I understand that the physical building is old, and yes, the aesthetics can get some modern updates. However, the hotel was more than enough for what we needed: a place for the night to rest. Hot water for the shower/bath is always appreciated, the breakfast is simple, but more than enough, the staff was friendly and more than willing to help (this by observing interactions with other guests). The restaurants in the area were amazing as well. You just need to know where to go.
