A convenient location away from the town centre but within easy walking distance along the sea front. Lovely welcome from Julie and staff all very friendly. Used as a base for two days of concert in Bridlington Spa. Nice choice of breakfast options. Also convenient for visiting local attractions along the coast.

This was an excellent B&B with clean and comfortable rooms, a great breakfast, free parking, and local to all facilities. Top quality accommodation where you are made very welcome.

A wonderful place to stay
Amazingly spotless rooms packed with those little finishing touches make The Tennyson a perfect place to stay: a friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast.

We stayed for 2 night with a 4 year old and a baby, we had the family room which was an en suite double with a single bed in a separate room, which was perfect for us as the little corridor between the 2 rooms had a light that was on a sensor so it was handy when our 4 year old got up in the night. The rooms were very clean. The decor and furniture looked fresh and in good condition. Location is excellent, just 5 mins walk to the beach. The Tennyson owner Julie was very friendly and accommodating, nothing felt like too much trouble and even kindly lent us a phone charger. Breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs. The waitress Paula was lovely, she gave us some tips on parking for the south beach area. Paula was great with our children, including holding our baby so we could eat our breakfasts and brought our 4 year old a cushion for her chair. Paula went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our breakfasts. It can be stressful travelling with small children but the Tennyson made us all feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

If I could rate more, I surely would. This place the place you need to stay at if you are planning a trip to Bridlington. To start with communication ahead of the stay was great. Arriving at the property you are welcome with a warm drink and a warm welcome. The B&B is sparkling clean, and I'm obsess with clean interiors. Good size, very comfy mattress, nice smell of fresh linen, smart TV, drinks ( even squash sticks!) are provided in your room. I went there for business so I had multiple phones & laptops that needed to charge all at the same time and needed to be close by and the good news is there's plenty of plugs (traditional and USB) by the bed so I could comfortably work. Every little thing you need to feel just at home is there, I would recommend this place to anyone and If I'm back in this area, I will stay there again. Both Julie and her husband were great host and nice people to chat with.

An excellent Bridlington B/B
We were given a warm welcome and offered straight away one of their lovely cups of coffee. Our room was a good size, the bed very comfortable and everywhere spotlessly clean. They accommodated our request for an early breakfast as we had to leave first thing in the morning. We also had interesting conversations with them, both on arrival and over breakfast.

Thank you for your review. We have taken on board your comment 're the bed and we totally agree and this was on our to do list for January when we had no guests in as the radiator is on the wrong wall. As we have only recently taken over and not had time to do it. Hope you will visit us again.

Great location
Great location for the promenade and beach with sufficient car parking (on the road). Good quality breakfasts and plenty of it. Nice tea & coffee in the room with fresh milk. Bit noisy plumbing and squeaky floorboards but not a problem although the extract fan was too noisy. Otherwise the room was very pleasant except the bed was too hard for us. Very good value although the proprietors say it is not a hotel but a B&B hence they don't have a receptionist. Make sure you give them advance notice of when you intend to arrive - we didn't and got a severe ear bashing when we phoned later on to say we were held up. Totally unacceptable as we did not know they had been waiting for us! We regularly use Premier Inn where you can turn up whenever you like. My wife was quite upset about it. Regardless of that we have given a fair account of the other aspects.

Four poster room was lovely, and clean. Fridge was bonus with fresh milk for tea as opposed to those little cartons. Bathroom nice and spacious. My only complaint would be only one towel, for two of us. did mean to ask for more but forgot, and no more were added when they went in room next morning so they obviously didn't check, or clean room either, though it wasn't overly messy would have expected them to have at least wiped round bathroom and made beds as other places do. Also on our arrival place was in darkness, even though we'd told them our arrival time, which wasn't very welcoming. These are only minor complaints because overall we did enjoy our stay, and breakfast was great.

A Great British B&B
We are very frequent visitors to Bridlington, East Yorkshire since my parents moved there 10 years ago now. Due to ill health in the family we decided to book a B&B on this occasion. We booked a family room (two children 7yrs and 4yrs). The room was very well arranged with two separate rooms with a shared corridor and bathroom / shower room. This gave us some privacy and the kids loved their little room. The rooms were well stocked and the children made short work of the generous biscuit and hot chocolate provision! The rooms were clean and facilities good. Breakfast was generous and well made. Something for everybody (Husband is vegetarian). Our hosts were more than happy to accommodate any requests, were helpful and friendly. We found parking easy (street parking with a permit provided by the Tennyson) and this was on a busy bank holiday weekend. The B&B is very well positioned for Bridlington town centre and the North and South beaches.Thank you for a comfortable stay.

Room was lovely and clean, well presented with nice furnishings. Breakfast was tasty and set you up nicely for the day. Parking was easy due to parking pass and was able to park outside the hotel. Overall had a lovely short stay, would defiantly recommend and use again.

We chose this hotel following an earler review that stated this was a good place for a short stay. It was; the room, though a bit small, was comfortable and quiet, two minutes from the sea and ideally situated for the Yorkshire Wolds countryside. The quality of the breakfast was good.The local tourist office too was very helpful and that enhanced our brief stay

I have read the other reviews but I'd suggest things have moved on and have been improved because I can't mirror their views. We booked 2 rooms a Double and a Twin for our Son. ROOMS - Comfortable, Warm, Well Heated, Mini-Fridge BATHROOMS - En-suite with Power Shower (Double) or Bath/Mixer (Twin) FACILITIES - Coffee, Tea, Pint of milk in the fridge (well done!), No issues with supply - BOTH BREAKFAST - "diy" cereal, toast and juice (no issues). Full English 10/10. LOCATION - close to the centre, v.v.short walk to the beach, quiet location PARKING - No issues with finding a space on the street. Parking Permit provided by Owners to cover all days. PROPRIETORS - Helpful, courteous, good cooks! THINGS TO DO CLOSE BY - 1) Sewerby Park + House + Golf/Putting + ZOO (don't miss the Guinea Pigs & Penguins!! 2) Bempton Cliffs - Puffins, Gannets & Gullemots 3) Filey + Filey Brigg (Watch the tide timings for the Brigg) Stayed April 2012, travelled with family

Long Weekend
The hotel in Brid' was ideally located to the centre of town and v.close to the sea front. Hosts - v.good, no issues. Food - Breakfast was v.good. No need for a lunch!! Room - Good. Bathroom - Ensuite with Shower. V.good Critique - The duvet was small for a double bed!!
