Great location, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and the beach. The staff is great and very helpful. The rooms have a comfortable bed and are clean but are extremely small, the bathroom is a decent size but not very practical, there’s no counter space and the shower was a bit strange. The only complaint we really had was the valet, they offer valet, for a fee, but is through a company that serves several hotels in the area so it takes forever to get the car, we waited over 1 hour for our car to be brought around.

Our stay was wonderful! The Blue Moon hotel has a fantastic staff, everyone is extremely helpful. The resort provides you with a $25 voucher for the restaurant on the property, gym membership, towels and chairs for the beach, and more. The room was spacious and clean. They came to refresh the room daily. I would definitely be staying again!

The staff was extremely slow to check in - and they didn't know where their valet was, and with limited parking my spouse had to drive around for over 45 minutes before he could pull in front of the hotel to THEN WAIT for the valet

We stayed here for a mini-vacation (4 days) in South Beach before departing on a cruise from Miami. This was the PERFECT place to be close to everything, yet out of the craziness that exists on Ocean Drive. One block away from the beach, all the restaurants you could want, yet quiet enough to sleep at night - we couldn't have been happier. The staff was outstanding - from the front desk, to the bar and restaurant service - we were completely satisfied and would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel was a perfect little place to stay for a girls long weekend so close to everything. It was perfect. The staff were great. They were polite. They were helpful very nice and we loved a little bar, especially with the bartender Rodney he was the best. He was funny. He was attentive, and he made a hell of a cocktail.

We found that this hotel was in a great location. Only 1 block from Ocean Drive and Miami Beach but much quieter. Lots of dining options. Easy walk around and close for Uber to Bayside etc. Only a 15-20 minute drive to the airport. Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful. Would stay again.

The hotel is like most hotel on South Beach, nothing amazing, nothing bad. The walls are paper thin though and it's easy to hear the conversations of the other guests (also like most South Beach hotels). The front desk was not great - when I arrived around midnight, there was no-one to be seen, I walked in the hotel to find someone and couldn't find anyone. I waited more and finally a lady showed up and said "I just arrived, you need to wait" - not what I expected. Next day, same thing, no-one at reception and have to wait 10 minutes again.

The guy at check-in was the most miserable person I’ve encountered in a very long time. Certainly the worst front desk person I’ve ever encountered. The bartender, Rodney was a class act and I appreciated his demeanor and sense of humor. The hotel had a musty odour. I won’t be returning.

Dirty and unclean are what immediatley come to mind from the moment you walk into the hotel. Just glance down at the baseboards to see years of dirt and dust. Then have a look at the tired filthy rugs and couches in the lobby. Come on people this is basic 4 walls approach. Keep your place clean and people will notice. Its just gross at this point. Property is old and tired. Its a 2 star hotel. Dont be fooled

I stayed at the Blue Moon overnight before a cruise. The staff is wonderful! Alex and Devontae gave great recommendations for restaurants and cafes that were a short walk from the hotel. JP allowed us to relax under the covered terrace until closer to our embarkation time - he also made sure we were comfortable. Although the hotel is an older property, it has been renovated to keep its own boutique hotel charm. I especially loved the water pressure and shower amenities in the bathroom - best hotel shower I have had in a long time! We had to change our dinner plans due to an untimely downpour. We ate at the hotel bar and had the best chicken sandwich with french fries - I highly recommend both.

Good base for visiting the area
The only problem we had at the Blue Moon was that there was an area wide power cut when we arrived, so they couldn’t check us in. Obviously not their fault, but we were well looked after with a drink while we waited and a reduction in our bill. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The pool area is small but a comfortable place to relax. We had a good meal in the cosy bar area one evening. It’s close to the action on Ocean Drive, only a block away, while far enough removed to be quiet, if that’s what you want. We stayed for a couple of nights before joining a cruise and would happily return in the future.
