Bed bugs, Roaches, Filthy, Unclean, Waste of money
After checking in is where the horrible experience began. You can spell the stench of cigarettes and filth when you enter the room. It did not smell clean or pleasant at all. There wasn’t enough towels or wash cloths in the room. And they had stains and spots like they weren’t even cleaned well. My family got bit up by bed bugs in the first room. I have a video and pictures for proof. And when we told the staff, it was as if they already knew about it. And they did!! I also had to ask for another room and a discount. They did not offer it. And I’m still waiting for contact for my refund. Upon entering the second room. You can smell that it was a little cleaner but not by much. There was hair and mold in the bathroom. I don’t think anyone cleans these rooms. There were blood stains and black spots on the sheets. Oh don’t let me forget. Roaches everywhere!!! They said light breakfast. And indeed it was light. Coffee and a small pound cake. Lol. It’s really not funny. I felt like I paid to sleep in a shelter. I wanted a nice get away and instead it was stressful and uncomfortable. I wish I read the reviews before booking. Everyone said the same thing about this hotel. They should differently be shut down. I don’t know why hotels.com or any other app recommendations this hotel. It is unsafe to stay in. And I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!

We regret that your experience was not to your liking. The rooms you have mentioned where inspected and there wasn't anything found and our ORKIN team is very good at what they do. It is a complimentary breakfast mainly grabs and go for more we offer discounts with our local partners. after 3 days I am sure we did all, we could to accommodate you.

On the second night there I seen a roach crawling across the nightstand I thought wow how dirty but I can deal with it then later on that night I felt something crawling on my arm to look down and see a bed bug making his way towards the edge of the mattress where I killed it on top of that the room had a Cheesy smell there were ashes in the tub hair on the sink the toilet paper was half used and not replaced the brown skin guy in the morning is a creep stalked my side chick coming in on the camera then came speed walking down the hallway to see what room she went in and leaving he actually went out to the parking lot and see what car she got in vending machines are broken had to get my room key reactivated three times in 2 days

We apologize for any inconvenience that we may have caused. I will share this review with my staff. We do remember the incident we have a problem with unwanted guest and inform all of our guest that they check-in at the front desk so perceived stalking does not happen in our efforts to keep our guest safe and at ease (hence the broken vending machine). I am sure you were informed about negative traffic at the desk as a policy, we will note the room with our ORKIN tech and put all bed bug rooms out of service to the public until the next monthly inspection check. We are a one of the longer established building which has it's wear and tear. But our housekeeping staff do work hard to insure that rooms are clean. as I am sure that the next 2 days you were offered service. we would also endeavor that our linen is given back unsoiled if allow us the courtesy of being able to repay the fee to replace them. Thank You again for your 4 day stay with us!!

Roaches and Dirt
It was horrible! There were actual roaches in the room! The smell of marijuana, sex, and spray were in my room, on my clothing, and throughout the hotel. I requested a refund but was told I couldn’t get one. 4 hours from my destination and all I wanted to do was sleep but couldn’t due to being afraid of getting crawled on by the roaches. Room 102 had wires poking out from behind the bed lying on the box spring for support. The bathroom was disgusting with urine in the shower. The room smelled horrendous! That was Friday. Saturday we rented out 248 which was pretty much the same except the wires and smell. Roaches 6 of them in the bedroom and 1 in the bathroom, there were stains on the mirror in the bathroom, the toilet has not been scrubbed clean in a long time. The bald headed light skinned middle aged man gave me 1 room and it was filthy and the linens were all over the place, I came back down to the desk he gave me another room which the key did not work, then he switched the key I went back upstairs and that key did not work, I went back down and he took me upstairs with 3 rooms which he would check to see if they were cleaned and ready. We settled on my room and yes it did not smell like sex and blood however upon really coming into the room behind the bed was drugs, dirty tissues and children’s toys, and the toilet had poop stains all under the toilet seat, the shower rod was broken, and the head was not mantles correctly which made taking a shower horrible.

I CANT BELIEVE WE SAW ROACHES IN THE ROOM NOT ONLY A COUPLE BUT A FEW!! HALF THE LIGHTS DONT WORK AND THE HEATER MAKES IT 90 DEGREE HOT. DOG BARKING ALL NIGHT. We aplogize for the inconvience we have had the building treated by orkin in fact your stay was right before. Our ORKIN man is the man and does a great job in preventative and Maintenace care. You were in our pet section as we are pet friendly as long as the pet is people friendly. The section you were in is a well-maintained section albeit old as the building is a classic and the housekeeper there takes pride in the area. There is new management here and all of your concerns I assure you will be addressed. Again, we apologize for your inconvenience.

We had to change our room 3 times! Housekeeping didn’t touch 2 rooms and 1 room smelled horrible. When we finally got a semi-good room only 1 light worked. Never staying here again. The front desk staff were very helpful getting us replacement rooms.

Room was pretty dated. Hole in the ceiling the size of a softball that appeared to be from water damage. Carpets thoroughly stained throughout the room. Bed was clean, shower was hot with good pressure.

Two cockroaches in the room, hole in the back of the bathroom door, very little water pressure, hard to adjust hot/cold water in shower, dog in the lobby, back entry door could never be locked, so the building was not secure, cigarette smoke and weed smoke smell in back hall, trash bags in the hall outside rooms for two days. It was a place to sleep, but very questionable otherwise.

I apologize that your stay was not pleasant. We treat for bugs ORKIN. There are times when the whole building decides to shower at the same time having a negative effect on the water pressure. We walk the halls all the time I am surprised to hear that the back door did not open as our maintenance is pretty diligent as is our housekeepers. we also charge 250.00 for any kind of smoking but people will be who they are regardless of the rules we are 100% non-smoking building. I pick the trash up every morning as I walk through I wonder where I missed it for 2 days. I hope that the rest of your trip was more pleasant!

Super 8 Wyndham Oct. 2023 stay...
Actually, the receptionists (Bill from Candor), was wonderful, and the check-in and out process was smooth. The hotel is OK, however, we did find a roach in our room - killed it... Besides that, I rate the hotel overall on a scale from 1-10, 10 being best - I give Super 8 Wyndham Newburg/West Point. I would stay there again. Thank you Bill and Motel 8!

Very Disappointed!
We had two rooms reserved one room had not been cleaned at all so our brother was moved to a room far from ours when we wanted to be close. Our room was a deluxe king suite the bed was made but the room was dirty. The bathtub had hair and dirt in it, the mirror looked like someone spit on it, the floor was dirty, the microwave inside and out had food smeared on it, the dresser and coffee table had a sticker residue on them- like someone spilled soda or food. In addition we ran out of toilet paper (no extra rolls or even tissues in room, the room slept 3 but we were only given 2 towels and one washcloth and lastly I couldn’t use the safe because it didn’t work. We’ve stayed here in the past and it was always clean and well stocked it’s gone seriously downhill in the past two years. We were very disappointed and bso were other members of our family -we had 4 rooms in all. We will not be staying here again. I will say the front desk zwas friendly and tried to help .

We take bed bugs very seriously, that is not something you should have to deal. If you would have brought that to the front desk attention, we would have shut down the room and moved you to another room. We would have also washed you clothes as a safeguard as we have worked tirelessly to rid the building of unwanted guest. We have also not had any complaints come across the desk regarding any further incidents pertaining to bed bugs! We are apologetic for your inconvinience!
