Wonderful
Is the hound tooth inn really 3star? Unbelievable. The room was really cozy and nice to stay. - beautiful breakfast, avocado toast, yogurt - nice service, assistant - cheese snack service at night - clean room - clean resroom has powerful hot water Will definitely visit again when I consider to visit Yosemite.

안락합니다.
2층을 사용했습니다. 화장실 변기가 물이 않나왔는데 호텔에서 사용하지 않을때는 잠가둔다고 하네요. 가서 말하면 금방 해결해줍니다. 방이 넓습니다. 옛날가구들이 멋있습니다. 다만 샤워실에서 뜨거운물이 안나오네요. 차랑 커피는 언제든 이용할수있고 아침식사도 빵과 간단한 음식이지만 든든하게 먹을 수 있습니다. 7시부터 9시까지 아침이고 8시부터 1시간동안 따뜻한 음식이 제공됩니다. 그리고 이 지역물은 철성분이 많아서 수돗물을 마시면 안된다고 하네요. 호텔에서 정수기를 제공하지만 생수를 구매해서 가는게 좋습니다.

comfortable, quiet,clean, and friendly service, I would give this B&B 6 stars but the well water was undrinkable and the pressure so low the shower just dribbled. They offered bottled water but didn't mention at check-in their water problem.

Great stay at Hounds tooth inn. We were greeted upon check in with wine and snacks. The room was nice and clean. Everything was very organized. Amazing breakfast with lots of options. About 20 minutes from the entrance of Yosemite National Park.

Tooth Inn
The stay at the Tooth In was great overall great experience. Service was great food was great. The room was spotless when arrived. The only thing is that the hot tub that came with the room took hours to fill due to the pressure of the water being so low. Maybe some maintenance is needed to be done. Other then that I highly recommend staying here

An excellent and quiet place. Staffs are kind and friendly. Beddings and baths are maintained cleanly. A couple of destination chargers are provided for guests who come with EVs.

The property is very nice. I got the queen suite with a “jet” tub but unfortunately the tub did not have jets and the water pressure was so low that it took about 40 minutes to fill 1/3 of the way and by then the hot water ran out. We made the best of it and enjoyed it the best we could. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast served was okay which was served 7 to 9 am. It’s very peaceful there and although the tub was a bit of a disappointment we had a relaxing and peaceful weekend. The next time we want a quick and close to home getaway we will definitely revisit the Hounds Tooth Inn.

Good but not great
My boyfriend and I stayed at Houndstooth Inn while we were traveling to Yosemite. Overall, our experience was good, but I wouldn’t say it was great. The water pressure in our room was very low. So low that I didn’t even bother trying to wash my hair the 3 nights we stayed there. The breakfast was okay, but the eggs seemed like they were over the powder variety instead of fresh. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We appreciated the quaintness of Houndstooth Inn. They also have a variety of games that you can use during your stay. We would consider staying at Houndstooth Inn again but would probably explore other options first.

Staff were great. Did not like the bathroom setup, the bathroom was very small and stand alone vanity faced the bedroom area. The heater was very loud making sleep a challenge when it came on.

We stayed at this boutique inn for two noughts while visiting Yosemite. It’s a real gem. Very helpful staff. Our room was a good size, clean and well maintained. Wine and snacks are served each evening. Breakfast was good. Conveniently located for Yosemite. Full marks all round.

Really enjoyed this bed and breakfast spot near Yosemite. The best part was the breakfast buffet and the wine tastings in the early evening, both are tasty, plus the staff was super friendly. A few things that could be improved upon was the air conditioning unit, at night the room was either warm and stuffy or super cold from the AC, it was hard to find an acceptable balance. Also our TV didn’t work the first night and we later discovered it was because the TV cable is connected in one of the guest rooms and they had unplugged it unknowingly. It was kindof humorous but at the same time maybe a sign should be installed informing people perhaps? And my final complaint is the fact that we didn’t have a table in our room, I never really knew how much I enjoyed having a table in hotel rooms until I stayed here and was struggling to find areas to place my cups and plates that we brought up from the dining area. We were told by one of the staff members that the new owners planned on expanding the property and will build over 100 small cabins, so next time we come and visit, maybe things will have improved so much that we can give them five stars!

The picture of the room with our reservation link isn’t the room we received, but was still comfortable. The broken chair in the room should be replaced at this price point and there wasn’t a table in the room, so the only place to sit and read was on the bed. At this price point and for the size of the room, there should be a comfortable place place to sit and read with good lighting. Very friendly staff.

The property is located just out of town in your way to Yosemite. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. You are greeted with wine and a smile. The rooms are confortable and clean, the property has around 10 rooms only so it is very exclusive. We really liked our stay and the service is outstanding.

Disappointed to have to give a negative review, but would really like to avoid other guests booking and not getting what they paid for. Avoid room 2 and I would advise to check first if booked in another room. Paid a premium for king room with tub, could not fill it as the water temperature was so weak and water only mildly warm. So disappointed after 5 mile hike had wanted a bath. Additionally lights above the bed broken, my husband managed to fix one. Light hanging off it’s fixing in shower. Shower handle so loose could not turn off without getting sprayed with cold water. Carpet threadbare and horribly dirty. I informed reception/Latino lady / she just tried to brush me off until I showed her the photos. Such a shame as breakfast room was lovely, nice glass of wine complimentary in the evening. C’mon though, don’t sell luxury and a tub if that’s no longer on offer.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t LOVE about this property! The front desk team of Myra and Tammy were second to none, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Carlos’ breakfasts were simply incredible, the frittata was mind blowing! The room was very comfortable and clean. After 10 miles of hiking each day the jacuzzi tub was a welcomed way to wind down. Property was quiet and we slept great each night. The evening happy hour was so FUN! We met all sorts of folks and couldn’t have had a better time. Can’t wait to book another stay!

Nice stay close to Yosemite
We had a very nice stay there to visit Yosemite when we couldn't find a room inside the park. Cook to order breakfast was a pleasant surprise offered by very friendly staff.

Weird and disappointing
Our stay was strange and disappointing. The hotel lost power and water for 8 hours in the middle of winter. This meant there was no heater and no flush toilets. When we asked the front desk for an update, they just shrugged and said they’re “not too sure”. The manager later said this happens all the time. It seemed strange to not have a backup generator if this was a regular occurrence. They were constantly running out of dishes at the breakfast and wine hour. For a 12 room hotel, it would seem practical to invest in a set of 24 of everything - but every time we went to the front desk they were completely out of plates, mugs, water glasses and wine glasses. The ice machine was broken and the front desk acknowledged there was nothing they could do. It felt like an unaccommodating experience toward the guests and not worth the price.

The property was very beautiful, close to town. Nice and quiet, the room was spacious. We had reserved a room with a fireplace and a hottub inside, which was very well priced for such a luxurious room. There was morning breakfast, where they make you food to order, and in the evenings they had wine and snacks. We loved it so much we immediately extended our stay another night. Location was close to town but not walking distance. Approximately 30 miles to Yosemite NP, but since we went in the winter we had to go the longer route (approx 1hr30min).

Could have been great if we had hot water for hot
We went for the privacy and Hot tub, only problem was that the hot water wasn’t working right the evening we checked in, so we tried waiting for water to warm up but finally gave up.. water was back to normal the next morning but by that time we had no intentions of getting in.. We were told we would get a partial refund, but as of 3 days after, nothing yet.. overall nice place with good breakfast..

Overall a great stay, there was a welcome card and cookie in your room. We were also invited to have some wine in their dining area. Very welcoming. Staff was friendly. The room was very thoughtfully decorated. Only suggestions was a full length mirror in the room and a microwave would have been nice as well.

Great stay near Yosemite
The house has a jacuzzi indoor. Breakfast was great too. We love the stay.It is a better choice than Yosemite lodge.

The bed was comfortable, we were fine with that. However, we did not have hot water (on a rainy and snowy day) for 2 of the 3 days there. Mayra was very rude when questioned about it and didn’t seem to believe us whatsoever. I’ve never made a hotel complaint but needed to at this point. Mayra didn’t realize we could hear her talking to an Expedia representative (we were supposed to be on hold but weren’t ) when she told them we weren’t being truthful essentially…unbelievable ! Spending close to $800 for 3 nights should at least warrant hot water, wouldn’t you think???

Hi Karen,I am sorry to hear about your experience however you did not let the front desk know about your hot water not working until the day you were checking out. She informed you that she would speak with the manager and get back to you regarding a discount. A discount was applied of 200 to your total amount paid of 650.33 for your 3 day stay. We provided you with a hot breakfast, wine reception, and other amenities through out your stay and would have been happy to move you to another room had you notified us of the issues you experienced. On another note we do not tolerate profanity or harassment toward our staff which your husband directed towards Mayra. This is unacceptable behavior and also very un-necessary. We strive to keep our guests happy and there was no need for this. We hope you have a nice day and thank you for your response.

Great place exceeded expectations
Great place. When reading other reviews about lack of water pressure in the showers I knew about that ahead of time. With that being said and knowing that I give the place a 10 out of 10 for expectations. Breakfast was great. The atmosphere was excellent and friendly staff.
