Such an epic experience being on the island. We loved the private swim deck - as well as the private deck off our bungalow. It was just amazing!

What a gem! A quick boat ride from Cartagena around 8:30am, set up with hotel before your arrival at least two days. For our Bay Side stay, upon arrival a welcome drink is presented and a whole explanation of the resort is provided by the owner Pierre who is very pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly. Rooms become available around 2/3pm, in the meanwhile you can swim and relax, have drinks in the bar and order lunch. They provide you with your own lounging dock spot that is yours for the duration of your stay. Servers come and find you to take your food orders and ask what time you want to eat. Meet at the time you provided at the dining tables in the sand along the water. There are plenty of activities you can book. We enjoyed the snorkeling tour which includes a stop at a sunken plane crash. The other tour we went on was the bioluminescence night tour. The room was well air conditioned and a comfortable bed. The small cabins are rustic but still very comfortable. It is a spectacular authentic island spirit retreat, close to nature in total paradise. It is a perfect stay for couples who desire a clam, peaceful setting of serenity. The wildlife we saw included geckos, iguanas, numerous birds, and the island is also home to 3 friendly dogs that roam around. The service was truly phenomenal and we highly recommend it. Hugo, Juan Jose, Evelyn are exceptional staff members whose names we remember. DO NOT MISS THIS STAY!!!

This was a beautiful property with amazing friendly staff. They accept credit cards, which would've been good to know ahead of time. For people with dietary restrictions, the menu is limited, but what we did eat was really good!

This hotel is wonderful, the staff is very friendly and nice, always checking on you and your needs. The food is great and they’re always on time with your order. My room was perfect! Confortable, clean and right on front of the ocean with a perfect view to watch the sunset. I had a fantastic stay!! Thank you Erika and Manuel :)

Unmissable
Loved our stay at Coralina from start to finish. Very clear communication from the beginning about transport to the island, and the process of taking the boat to the island and checking-in was seamless. The rooms were spotless, and very generously sized. The fans and AC kept the rooms at a comfortable level, but were also quiet enough to not affect our sleep. There seemed to be twice as many staff as guests, so whenever we needed anything, staff went out of their way to look after us. Particularly Erika, who was incredible. At the end of our stay when we were dropped off in Cartagena (and after Erika had finished work) she saw us struggling with taxis and spent an extra 10 minutes ensuring that we found a driver who wasn't going to overcharge us. The food and drink at the hotel was the same price as restaurants in the Old City in Cartagena, which is very reasonable considering the extra work involved in keeping a stock of fresh food on the island. There was also no charge for drinking water, which is unusual for Cartagena. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer - 3 days were good but we could have spent a week or more here. Highly recommended.

From the moment I stepped onto the island, Coralina Hotel transported me into a world of tranquility. The azure waters surrounding this haven coupled with the lush greenery create a serene ambience that instantly melts away stress. The staff's warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of charm to the experience especially Erika. Her dedication to ensuring every guest feels valued is truly commendable. This is one of nicest properties I’ve ever stayed in. It’s amazing with some of the best views of the carribean. The staff are top notch too. I would book this again without any hesitation. Electricity and transpiration can be a bit of a problem on the island and I would advise travelers to read that information carefully.

Excelente hotel en un entorno muy bonito
El hotel está situado en una isla donde te puedes bañar tranquilamente y hacer actividades acuáticas como kayak, snorkel y paddle surf en un entorno que se sale de lo común. Al estar rodeado de corales no tiene una playa propiamente dicha pero te puedes bañar perfectamente. Los platos del restaurante son excelentes (de las mejores carnes que hayamos probado) y el personal muy atento. Hemos pasado 3 días de relax en el hotel y es una muy buena opción para desconectar lejos de las masas de gente. El transporte organizado por ellos desde el hotel entre las murallas de Cartagena fue rápido y sin incidentes (hay que coger un barco rápido que tarda una hora en llegar al hotel). El barco no marea pero mejor tomad medicamentos para el mareo si no se está acostumbrado (nosotros no tuvimos problema).

Staying on Isla Marina (vs. the larger Rosario island, Isla Grande) was a fantastic choice for the Rosario part of the trip of our Cartagena honeymoon. Coralina Island hotel has everything you want for a romantic getaway - beautiful sunsets, magical nighttime string lights all over the grounds, and A/C in your private accommodations to keep you cool when you need a break from the Colombia sun/heat/humidity. Or of course you can just jump into the glistening water at any dock! We also went on a snorkeling excursion in the early afternoon; while much of the coral reef in the area has dried up, we did get to see some fish, and simply swimming in the open water under the glistening sun was a delight. Also, Kevin who essentially runs guest services is the best! We are very rusty on speaking/understanding Spanish, so having Kevin around to communicate with (in English) was super helpful, and he made sure we got the best view of the sunset show. :-) Oh and incredible birdwatching is around every corner, and we saw some lizards/iguanas scurrying about. There is so much nature at your fingertips in all of its glory!

Transportation: transportation there went very smoothly, but the boat ride back was very intense and a little scary- not sure it’s often like this, maybe it just happened to be a rough day at sea Food: it is an island, so getting fresh supplies is tough and it shows with the way most vegetables seemed previously frozen then boiled to a mush, and most sauces in dishes tasted from a can. Overcooking seafood was also an issue. They have a large menu and I believe their food would likely be a lot better and fresher if they made the menu smaller and focused on dishes they can do well with fresh ingredients. Wine selection is terrible (mostly frontera brand which goes in the US for $6 a bottle, offered for 4x this cost on the island). Cocktails were well made, though! Staff: staff was very friendly. you will have to wait a long time for a drink/request, though. Don’t expect anyone to come around and ask if you need anything either. Also, our dirty towels were taken away with room cleaning one day and not replaced, when we asked for towels we were told they had none for us so we had none after our shower to dry off. Overall the island is beautiful & relaxing. We loved the free snorkels & kayaks provided. Truly a great place to unwind. This place has so much potential to reach the next level if a little more attention to details, food, & clients were given.

Exceptional doesn't even describe it!!!! We stayed 3 nights and we truly could not say one negative thing if we tried. The hotel provided direct transportation for us from the airport to the island and we were so thankful for the easiness it provided. The second we got off the boat and arrived at the hotel, Pierre greeted us with a glass of wine and instantly offered us food. We stayed in the family room, which was beautiful and exactly what was described on the website (truthfully more beautiful in person). The beach is INCREDIBLE, I mean, it could not have been more perfect. Kevin and the other staff members were wonderful, and were able to help us with whatever we needed. At one point I lost my sunglasses and Pierre offered up his daughters sunglasses for our stay so I didn't have to go without (truly the sweetest). My husband also broke his and asked the staff for a pair of tape to hold them together. Instead the staff took them to their mechanic and he repaired them. I mean....that is service :) Food was wonderful and drinks exceptional. Never a bad meal the whole time. It is definitely a quieter environment, perfect for couples, people on their honeymoon, older families. They offer free paddle boards and kayaks to use, which we loved, as well as snorkeling masks. They do offer excursions,which I thought we would do since you really can't go anywhere else but the property, but seriously I have never been so content for 3 days in my life, so we passed. Amazing!

Property was stunning but guest should be aware youre on an island. Hot water is limited. A few things I wish were better-food, I was not impressed whatsoever and it’s the only option. Also, guest doing day trips to the hotel seemed to get better service than the guests staying in the actual facility. They make you arrive early (to buy their breakfast and lunch) and leave late the day of checkout (to again, spend money. Checkout 11 am boat doesn’t leave til 3. Checkin 3 pm, boat arrive at ten am!) Overall very relaxing stay but as a guest staying in one of the most expensive rooms, I thought I’d be treated as such.

We had a wonderful stay at Coralina. The sea is absolutely stunning! The property is well laid out and maintained. The bungalows are spacious and spread out to ensure privacy and quiet. They are simple but functional and comfortable. The property is right on the water with lots of decks and beaches for lounging -- so there are plenty of options. Beach chairs are comfortable and clean, lots of shade. SUP, kayak, canoes and snorkels are available for free. Snorkeling and other excursions are offered at a reasonable fee. An added benefit: there are no mosquitos, yeah!! The food was good enough but not excellent. Service was variable. Some of the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome; others still need to learn to smile! Be prepared to wait - things here happen on island time! Overall atmosphere is very laid back which suited us well enough although we were a bit annoyed that there was noisy maintenance work happening despite this being high season. Overall a great experience, good value for money, highly recommend!

We arrived, had to complain about where to sit while waiting for our room as all areas are 'designated' for someone by name plate. Then each staff gives you a different answer. You ask for lobster they say there are none, then minutes later another guest orders one and gets to have it. Then on one of snorkeling tours they dropped us off, left us, no life jackets, a man struggled and another tour company needed to save him. Then the people in my pictures We're sitting at our name plated designated area for our departure so we could free the room up for them to clean it for them and this girl would not let me sit down she went ballistic on the staff on me calling me names telling me I was a Karen I had never seen anybody behave this way she threw the huges to temper tantrum. Staff does not know how to handle the situation. The property is beautiful however they need to dial in how they Operate In all areas food transport Tours, Services and communication. I can not believe I was treated that way on my very expensive vacation. About $1000 for 3 days!! NOT WORTH IT.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. I felt taken cared of as soon as I got off the plane, to the hotel, and back to Cartagena. Beautiful hotel that is quiet and relaxing which was just what I needed. Did some great snorkeling right off the property and went canoeing. Makes me want to come back to Colombia again and again.

Where do I start with this review , first of all everyone here makes you feel like family . The moment you step onto the island you’re greeted by Eddie who is an amazing host . After a brief intro to the island you’re given a designated waiting area until your room is ready . The picturesque views are out of this world . Juan the bartender is a true professional and he makes amazing drinks . Manuel is the real vip ok this island tho . His personal touch to everything is what really made the difference for us . We rented the bungalow with the sea view and it was a unforgettable day experience, you wake up to the ocean outside your window . We opted to get the meal plan which included 2 lunches and a dinner for 2 people . The meal plan is absolutely worth it if you eat good and we definitely eat good . We also did the plankton diving experience and it was really cool. We will definitely be back very soon to coralina island . Relaxing at its finest here .

An excellent hotel with everything. Nobody should come here with the expectation of five stars, if you want five stars go to the resorts. A magnificent hotel, quality service, delicious food and excellent staff. The owner of the hotel, Mr. Pierre, takes care of you individually every day and gives the best service to ensure customer satisfaction. We had a dream vacation for 6 days with my wife, everything was above our expectations. It was wonderful to be away from the city life and to be alone with nature. Everyone working on the island is striving for your satisfaction. I definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.

An escape from the noisy old city. Tranquil and beautiful. It feels intimate sharing the night with a handful of others staying there. The staff was welcoming and accommodating to all our requests. Island life at its best.

This hotel is on a coral island and lush with vegetation. Lots of private space to enjoy. Prices of beer £2.50 per 33cl can, £7 for cocktails, £7 for a salad and £13 for fish of the day are reasonable given the island location. Snorkeling gear and kayak are freely available to use. Lots of trips can be organised through the hotel ( diving, snorkeling, island hopping, Oceanarium etc). Quality of the food and service was excellent. Snorkeling around the hotel was amazing with lots of new coral forming and lots of fish to see. Day trips from Cartagena to similar type resorts cost £65 and you only get 5 hours on the island whereas you can book astay at £120 per night. We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 3 and wish we had the flexibility to stay for a week! We loved it.

Island Paradise!
Our stay at Coralina Island Hotel was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The transfer to the island was organized and timely, and we were welcomed with glasses of rose and an overview of what to see and do on the island. Our room was such a relaxing, peaceful space and the private deck was perfect for getting right into the water. There are quite a few activities to do on and around the island; we went snorkeling, canoeing, and visited the oceanario where you can swim with dolphins! Plus plenty of swimming in the crystal blue waters and just relaxing with a drink in hand - they have a full bar with lots of tasty drinks, plus free coffee. All of our meals were excellent and we looked forward to trying as much as we could from the menu. The staff at the hotel are so incredibly warm and friendly, they helped make our stay great. If you are going to be visiting the Rosario Islands you must plan for a stay at Coralina Island Hotel - it will be unforgettable!

Gracias por esta experiencia tan espectacular. Mari y Felipe nos deleitaron con una increíble degustación de café. Pier, Ana, Juan, Edgardo, Hugo, Nickson, Rodrigo nos prestaron un servicio inigualable. Recomendamos este lugar de inicio a fin. Tuvimos la oportunidad de celebrar nuestros 4 años de casados en un lugar mágico. Graciaaas a todos los que con su increíble servicio ofrecen una estadía inolvidable.

Good with work could be great.
Great hotel - service and staff were great but overall overpriced compared to other properties we've stayed at around the world. With a little tightening it would be great but as is, it was certainly "ok" - not that we're complaining but for the money toilet in bathroom didn't work properly - no we didn't bring it to their attention - we were there for 4 nights and it should have been attended to. Staff - location and food made it a great stay in the end.

Paraíso na Terra
Minha estadia foi incrível! Preciso nem dizer que as águas do Caribe são perfeitas e muito quentinhas, o sossego da ilha, o barulho das ondas quebrando, cada por do sol e tirar o fôlego, por mim, passava o resto da minha vida nesse paraíso na Terra. O atendimento também é excelente (em especial agradecimento ao Ed, Jhuan e Paula Andreia). O quarto é muito confortável, cama deliciosa, não temos muitos insetos, o ar condicionado que não segura muito porque o telhado é de palha, mas a brisa do mar compensa esse detalhe. O banheiro é simples, mas bem limpo e organizado, temos que sempre lembrar que estamos em uma ilha e a água não estava exatamente quente. Há muita privacidade também, cada hospede tem seu lugar destinado para passar o dia na ilha o que evita aglomeração ou perturbação a paz do lugar. A comida é uma delícia, sempre fresca, no horário combinado (depois de alguns dias você pode acabar enjoando do tempero, mas isso aconteceria em qualquer lugar do mundo e não é um problema específico deles). Antes de reservar vi reclamações de problemas com a mesa, não observei esse problema, éramos livres para sentar onde quiséssemos. Precisamos deixar claro que lá é mais como um Ecolodge Chique do que um resort, apesar de termos as refeições inclusas. Qualquer dúvida podem falar comigo no @amilnaestrada. Apesar de um detalhe ou outro, não há nada que desabone a minha estadia. Recomendo. Retornarei. E espero que amem esse lugar tanto quanto eu amei!

Beautiful little island, great service but not worth the price. You pay luxury and get hostel quality rooms. The shower was terrible zero pressure and only cold water. Unfortunately I won’t recommend this hotel to family and friends.
