Horrible establishment. Nobody was there to check us in until after an hour of waiting. Once we got checked in, I noticed hair in all the bed sheets and mouse poop everywhere. In addition the bathroom was filthy, mold everywhere and toilets were not clean at all. And to top everything off, after opening the room for me the office attendant gave me the wrong key, so when we got back to the room we couldn’t get in. We tried calling every number 20 times and sending text messages since they don’t have a voicemail. Long story short I ended up sleeping in the car and almost froze to death. I am still waiting for the owner to answer my calls as I’m trying to get a refund since I never got to stay in there.

Stayed 1 night. Booked 2 rooms. Both rooms were dusty, smelled weird, the pillows and bed sheets smelled even more weird. I felt itchy all night. Restrooms were not so good. Room TVs had no volume. Lights & WIFI were not working after 9pm which I thought was weird, as if they turned the power off or something. Mini fridges had trash from the last renters. Lady in the office and the cleaning lady were rude.

We really enjoyed the location, considering it was very close to the park. It was very quiet and made for a pleasant atmosphere and there was plenty of room for parking. We truly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely like to come back.

Hotel itself was filthy. There was condoms underneath the bed. There was spiderwebs behind the piano. The dishes were What there was of them, the carpet was filthy. The bathrooms were nasty They will shampoos and conditioners that they leave were half empty as if they left them from the previous guest. They had a regular size coffee pot with a miniature size coffee Kettle in it, this is not someplace. I recommend had we not paid in advance. We would not have stayed considering there at the bottom of the sequoias. You would think they would put the money into the house because the location is awesome and housekeeping, stole our iPad and tried to say they didn’t come into the room, which we know they did because we had clean towels in there.

The property was dirty. The carpets were stained. The housekeeping stole our iPad when we went up to the mountains. then when we asked management about it, they acted like we were lying

The River Inn is very run down!! Hot water took 5 minutes and was never actually hot, found someones business card in the bed when i pulled back the covers, ice machine hasnt worked in years from the look of it....list goes on. Sad to say but this place is a total dive!

Miserly.. booked in for two people for two nights, only saw the owner on check in to take payment. Tepid water temp, blanket covered half the bed, ONE takeaway cup with only, enough milk/sugar for one day only, no servicing of room, no instructions for tv (3 remotes). Not care. Also overcharged from original reservation quote. Sad property indeed

PLEASE DONT STAY HERE! We made a reservation on Expedia and when we got the keys for enter in the room and the room it’s very dirty and nasty! It’s don’t cleaned and this is a health situation, that’s not fair a business offer a room for rent and don’t do the minimum! The lady staff on office don’t want made the refund to us and think that’s the fair, feel like a trap! That’s a joke, DONT COME HERE!

I booked the rooms by mistake for January, instead of March on Expedia.com. Noticed the issue about 2 minutes after making the reservation. Called Expedia immediately. Waited two days for Expedia to tell me the special team could not reach the property. Called the property and they told me that only Expedia can do anything. It sounds like a scam if I cannot cancel a booking within 5 minutes when making a mistake. Lesson learned...

My room was gross. There was a sticky spill on the table that had not been cleaned up, and a previous guests socks were still in the bedroom.

When Check in, noticed the TV doesn't work. Even reported this to the office, no one come to fix it. On another hand, there is no drink water provided. Night is quiet.

Great old fashioned motel with few rooms. Cozy old style. We love it. Convenient, 2 minutes from maintenance to Sequoia National Park. Maria at front desk was very friendly. Don’t expect luxury but this place is a hidden gem.

Comfort and serenity
Jamshit at the frontdesk was wonderful. Gave us good advice to experience the Sequoia National Park. The room was clean and comfortable. The surroundings were serene. We slept to the sound of nearby creek.

Sink was not cleaned nor the floor vacuumed. Hair all over the sink. Tv had no sound so I advised the hotel employee and she graciously moved me to another room. Sink was better, but still not clean. Spots al over the faucet. But it was tolerable and was in a very quiet area. View of the mountains were beautiful. I highly recommend that you visit next door at the Totem cafe for food. The Italian vegetable soup was wonderful. I got it twice.

The most disgusting place ever!!! If it wasn’t so dark when I arrived would have left and checkin somewhere else. Dirty dinghy terrible,, I can’t even believe Expedia allows this hotel to be listed!!!

Location was convenient to the National Park and very beautiful. Still not worth the price for an old facility and poor hosting. Plenty of other hotels and Inns within a 10 minute drive

This modest property is an ideal location and is just minutes from the Sequoia National Park entrance and is walking distance to a bar/grill. One improvement needed is to repair the electrical outlet by the sink.

They said they overbooked and sent us to a different property!! It was just a mess. The front desk lady came pounding on our door around 9 pm scary for 2 women and said she needed my id and credit card she forgot to make copies!! I told her to come backbin the morning and dhe refused! I dodnt want to open that door. Didnt feel safe or comfortable!!!

Place was cheap and close to Sequoia National Park. The room was big and spacious, however, that was the end of the good. The place looked like it wasn’t cleaned in a month and was infested with spiders, had to be my own exterminator and take out a bunch of them and their eggs. The bed was very uncomfortable and hard, overall was hard to stay for the night and would not stay again.
