We have had some water damage in that room which has not been dealt with the day after you stayThe carpet up to the top floor is a challenging colour and even after vacumming looks like we have not cleaned it. We are hoping this year to get new corridor carpets as getting wornI will however speak with our housekeeping team on ensuring the light shades are straight and they ensure they increase how regular they vacuum the carpetsRobert thanks for your feedbackKind regards

Dear TeaganThank you for taking the time to post a review and I am glad you found the team very friendlyI am sorry to hear that you had a problem with stale coffee i will bring this up with our breakfast this is usually caused by making to much coffee to early and its like stewing teaThe housekeeping team where off on Christmas day but we have not been providing a daily housekeeping service since 2020 and we will review this in 2023I am sorry you felt the room was both tired and dirty. The hotel is very tired and when this happens in a 15th Century hotel it also feel dirty but our standards of cleaning are very strong.We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the futureKind regards

Dear PeterThank you for your feedback and sorry you felt disappointed with your room the top floor of the hotel including room 30 was one of the first set of rooms the hotel refurbished a number of years ago and with a very difficult 2.5 years of restriction imposed on us by the government our sector has really suffered to recover including a lack of team members which the hospitality, tourism and retail sector are all suffering with since brexitI thank you for your feedback and will take your comments on board with our teamWe do hope in the future you will visit us againKind regards
