Kathleen, thank you for staying with us.We do have a chair lift available for you to use if your knee was that bad. You could even load luggage onto it.We have a TV in our common area. Many B&B's do not have TV's in the guest rooms.Coffee is available via a Kuerig located in the downstairs hallway. Once we have freshed brewed coffee available, a sign is placed on the Kuerig that states fresh brewed coffee is available to see Steph. Yes, we do not allow any food or drink other than water on the second floor as past guests have dictated this policy. We have ample common areas on our first floor for food and drink.We do appreciate that you had a good experience and the 4 star rating.

Sarah, I'm sorry that you did not have a good experience during your stay.I'm not sure how the air quality could affect our rating. Over the past few days, we had warm temperatures and the earth was coming back to life after its long winter slumber. I'm not sure how your experience at the local Mexican restaurant could affect our rating. I will be speaking with the owner and show them your comments. The only issue on your comment concerning political views was a quip to your friend from Florida that they are now allowed to say "gay" here in NY. Prior to and during breakfast, you and your friend appeared to have engaged in your own private conversation. One of our guests was the mayor of a local community. We did discuss a number of issues facing small town communities as they deal with aging population, crumbling infrastructure, rising costs, the image and identity of each town, etc. If there were any other issues that was discussed that you felt uncomfortable, all you needed to do was say something at that time. We urge our guests to be outgoing in our intimate dining room setting.We do ask that you give Waterloo and The Gridley Inn another opportunity to put our best foot forward.
