I'll be staying here in the future when I'm visiting Teesside again.

I had a great at the old mill. I was welcomed by carmen who was a lovely lady. She showed us the room and gave us a quick tour. The hot tubs was great and the room was very clea.

great little place only down side is only access to fresh air is the huge front doors so have to sit with it open to get fresh air.

For the love of god, don’t stay here
I stayed in room 5. There was zero WiFi signal even though the hotel specially states that there’s free wifi. If you have to leave your room to get WiFi signal, your hotel DOES NOT have wifi and you shouldn’t advertise as having it. The best was chronic back pain inducing. Old, thin mattresses. The stairs to the room were also similar to that of an Escher painting. I have enclosed a picture. If you’re wondering, my camera was straight when taking the pic.

Upon check-in reception said they did not have our booking but they then checked a different system and found it (we had pre-paid) but informed us the apartment was not available. They instead offered a family room instead which had no WiFi and would have worked out £40 overall cheaper and we had to really bargain with reception in order to get a full English breakfast included based on this. The room was extremely dated with mould in the bathroom, extremely dusty carpets and not the nicest smell. Breakfast did not taste very nice and was not as clean as we would have liked at all. The staff were all attentive though and kind but just disappointing as we had high hopes for the stay and was not nice to spend two nights there including a day getting ready for a late afternoon wedding when we had actually booked an apartment between us. Location was nice though. Decor was extremely dated which is another reason why it potentially did not feel as clean as you would like.

Sad - basic 2 bed appt wasn’t actually at the Mill
Basic 2 bed ground floor apartment not attached to the mill, in fact 5 mins away, wasn’t expecting to be staying away from the Mill itself so was a little shocked as had picked it purely for staying walking distance to friends. Also breakfast and local pub......still there was a co-op nearby. Otherwise Mill itself looked beautiful and would like to visit again.

The key was left for us on the door but had the wrong name on it. After trying to ring the owner and expedia 2 ladies eventually came out and said that it was defiantly our key. After climbing a very dangerous staircase which was hanging away from the wall making you feel like it was about to collapse is was so wobbly.most defiantly a health and safety matter. The shower door was hanging off, the minute sink in the bathroom you could not even clean your teeth in due to a shelf being right in the way. Lastly the tea and coffee facilities where terrible, no milk so a total waste of time. To say the least us paying £90 was a total rip off.

Well where do I start shower broke, door broke joking room door didn’t lock and only has cloths rail in front to block opening. Tiled around the bed ever to save money or to stop bed travelling from one room to other while having xxx. Hot tub lovely how ever there was walk way behind as if it like dogging viewing pictures of hotel were obviously photo shopped because thing like it in really life

We didn't get the chance to enjoy it because they cancelled our room at 12.35 on day of arrival after we travelled 110miles to get there. It was on the day of the Take That Concert 1/6/19 . Attitude was awful really didn't care. Would not recommend

Friendliest welcome I have had
Friendliest welcome I have had for a long time. Good food & beer just 1 minute walk to the local pub. Room was fine for the price. The whole site (ex-windmill) added to the experience. I'll definitely be back if work takes me back to that area of the country.

Había comida estropeada en el frigorífico, que no se podía abrir del olor tan desagradable que despedía. En el lavaplatos había cubiertos y vasos sucios. Detrás de un radiador había colillas. En un apartamento para cuatro sólo había dos sillas, y el sofá está completamente hundido. Nos dieron la llave del apartamento equivocada,tuvimos que esperar al responsable casi media hora, de noche y con mucho frío. Llegó riéndose.

We would stay here again.
This is a pleasant B & B, the staff were friendly and helpfull and the rooms were comfortable. We booked three rooms but we all had some trouble controlling the heating and were either too hot or too cold. Although the B & B was good value overall we were disapointed to be asked to pay an additional £4 per head for a cooked breakfast. Had this been included in the room price we wouldn't have thought twice about it. We all paid the extra and the food was excellent and served in a welcoming breakfast room.

Filthy and horrible place. avoid staying
We booked this place because of the photos on the site but don't be fooled!!! We expected a lovely stay but got possibly the worst hotel experience of our lives. - Cobwebs - Holes in floors - No hot water - Filthy and dusty rooms - Broken beds - No tea, coffee or water - Leaking sinks - No working wifi To name just a few.... The staff don't care and are very, very rude when you ask them anything. a horrible experience that we will be looking to forget. My advice is to avoid!

The Old Mill
Very peaceful place to stay. The mill building is lovely. You actually stay in a converted building / barn at the side. The rooms are clean. Towels and bedding are fresh. The bathroom is nice and spacious but needs a complete overhaul. The mixer tap on the bowl sink moves and wobbles so a bit scary to use in case it breaks. The shower tray has sunk at one corner and there is rising damp up the wall beside the toilet. Also no hot water on the morning that we left. So no shower 😏 Also a bigger updated TV with more channels would be good. However the price we paid was very reasonable and we did get value for money. I would stay there again.

Avoid at all costs the apartment 1 knebworth court
Firstly when we arrived at the property we went earlier to see if we could check in upon arrival the owner sat in her car as myself and another couple rang the bell and sat outside in full view as she was on her phone. We had the apartment 1 knebworth close when we got there it stayed we had WiFi no WiFi at all was no connection in the back. I had booked for 2 adults and 3 children the double bed was shameful and uncomfortable the kids bed made up was about 2 inches off the floor wooden slats and thin mattress (see photo) was supposed to be for a 15 year old he had to sleep on the sofa. The surrounding area was nice as I’m originally from the north east. Avoid this place at all costs !!! Do not book best advice I can give. Upon going to hand the keys back in my partner went in to mention the bed and WiFi the lady just said thanks for telling me about the WiFi !!! That was it and didn’t even apologise. Customer service terrible !!!!!
