We absolutely loved this condo! The view is very lovely. Kitchen and bathroom are updated. Has everything you need. Central location. The only thing negative was that the couch wasn't very comfy, so we pulled it iut out to a bed and that was better.

Live under their rules (some made on the spot)
This condominium has so many rules and you have to purchase some stuff (trash bag, soap, shampoo) for yourself. the most expensive cleaning services of all the places that I have stayed and the cleaning lady comes in early and give us a little bit of attitude still being there. a couple were listening to music at a very low volume by the pool and the manager came to ask them to turn it off. p.s. if you really wish of stay here, wash all the dishes before use.

Beautiful view in comfortable condo
Nice condo with everything we needed. They had beach towels for us. They also had soap for the washing machine and other little things that made a big difference. The living room had a beautiful view of Wailua Bay. We could walk to the local shops, and it was a short drive to a nice Foodland and Safeway. They gave us a discount card for Foodland that was very useful.

Arrived at 3:00PM check in time. Had to call management company to get door entry code. Once inside the unit had not been completely cleaned. There were bags of cleaning supplies and cleaning rags laying around. Again called management company to inform them. Unit had a musty smell. Internet was intermittent to non existent, frustrating. Weather was hot and humid and there was only a ceiling fan in living room..useless. Bedroom had portable air conditioner/ceiling fan which was the main hang out area when we were in condo.

I absolutely loved staying at Wailua bay resort! The sound of the ocean and the view was outstanding!! You only have AC in the bedroom but if you keep windows open you will feel the trade winds and actually that's all you really need. The only con about unit 213 was that it was outdated and didn't have any special touches like the other units. You spend most of your time outside and the unit has everything you need. I would definitely stay here again!!

The location is beyond words! I loved waking up to the sounds and unbelievable views of the Pacific!! The room itself could use an extremely deep cleaning from floor to ceiling and from sliding doors to bedroom. I would absolutely stay here again with fingers crossed that it sparkles and brightly as it’s view!!

Worst vacation ever.
My reservation was mishandled and not available when I arrived at the property. I was placed in an alternate property that was unsatisfactory but since I was in Hawaii I was forced to stay there and try and make the best of it. I was credited part of my payment but I think my whole payment should be refunded. Such a disappointment!

Great view but need a little TLC
2nd stay in Unit 305. Overall pretty clean. There is shoes off policy in place to keep unit clean but bare feet get dirty on dirty old livingroom/bedroom carpets. Owner should replace So hit the 99c store 1st for flip flops to wear inside unit. Also pillows smelled of old skin oil/sweat. Took off pillow cases to re wash them and pillows still had the same stains as last time plus more. Ugh! If owner won't wash pillows at all, should replace pillows at least once a year. Should replace yearly regardless. It is Kauai after all...humid and sweaty. Also for sound sensitive people, bring ear plugs. Bedroom airconditioner is super loud but it works great. Other than these 3 issues the unit is old but good. All of the appliances work well. Plenty of dishes etc...love the washer and dryer. Staff on site are very friendly and helpful. CRH easy to work with via phone for door code. Both CRH and onsite staff were even ready for us a little ahead of the 3:00pm check in. Loved that. Unit 305 does have a great view of Wailua Bay from living room, kitchen and balcony. Loved the ocean sound. Complex is centrally located to swimable beaches, activities, restaurants and groceries. Complex property just went completely smoke free. Awesome. Complex pool is a nice feature. People staying in complex quiet...no rowdy party noise or kids etc...

Quiet and Comfortable, A Bit Dated
The location is great and very convenient to drug stores, grocery stores, restaurants, and other shopping. The rooms offer a very nice view of the Wailua Bay and everything is very quiet. The condo felt like it needed a good cleaning and some help with organization of closet space. There was no laundry detergent in the unit, but nearly everything else one would need to get started. As there is no front desk person for late check-in, we were required to call the property and receive our door code over the phone - parking passes were issued the next morning after check-in. It seemed as though the staff were anxious to have guests check-out as one person came around before 9am to say that we needed to hurry to the airport for our 12pm flight ... we did not (left at 9:45am, dropped off rental car, and were through security by 10:20pm). Overall, our stay was very nice and quiet. A few minor inconveniences but definitely a cost-effective choice for those not wishing to spend a lot for a fancy resort.

Really great views and right by the beach. The condo is older as is the decor. Easy after hours check in and only cleaned at checkout. You are responsible for cleaning and linens. It has all you need but don’t expect high end.

This condo had everything needed for an excellent week at the beach. All the cookware, beach towels, bedding, and extra snorkels and beach items. The property was very quiet and everything was very clean on the outside. Mark did an excellent job getting us checked in and pointed us in the right direction of the good places to visit. The inside was a bit dated, but it was not a concern with the wonderful view and most of our time was spent outside.

Beautiful view and pretty well maintained room. Unfortunately, the beach in the vicinity is full of driftwood debris and right by a busy road, so can't really use as an "on the beach" type location - you'd still need to drive somewhere in most instances. AC was in the bedroom only, but fans in bedroom and main room helped with the heat. The property manager on-site was nice and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay. Main detractors are that the beach at location disappointed, rental agency had quirky/difficult check-in procedures, a ridiculous resort fee (50% addition to advertised nightly rate) which hotels.com should do a better job at adding visibility to when comparison shopping (resort fees only show up after you're ready for checkout), and a terrible cancellation policy should plans change.

Room 305 was very good and clean. The view was amazing. The room had everything we needed including snorkel gear, ice chest, beach chairs and even boogie boards. The only complaint would be the water pressure in the shower was way low but thats to be expected on an island. Mark the property manager was very nice and kept the grounds very clean. They spray for bugs regularly and did so while we were there but was never inconvienced by the smell and we never saw any bugs and i am glad they are diligent in that respect. Self check in was a breeze. The property is quiet and peaceful, a little road noise but not bad. The bedrooms have a/c and worked great. There is no need for ac in the rest of the apartment, the tradewinds keep it very comfortable. We will definately be back!

Je recommande pour l'emplacement et la vue.
Très belle endroit que je recommande. Le complexe est vieux, mais très propre. Bien situé au centre de tout les points touristiques. Personne à l'accueil était très accueillante et disponible. Elle nous a suggérer de bons restaurants locaux. La vue est tout simplement splendide. Seul point négatif, Il y a seulement de l'air climatisée dans la chambre et non partout dans le condo.

As a first time and budget trip to Kauai, Wailua Bay is a perfect homebase ideally located between the north and south shores. Our unit could use some updating but overall it worked great and made a nice home for 8 days.

Sehr schöne Anlage, in den Zimmern ist wirklich alles vorhanden was das Herz begehrt.Toaster,Smoothiemaker,Mikrowelle,Geschirrspüler,Wäschetrockner... sogar ein Schirm für den Strand.Tolle Ferienwohnung, jetzt nicht 5 Sterne Mariott wie andere Option auf der Insel, aber gemütlich schön wie daheim mit sauberer ordentlicher Einrichtung zum deutlich günstigeren Preis und angenehmenes nicht durchgelegenen riesigen Bett.Ein sehr gepflegter Zustand, Danke an das Hausteam, toller gepflegter Garten. Well kept property and clean inside and out with great on beach location. Good east shore location for quick access to north and south sides of Island. Nice varity of beaches close by on coconut coast. Managment (Mark) was very accomodating, helpful and always busy which show in the great consition of grounds.

The was decorated very cute...anything you can imagine was available in the condo. Marvis was extremely nice and helpful. Loved the view and ocean sounds of the surf.

Some of the rooms are nice
Well the view was great like in the pictures but be ware if if rains a lot the view will be of a brown ocean from the river run off. But that part I can understand, what I didn't like is they put pictures of the nicest and most updated places on the site. What we actually got was more like living in the 80s. Not a big deal, the property manager people were nice. parking was sufficient and the location was great. close to a lot of restaurants. Just not happy with what we ended up with. We contacted vrbo and they ended up not being much help after all.

Close to water, great view.
View from the lanai is great and as close to the beach as you can get. Very clean and cozy, cool pool to hang at and restaurants to eat at across the street. 10:00 AM checkout, but upon our return from breakfast at 9:30AM someone was inside cleaning the unit and was very rude, telling us that we "have to leave right now" and that someone else was checking in that day.

Nice condo with a gorgeous view! Well appointed kitchen, nice bathroom, and super comfortable bed. TV remote didn’t work and someone came knocking on the door at 8:45am the day before we were supposed to check out, insisting that we were supposed to check out that day. It was a simple human error and excusable, but I don’t know why someone would come around to remind you that way... but overall, a small blip of a disruption. The place is absolutely as advertised and totally comfortable. Great central location on the island with a great breakfast spot right across the street.

On the beach
The condo was right on the beach. Condo was clean and had everything we could ever need. We were in unit 103. The view from the condo was more a side view of the beach and some old restaurant. If noise bothers you when you're sleeping take ear plugs. The bedroom windows face the main road and Kauai is full of wild chickens and roosters that don't care what time it is. They are very beautiful though. Ask for a high floor if you can climb stairs. We could really hear the person above us. Grounds and pool are beautiful and we'll kept.

Very nice, and everything in walking distance.
We truly enjoyed our time at WBV. Great view, comfortable bed, kitchen had everything we needed. Ice and cold water from the fridge door were an added treat. The air conditioner was a bit noisy but worked well and was much appreciated. There were 7 places to eat within 200'. Also a convenience store. There was a little highway noise but no big deal as the waves covered up the sound. TV had limited channels and the internet did not work well. The swimming pool was better than the pictures. I would stay there again.
