We sincerely apologize, but our apartments do not operate like hotels with a front desk; instead, they are more akin to an Airbnb setup. In such cases, it is essential to coordinate with your host before showing up at the gate at 2 am without prior notice. I understand you arrived to a locked gate and empty parking lot and was infuriated.We deeply regret missing your 2 am phone call for the last-minute booking. We understand that the inconvenience you faced during check-in may have led to your negative comments. Prior to this review, we have already coordinated your refund with Expedia, and we trust it should be reflected in your account shortly.It is regrettable that you felt compelled to leave us such a poor review in frustration.

Thank you for the review. Less than 10% of the apartments are fully air conditioned in Kingston. Casa Alexandria happen to be one of the few with AC in the living/dining room.

Casa Alexandria has been on this website since 2015. We are in city center Kingston Jamaica, NOT a resort or on the beach with golf course. Our long history of honesty and good service speaks volume. We are very affordable prices for what we offer our guests. Kingston have no beach (private or public), nor do we make claims to be close to one because that would be obviously NOT true. We are NOT on or near a golf course and we do NOT claim to be. We are NOT located in a ghetto nor do we make claims of being in a ghetto. Dave, thank you for the review. Thank you for giving us high marks for decor, location, privacy and management helpfulness. A less than perfect review is not a bad thing, it is a learning process for us, an opportunity for us to learn about our guests' needs. I personally called Dave to discuss his dissatisfaction in the area of the apartment being warm, the bed not meeting his expectations and out rates being high. In our conversation, Dave admittedly did not know that the 3 A/C in the two bedroom apartments are self-regulating. This is the reason the guest complained the A/C was not cold. Each A/C has a remote and the guest can regular the temperature. The two bedroom apartments are equipped with two 1800BTU Inverter A/C and a 22000BTU A/C unit in the living room. These three A/C could turn the apartment in the north-pole if they were turned down for too long. I think we failed to show this guest how to turn up and down the A/C. Being from Michigan I see the guest plight of this older gentleman about the heat in Kingston, but isn't that the beauty of traveling - the difference? Dave indicated he has a $3,000.00 mattress at home and he was expecting a similar quality for the rate of $100.00 a night. We provide comfortable mattresses. I like a firm mattress, my wife like a soft one, we have a difference in opinion about the one at home. We will keep an open mind about the firmness of our beds. We will make any necessary changes to keep our guests happy. However, we find that $100 for a loaded, well decorated, private, centrally located and well-managed apartment is a good deal. Thanks again for the high marks in those areas.
