The property is near to relations, so is convenient. It could do with a wider menu.

Previously really enjoyed staying here but they should sort out the plumbing. On previous visit the central heating sounded like it was full of lost souls and my last visit I I could hear a toilet cistern refilling loudly above me every 20 or so minutes, so sleep on either occasion was hard to come by. Shame really, good location, always clean and friendly staff.

The person you spoke to did sympathise that you had been poorly and ended up in hospital but assured you it wasn't from anything you had eaten here. Good parking, quiet area. Clean rooms. A bath but no bath taps only a shower fitting above bath. Thin duvet - lucky I was on my own as able to double the duvet over me.

I have stayed in this hotel before and liked it, however, this time around we were not happy with the mattress in the room we slept in, me and my wife. The mattress was worn out and every morning we had aches and pain in our body. We gave this feedback to the receptionist when we were checking out and he promised to report it. We like the hotel and environment, and plan to use it in the future.

The hotel although dated on the outside, is lovely inside with generous rooms and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good with great choices. The only negative thing is that the rooms were too warm for me and very stuffy, but that is probably personal to me

A tired and dated hotel. Room not cleaned properly - other guest's litter still on the bedroom floor. A balcony but no balcony furniture. No smoking signs but guests smoking on their balconies. £100 pre-authorisation credit card hold required from guests at check in.

Best hotel for the price in this area. Exterior does not do it justice although it backs on to golf course with nice views from most rooms. The staff are really efficient and friendly and it is super clean too. Food is high quality

Lots of parking Room was clean and tidy Quiet location apart from the water system, you could hear every time someone used a tap. Towel rail in bathroom i didn't think worked, until i found the isolator located under the shelf with the kettle on. Very strange place to put it. I never ate there so can't comment on the food.

Good value
Building looks unnerving on arrival, more akin to an institution or prison, but step inside and there are modern welcoming amenities. The deluxe room was large, spotless and well equipped. The communal bar & restaurant were too cold to use without an outdoor coat so we had to take our meal to our room. This wouldn’t have been possible in a smaller room necessarily. Staff attempted to resolve the heating issue but failed unfortunately. The evening meal was well cooked and good quality with generous portions. Breakfast service was good and the variety was as expected although I did miss a porridge option. Overall good value for money but I’ll take my thermals next time if it’s winter.

Great staff, food and clean. Golf course view and balcony. Outside does not do this hotel justice. It is really nice inside and the rooms. Good price and recommend it. Staff are awesome

Thought the decor was a little dated. Room was light and airey. Good view over the golf course. Couldn't have a bath as plug wouldn't seal. Would not stop me staying here again. Good value for money.

Clean hotel, lack of solutions to simple problems.
The mixed grill I ordered was overcooked, with very dry meats. The continental breakfast selection in the morning was poor. The room was clean and nice but very cold in the morning. The staff were pleasant but did not offer much help when these issues were brought to their attention other than agreeing that it was an issue.

A very disturbed night due to fire alarm going off at 4.45 in morning .a false alarm. This is the second time I have experienced this at this hotel. Maybe an overhaul is needed?!

Such helpful staff
Staff all can't do enough for you to make your stay comfortable. Even when I had a problem with the water supply in my room the guy on reception raced up to see me and gave me a key to the next door room to use the facilities there. Looking forward to my next stay.

From the outside the hotel looks quite grim and uninviting, but there is not much that can be done about that - it's the building. However, there is ample parking, the welcome was warm, the staff friendly, the room large, comfortable and with a lovely outlook over the golf course. We prepaid for our breakfast which included a normal buffet selection and a freshly cooked option which we couldn't fault. We did not eat an evening meal at the hotel but would have been happy to do so. We will definitely stay here again when we visit family in Grimsby.

Don't judge the book by the cover alone
I can't say that the external views of the hotel are the best but when you are in the hotel you are treated with friendly staff, good food and a comfortable room and you soon forget the 60s/70s architecture.

Odd to look at but comfortable rooms
Nice hotel not the prettiest to look at but nice inside rooms and general areas. Shower good and bed comfortable, although it does say king size bed but was actually two single matress’s which wasn’t a problem for me as I was alone. Breakfast was very nice and very good quality

Would stay again in a heart beat
Very short notice stay on a Saturday evening when the hotel had a large wedding party on. Chef stayed late to cook me a meal and staff were extremely helpful after I’d had a difficult day. The hotel is a little dated in decor but the reputation the hotel used to have as the best hotel in Grimsby is well deserved.
