I was so pleased when I entered Domus Dotti to meet Irene, the manager. She was highly communicative before my arrival and was excellent upon arrival. Although she has little English, we are in her country so we both worked to communicate effectively. She was so pleasant and attentive, excellent manager. You have to read website carefully. This is not a full service 24/7 hotel, it is more like a B&B, meaning Irene cannot be here all the time. Housekeeping the same. We had a wonderful stay, our room with large jetted tub was extremely comfortable and very quiet. They supply a small fridge, water and breakfast at nearby cafe. Just perfect. One thing we did not understand was the Lenovo tablet hooked up in bathroom. We loved Treviso, will come back and stay here. Thank you Irene.

This place is amazing. Well furnished, beautiful interiors.But that's it. In 4 days/nights we did not see anyone guests or staff -reacheable only by phone. Based on tyhe folder provided, we should have the choice betweenj a continental breakfast or a more italian one. We found out that it was replaced by a voucher thta we can used use at a nearby Pasticerria.. No room service on weekend and holiday.... For the room price, I would have expected a bit more of service.. But the buisling is amazing

Excellent hotel in historical building in the historical centre. The hotel is stunning and is a quick walk from bars, cafes and sights. Beautiful!

Why not stay in Luxury?
Such a cool and historic place to stay. I only wish we could have stayed a week! Located close to the old town. We found parking close as well. This is one cool place to spend the night!

It’s a beautiful palace extremely decorated but you rent a room as No breakfast from Monday to Friday is available. We had 3 packed snacks and 2 coffee capsules in the room. Traffic was horrendous and arrived after 1800 and were treated like school children arriving too late. First lady on the phone from Milan understood and became friendly but 2nd lady we met the next morning was one of the most unfriendly person I have met during my 40 years travel. Not apologising for the missing/very poor breakfast but worried about €2 tourist tax and the key we left in the room door

For us the customer is always right and we do our utmost to satisfy him with the utmost kindness from our staff; your review against our colleague Giulia, in addition to be conflicting with the general comments about her, highlights a malevolent state of yours and we can’t do anything in front of the personal negative aptitude of the customer. The weekday fare used, without breakfast, enables you to stay in our House at an extremely contained price and gave you the chance to take advantage of the dozens of coffee shops placed in our beautiful city where you can have breakfast as you prefer. The self-breakfast was your choice and our additional service. We offer a full breakfast “à la carte”, not a buffet breakfast, only in the weekend but at other fares that maybe are not for you. As far as the official tourist tax, if it’s true that you have been travelling for 40 years, you will know that it is compulsory in the most of cities of art or tourist cities in the world. Rooftop terrace would be loveier if there were cousions on the chairs or beach type towels to cover the worn furniture. Breakfast available if you consider 2 small fast food muffins breakfast there is no breakfast service during the week only on Saturday and Sunday Fitness center - pmwe could not find how to get to it and there wasn't anyone available to tell us as they come late and leave early. They say someone there until 7 pm but no one was there past 5 pm Daily housekeeping - we returned to our room after a day out and found that our room was not made up and there was no one around to at least give us clean towels so we had to use the towels we had put on the floor to dry up the water from the shower. We even had the note on the door saying please clean our room today. Plus they did not give us the breakfast either! This was not a hotel by any streatch of the imagination. I tried to explain my dissappointment to the receptionist the morning we checked out but she did not speak english. It is at best a pensione. There was no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor with heavy luggage. I would say it's only redeeming quality was the beauty of the entry - the staircase and all the wall treatments were beautiful. I would not ever go back to this hotel nor would I recommend it. I will however return to the city it was wonderful.

You state you will never set foot in our building; instead, I invite you with open arms to prove you that many remarks of yours are not exact, just contingent, and in part not real. If it won’t be like that, you will be our guest free of any charge. This reply of mine is your ticket. Reception. The person with whom you interacted doesn’t speak English (but she speaks fluently Italian, Spanish, French and also some Japanese), instead the other collaborators speak Italian, English, Russian, German and also Chinese. We are in Italy, not in the United States and a little bit of cooperation, good will and respect is however required. We are not a hotel, as you say, but a guest house. Unlike other accommodations, we guarantee from 08.00 am to 06.00 pm the presence of available staff (not until 07.00 pm as you indicated). When you made the reservation, it would have been enough to read in the website where it’s clearly explained: 1) We don’t have a private parking 2) We don’t have the elevator 3) We don’t have a spa but a small equipped gym 4) The personal check-in is made only until 06.00 pm This because an old 12th century house, in the heart of Treviso, cannot be subject to some interventations and changes. Our legislation protects our artistic heritage. What about yours? You paid for an accommodation without breakfast. The self breakfast in room has just been a courtesy of the house. This hotel is amazing. I can't believe how beautiful it is. The outside is nice but when you walk inside the building you are in awe. There was an employee to greet us, she was very kind and told us everything we needed to know. Our room was just as amazing as everything else. The decor makes you feel like you have been transported back in time. Everything was clean and spacious. You are able to walk to pretty much everything in Treviso. If I come back to the area I would certainly stay here again.

Som att bo i ett palats. Hade en jättestor takterrass utanför rummet. Vi hade tillgång till biljardrum och lounge med fantastisk inredning. Rummet hade luftkonditionering, kylskåp och tjock härlig frotté. Värden va väldigt artig och trevlig och serverade oss frukosten vid bordet.

Beautiful historical building in a wonderful town
The location is STUNNING. Absolutely breathtaking and historical and it makes you want to stay in and explore the actual venue. We had a slight hiccup on checkout where our payment hadn’t been processed through Expedia yet so they tried to charge us again but Expedia and the front desk sorted out so we were only delayed by 20 mins or so checking out. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

Ganska slitet och trött hotell med mögel lukt. Fick inte det rum vi bokade så det förstörde tyvärr hela upplevelsen. Hade vi inte uppmärksammat detta själva så hade inte ansvarig personal sagt något utan hon var ganska otrevlig och sa att duschen var trasig på detta rum. Vi fick ingen kompensation för att vi fick ett sämre rum vilket jag själv valde att inte strida för. Kommer aldrig att återvända till detta hotell.

Un salto nel passato
Un edificio storico sicuramente fuori dal comune. Arredato con gusto, in modo piacevole e ricercato. Siamo stati accolti ben prima dell' orario previsto con cortesia. Camera con salottino e bagno molto spazioso. Pulizia confort e silenzio. Ciliegina sulla torta la colazione che non avevamo prenotato ci è stata offerta. Cosa chiedere di più? Ci torneremo sicuramente. Da consigliare.

Ho prenotato tramite expedia presso l hotel Domus dotti e mi era arrivata la conferma della prenotazione. Il giorno dopo, all'ultimo minuto, mi arriva una e mail che l'hotel non poteva accettare la mia prenotazione e che il team di expedia mi proponeva una soluzione alternativa cioè locanda San Tommaso che dista dall' hotel solo 600m, praticamente un appartamento. All' inizio ero un Po scettica ma mi hanno trovato una bella sistemazione in poco tempo e molto gentili. Se ve la propongono andateci. Per telefono parlando con l operatore ho saputo che c'era stato un overbooking per Domus dotti ma l hotel aveva comunque accettato tutte le prenotazioni,mandandomi la disdetta all 'ultimo secondo. Per fortuna ha provveduto expedia a sistemare la situazione, senza costi extra.

the Domus Dotti Palace
The most important point to be made about this property is that it is always described by 'Expedia' as a 'hotel'. We were made very aware on arrival by a 'receptionist, Alice' who was on the point of leaving the property to go supermarket shopping as we alighted from the taxi, that it is NOT a 'hotel'. It is in fact 'ROOMS within a 'Palace'. There was no restaurant.. No room service.. and, of course we knew this before we arrived ! NO Alice, we did not. Why would we ? The 'serviced' breakfast was ok and we had the same each morning. The saving grace at this property is Federica. She helped us along the way and was most helpful, polite and courteous at all times she was available. Alice should be sent for retraining.

A gem for those in search of elegant surroundings.
Having been assured that we could drop our bags off early we had a rather hostile reception from the person manning the desk which made for a bad start. The house is beautifully furnished (antiques, frescos, original panelling and Murano glass) and the rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had whilst travelling. Guests need to understand that this is not a hotel but that you have a room in the house which is not staffed all the time. This can mean returning to the house with all the lights out which makes it feel unwelcoming (although this would be less evident in the summer months). The watering-can type shower head demands a shower-cap but none was provided so showering was less than comfortable trying to avoid an overall soaking. At these rates we were surprised to find wire coat-hangers in the room. Two vending machines let the place down. An honesty box system would have been much nicer considering the standard of the house. However, our hostess at breakfast couldn't have been more charming or helpful, as was the housekeeper. Both greeted us with a handshake and were friendly and polite. However the position is excellent and the overall ambience exceptional.

Lovely common areas but room was not very nice- good sized but grubby upholstery, no amenities ( only soap and shampoo provided), scratchy towels and last guests hair on floor of bath - yuck! Breakfast was nice-yet time consuming as it is prepared to order. Staff is not on property after 7 so if you have any needs or questions they will have to wait until morning... felt like staying in your uncle's flat but he hasn't been there in years!

It was the most amazing experience. Its a historic palace turned into a B&B. Its beyond stunning, minimal staff and so much history, we loved the entire experience. It was hard to leave.

A real Palace!
This is a jewel and a perfect place to stay if you're flying in or out of Marco Polo Venice Airport. It is about 30 minutes away so it is closer than if you were in Venice itself by time. The hotel is an old palace and looks and feels like royalty. The rooms are uniquely decorated and the whole place is just beautiful and in the middle of old town. Parking is a pain but worth it. You will drive past the entrance a couple of times as there is only a brass plaque on it. Once you go in you're transformed to the last century. Easy walk to bars, dinner, town square etc. If you love chain hotels that all rooms are exactly alike throughout the world this is not the place for you.

Stupendo palazzo.
Antico palazzo stupendo, posizione centrale comodissimo per visitare il centro. Non dispone di parcheggio e parcheggiare in zona è un vero rompicapo.

Beautiful and elegant hotel
Spent two nights at Domus Dotti V and loved it. The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished with antiques. There aren't many bedrooms and the staff keep a low profile, so you feel like you're staying in your own stately home. The staff were really friendly and easy going, but they cared about what they were doing. The hotel is in easy walking distance from the centre of Treviso, which is a lovely, sophisticated city.

Disappointed with hotel, the foyer and public areas beautiful but room very small, bed very hard and no room heating despite it falling to 9 degrees overnight. We checked out early to move to a more comfortable hotel. ☹️

Jewel of a hotel close to downtown
The hostess, Alice was wonderful. This B and B and its artwork, architecture and location makes it one of the most lovely B and B's I have stayed in Europe.
