Best of both worlds!
For a fraction of the cost to stay at the Del, we got what felt like a small apartment across the street and still hung out at the Del like we were wealthy guests. Loved it! Our go to place!

Perfect Coronado location across the street from main beach! Suite was clean, comfortable, and super cute! We didn’t want to leave after four days and were so disappointed the property was sold out when we tried to extend our stay another three days. We loved the bikes and rode them everywhere for two days. Villa Capri is a gem! We will be back.

Bathroom needed update. No cups ,Ice bucket. Shower area needs soap. Very old water faucet is hard to turn on.

Great place for a 1-2 night get away without breaking the bank. Old school no frills, quality linens, lots of hot water, free bikes. Practically on the waterfront.

Unfortunately this last motel in Coronado has been bought out by a corporation and is going to be torn down and rebuilt into something larger and surely more expensive. Hence they have stopped doing any real upkeep on the property. We have stayed here several times because it is literally across the street for the Del Coronado and the beach is right there.

We like:Close to the beach, shopping and dinning Don't like: there are no towel racks at all, only 3 clothes hangers, 1 set of shampoo & conditioner. It was not enough for 2 guests

Great little place. Nice room and amazing location, within walking distance of Coronado shops and dining. Very close to the beach. Loved using the bicycles available to us from the hotel to ride around the area.

The room is very dirty, bedsheet has the wrinkles from previous guest, socks on floor from previous guest. A locked door in the room has some central AC unit with a great noise next to bed, couldn’t sleep, thought I better sleep in the car. Very rude staff, office is always closed even when checking out, left the keys with the housekeeper. Paid $400 a night for a trash room/ hotel

Great location! Super close walk to the beach and many restaurants and things to do! I clean room with all that we needed! I just wish the front desk didn’t have such limited hours. I wish the fire pit in front could be on later. I would totally recommend this motel.

My accommodation was very comfortable and very clean and had all the necessary’s. Location is perfect for access to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. Not fancy but good value.

Location is everything -cross the road and you are on the most beautiful beach and walking among the most classic historical hotels! A short walk and you have all the restaurants and bars to choose from. Staff is very kind and helpful. Love the 50's style.

Don't stay here -- $59 motel for $159 price tag
I do not recommend anyone staying here except as a truly last resort. Definitely a motel, not a hotel. It's on par with what I'd expect of a $59/night motel, but it cost nearly $160/night. Was willing to pay that price, but was expecting at least that much value. The good: location. That's all I can think of. It was a short walk to the beach and is in a lovely area for restaurants, stores, etc. The bad: doors/windows did little to keep out sound so I heard the traffic of the nearby road all night as well as any conversations happening outside; lots of peeling or missing wallpaper; old/ugly carpet; old wall unit A/C had to be at 62 degrees just to get comfortable; shower head was at chin level, and I'm average height; there was no dresser for unpacking the suitcase; the chair had stains on it; and the pillows were so flimsy/thin that I needed 2 or 3 just to make it feel like a normal pillow.

Across the road from Coronado beach and Hotel Del. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. The faucet was difficult to control and will either give you no water or full blast.

This is a cute nostalgic property. The staff is great and helpful. There were bikes available to use. The down side: The walls are thin and sound travels easily between rooms especially from the upper to the lower. They need hand towel hangers in Bathroom and more counter space. Carpets need a shampoo and bathroom sink was clogged. The room needs a good deep clean and touch up.

The front desk is not 24/7 there are limited hours when you can check in and out. If you have questions don’t call the property no one answers. They should have a notice of no staff on their website and on Expedia. Overall it was a basic motel in a nice neighborhood…nothing fancy just a place to stay at night don’t expect anything more.

The office is open from 8 AM to 11 AM in the morning and from 4 PM to 8 PM in the evening for normal business. These hours are listed. The Innkeeper is available 24/7 in case of any emergencies, his number is listed on the office door as well. If you are calling the office outside of business hours, no staff are in the office to answer your call. Thank you for staying with us!
