One day is not enough to discover the diversity of services offered by Hotel Irisa. My two stays at Hotel Irisa, 21 days in 2022 and 12 days in 2023, were enough for me to decide that this hotel is and remains an exception. The level of hospitality provided by the staff and, most of all, by the owner, is hard to find elsewhere. The hotel restaurant offers a breakfast buffet with over 30 fresh and delicious items, including home-made ones. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, with traditional Romanian dishes and selected wines. I can definitely recommend Hotel Irisa as a good choice!

In der Badewanne befindet sich eine veraltete Handbrause und ein Duschvorhang, der sich an den Körper schmiegt. Wenn man ihn vor die Wanne hängt, steht das Bad unter Wasser. Beim Frühstück gab es lauwarmes Rührei und lauwarmen, abgestandenen Kaffee. Die Rezeptionisten nahm meine Beschwerde mit Schulterzucken unfreundlich zur Kenntnis.

I was totally disappointed of this hotel .The receptionist ( a lady) wasn’t friendly,kind and with a nice behavior.She made me feel very,very bad . I think the manager of this hotel should have resolved this problem. The room was large but a bad smell ( some substance for kill the bugs maybe) when I entered in . The bed wasn’t comfortable at all and the bathroom didn’t have toilet paper and liquid soap,the second day . The restaurant had a cheap breakfast and the staff wasn’t friendly at all . I will not come back here and I don’t recommend to other tourists.

Reality - nowhere near what's advertised
Front desk had no record of my reservation, consistently projecting that rotten, non-customer-service, communist-era attitude. I had to pay for parking. Breakfast was a joke... cold, scrambled eggs that seemed days old. Sad, very uncomfortable room furnishings. This kind of property makes Hotels.com look bad, and makes me question my future business with them!

Good stop over
A decent clean hotel with friendly and efficient staff, not too far from the train station. The hotel advertises a hotel shuttle service but doesn't have one. The train from the airport is very good value. The area feels safe at night but is very quiet, more residential than touristic. Breakfast was filling with a good choice of fruits and plenty there.

Good location, needs some serious TLC
When we arrived, we were given minimal information and there wasn’t a lot more given to us in the room other than a guide to tv channels, laundry charges and mini bar prices. We had to go back to reception to find out when and where breakfast was. The shower curtain had patches of mould on it and we were covered in bites. I’m not sure if they were from the bed or not, but we didn’t have them before visiting and we’re covered after. When we came to check out, there was nobody on reception and we had to leave a note with our room key on the counter or we’d miss our flight. The location was good as it was near to the park and only a 30 minute walk to the city centre. Taxis were cheap too, only about £5 from the airport and £3 into the city centre so it wasn’t a problem.

Our 3rd stay at Irisa. As per before the older hotel was away from the busier downtown, but still in a good location for our family visit. This hotel had a good on-site restaurant with good food at reasonable price. The hotel staff and waiters were friendly and accommodating. Hotel room was large and well appointed with up-to-date TV, wifi, and comfortable bed.

Hotel Irisa - Bucuresti
We stayed 4 nights. Irisa has a wonderful on-site restaurant with reasonable prices. Waiters are very friendly and attentive. The rooms in the old hotel are spacious but have modern accessories, like wifi, electric door locks, elevator and LED TV. There is very limited parking available - like most areas in downtown Bucharest. Hotel & restaurant are good value for your money.

A good choice
Ok So this isn't the newest or flashiest of hotels. But the location is central and the standard is what you'd expect. Parking can be tricky but is manageable. The restaurant is busy with local people and the food is excellent. The staff are all very friendly and do a great job. The only disappointment for me was the show in my room. This was very low so you had to sit down to use it. It would also have been nice to have complimentary water in the room too. But otherwise a good stay

I had different expectations
I believe as 3 stars hotel it will be ok. As I travel around the world there are some expectations for 4 stars hotel From the reception to the restaurant, the services needs to be improved - people are coming from long trips and last expectations is to have a reception that is cold and very expedient . The bathroom gel ( the same one for washing face and hands ) had a smell that was hard to cope with it ; literary . I think Orbitz should advertise this hotel in a different way.

nice standart buisness hotel
pleasnt hotel ,rooms clean and comfortable,staff doing their job but it looks like they are still in the comonist period nobody smiles.....hotel located a bit far from center,40 min walk or by taxi.Taxi drivers don't know this hotel so better take a visit card.

Quite good for those money . Good breakfast , it was close to my destination so area didn't matter really , taxi to old town around 2 eur:-).... But be careful taking taxi back from old town ! There are only taxis 5 times more expensive ! Search only got taxi wit price 1,4 lej per km.

Just spent 3 days at this hotel and couldn't fault it. Great accommodation & Dining for Non-Smokers at Hotel Irisa, Bucharest. This is an ideal place to stay at when visting Bucharest. It is Close to all amenities shops, Trams & the metro underground which is cheap, clean, very efficient which and easy to use. only 2-5 mins walking depending on where you want to go. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has a nice and homely atmosphere, all staff are really nice and helpful at all times - just ask for whatever you need. The restaurant is very good and also reasonably priced to think we paid around 15 Euros for chateaubriand steak for one and the quality was very good, they must have a great chef cos he knows his stuff. One main thing which I need to mention is: The Hotel Irisa also boasts a separate "Non-Smoking" dining room and hotel rooms / suites which most hotels in Bucharest cannot offer - as most people do smoke here. The hotel also offers airport transfer service using there own new & luxurious Mercedes Vito mini bus which can take up to 6 people with luggage, cost of their transfer is very reasonable and also much saver and avoids being ripped off by the some of local taxis who still prey on many visitors who come to Bucharest. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and it is worthy of it's Four Star Rating. D.S. Liverpool: 11th Nov 2015.

Good for short business trip.
Good hotel for short business trip. Big room but furniture and equipment bit old. Area nice, close to park and city center. Minuses for breakfast, lack of free water in the room. Lack of iron in the hotel.

Hotel Irisa, my choice in Bucharest
This was my second stay at Irisa. I was there 9 years ago. I chose it for comfort and it's somewhat residential location not far from Kisileff Park. Hotel is air conditioned, important for comfort and quiet at night. The Front Desk is helpful and accommodating. The restaurant serves good food and has a pleasant outdoor garden for any meal or a glass of wine. I would go back to the Irisa on my next visit to Bucharest. The hotel is reasonably priced by European city standards - a bargain after Rome or London!
