The hotel was overbooked on our arrival and we didn’t have a room. They had to move us to another property away from the city center. The property was very nice but on the second day we were told they would need to move us to another property. Family of four with 19 bags we didn’t want to have to move again. We asked if we could just cancel the rest of the stay instead of keep moving every two days and they said of course. We would have stayed, even if it was away from everything because we didn’t want to keep moving an waiting in a lobby for check-in time. We were asked to check out early and we hurried to make that happen. Then we found out they charged us full price. After working with hotels.com we got refunded only 3 of the last 5 days and only on one of the rooms. I have tried for the week I was in town to fix this and get a receipt but the hotel and hotels.com just kept giving me the run around. 2 weeks a five visits, hotels.com multiple contacts I never got a receipt. We even came to terms with being charged for the days we weee told we would have been refunded but I cannot get reimbursement for work with the receipts. Stay elsewhere and do not do not book through hotels.com they will just delay you, wait for 3 days with no ability for action, then have explain everything again and again. Life lesson learned and it was an expensive one. They ruined our week and spent too much time trying to resolve it with zero resolution.
