Wonderful stay!
Had the most wonderful stay Daffodil weekend! Beautiful bright room. Breakfast was out of this world and a real treat! Fantastic location, right in town.

Don't even think about bringing your car on the ferry; just walk on. Inn was a short walk from the pier. Original ferry ride was cancelled due to weather and our hosts were very understanding. Excellent restaurant run by the proprietors -- scrumptious breakfasts. Very accommodating hosts. It is one of only a few in the world we look forward to visiting again.

Cozy, wonderful stay!
The Ships Inn was great - very comfortable, clean, and inviting. The rooms are spacious and the common areas are lovely. The restaurant wasn’t open during our (off-season) stay but there was a great breakfast spread each morning from their kitchen. Very centrally located but still quiet. Mary Lou and staff are wonderful. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay in a lovely inn ,perfect location!
Excellent location, building in good shape and the manager/hostess is wonderful. They will accommodate quickly and courteously. They do not have refrigerators in the rooms. Highly recommended!

Fun Nantucket escape.
Great place for a base to explore Nantucket. Breakfast very good and innkeeper very welcoming. Very enjoyable visit.

Great little B&B in a historic downtown building very close to the center of town in Nantucket. Rooms have been modernized with finishes but still retain most of their historic charm. Excellent restaurant located in the basement that serves a complimentary breakfast each morning to guests.

Awesome B&B near Town
We took the car ferry from Haynnis. Upon arrival we wound our way through the quaint cobbled streets to our Inn and with some help from the Inn Keeper we finally found a place to park. We called down to the restaurant and they fit us in even though we did not have a reservation. The meal was fantastic and the dessert, a butter scotch souffle was a dream. We spent the next few days checking out the historic town, riding our bikes to Madeket Beach and the Sankaty light house and visiting the Whaling Museum. We ate at the Boarding House, Rose and Crown Pub, and Venuno. Except for the pub the prices were very upscale. The Ships Inn head staff, Bob and Mary Lou were fantastic.

Lovely inn and innkeeper!
I made plans to spend time with 2 close friends months ago and was able to speak with Ms. Quayle directly even though it was off season. She was even more helpful once we arrived and had excellent recommendations for restaurants and tips on the island. Further, the inn is lovely, and immaculately clean. Having owned an antique house, I know how difficult it is to keep things fresh while maintaining the character. The inn is roughly a block or two from the shops & restaurants. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here! Thanks for a delightful stay.

Amazing B&B
I have never been to Nantucket, nor stayed at any other hotel in the area, but this was one of the best B&B experiences I have ever had. First off - during high season, prices can be outrageous, but this B&B was very reasonably priced and was equal for the amenities. The included breakfast was absolutely amazing. The owners were always around to help with anything. Our room was huge which is very rare for a B&B. One issue was that the bathroom was small, but that was minor and didn't affect our stay. The living room and decor was inviting and so nice. There is also a great bar in the basement along with a top-notch restaurant. The location is also right down the street from the middle of town and everything is within walking distance. In the future, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Great Hotel to please any quest.
We went with two other couples. From the moment we arrived the staff was extremely accommodating. All three couples agreed this hotel was the perfect choice. History, Charm, amazing staff. Mary Lou made sure every moment of every day we were happy. Couldn't thank her enough. Outstanding restaurant. Breakfast in the morning was home made and excellent. In town we would talk to other travelers on where we were staying, all heard how great the Ships Inn was. We confirmed their thoughts.

Great Place
We had a wonderful time at the Ship's Inn. There was plenty of room for the three of us and they went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Mary Lou was so helpful and solicitous. The Ship's Inn was very well located to the beautiful town of Nantucket and we enjoyed our time there very much.

Excellent choice!
We had an excellent experience with the Ships Inn - room was charming; staff was excellent and responsive; the restaurant could not have been better; and the location was within walking distance from almost everything! We quite enjoyed our time!

Wonderful B&B!
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is close to everything and you couldn't ask for a better location.

This was nowhere ne worth the price of $215 plus t
Bathroom door could not be latched shut check in was 2 pm when I arrived at 430 they were installing window. Was told by matron that the restaurant was closed and kitchen was under renovation ( breakfast was include in price ). Not even a cup of coffee.

Not Likely to Return . . .
The hotel has a charming appearance (especially the entry living room), but like most things on Nantucket, priced for the exceedingly affluent (meaning a very low value-to-price ratio). Bedroom was clean, comfortable and charming. Bathroom was cramped, dated, had no counter space and noticeable mildew. Windows are old and clunky to operate. Breakfasts are sweet and starchy - the only notable exception was the "baked scrambled eggs," which were simply warmed-over, dried out scrambled eggs in a casserole dish.

As we were arriving, three guests were leaving and they didn't hesitate to tell us what a wonderful place Ships Inn was. They praised everything, from the staff to the breakfast. We weren't disappointed! We stepped thru the front door into a bright and beautiful living room. Mary Lou, the manager, greeted us warmly. She couldn't have been more accommodating. We loved our room that overlooked the street. The beds were so comfortable! And the three guests told us not to miss the breakfast buffet -- they were so right! Everything was delicious. Ships Inn made our stay in Nantucket such a pleasant one. We would definitely go back!

Great location in the heart of town, cozy room, good amenities, restaurant on premeses, polite and helpful staff, excellent hot breakfast each morning. Only drawback - we were on the first floor so we could hear noise from the restaurant below us.

Wonderful charming place, wonderful charming hosts
Stayed for first time this past week. Mary Lou, manager, made it a wonderful experience for us from hello. We brought our expensive road bikes and she allowed us to keep them in our room. She greeted us several times a day by name and went out of her way to help us. When we decided to stay an extra night, we learned they were sold out...HOWEVER, Mary Lou found us a great room at Union Street Inn which is also nice. But Ships Inn feels roomier and with a wonderful restaurant in the basement. Will stay again. And again. And again.

The hotel has been renovated and the pics are out of date. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the whole place is charming. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful B&B 10 min walk from Straight Wharf
My husband and I chose this B&B for an overnight stay for our first trip to Nantucket simply by going on line. Excellent choice It is a short walk from Straight Wharf and away from the bustle of the Main Street area, which we found relaxing at the end of the day..We stayed over on a Tuesday night so unfortunately were not able to enjoy their dinner, which I'm sure is fabulous (the did not serve on Mon and Tues.) We would highly recommend the Ships Inn.

Just What I Hoped
My college age daughter and I had a pleasant stay here. I was able to add a roll-away bed to the room and was pleasantly surprised it was made up and ready to go. The room was as bright and cheery as I hoped it would be. The location worked out well as we traveled by ferry without a car. Easy to find. Should you visit the Whaling Museum be sure to check out the roof top/widow's walk and take in the great view of the harbor.

A gem on Nantucket Island
Don't hesitate to book a room at the Ships Inn. The location is great, the rooms are beautiful, and the service is very friendly. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Mary Lou was wonderful. I have allergies and she made an egg white omelet just for me. It was delicious. And she specifically bought soy milk for me. My sister also loved it and this was the best experience she has had with a bed Nd breakfast. Christine and Paula
