My little girl loved the swimming pool. Was a perfect day out/night. Rooms were lovely and staff were very accommodating. Would definitely book again

Ok for the price, but breakfast was a bit basic (cheap sausage and bacon / limited choice). Room was clean and bed comfortable

The bathroom was flooded when we arrived, reported but no one came to fix. Next morning had a shower which water flooded floor and outside door as i guess drain is not good as disabled room. reported again was offered to speak manager or free coffee, but had to get in with the day so refused, other wise room nice few bashes items but clean.

Check in Palaver
Nice hotel with comfortable bed and spacious rooms. Two things which could be improved firstly there is a £5 per night parking charge which I can understand if you're in a City centre but there is nothing around this hotel it's on an industrial estate. Secondly the self check in is such an unnecessary process. It's not user friendly and takes ages after a long drive is something you could do without. However all the staff I spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, standard buffet similar to most chain hotels with adequate choice. Evening meal menu was also good with plenty of choice at reasonable prices. I would stay again but please sort the check in process.

If you book directly then most our rates include parking and access to our leisure facilities. Again, I am very sorry to hear you do not like the style of our check in. This is a system we have been using for a number of years and allows us to gather all data and any payments successfully. I understand it is not everyones idea of a good system. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Village Hotel. There was plenty of parking which was free after 5pm Friday for the weekend. The check in staff were very friendly and helpful and offered us complimentary mince pies and mulled wine! Our room was large and comfortable with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was also quite large and modern. Breakfast was tasty with a good amount of choice. We would definitely use this hotel if we are in the area again.

I came to one of your Christmas functions. The set menu was Turkey which I don’t like, we requested a change, the meal that was offered was chicken, it all was delicious.thank you.. The room was fine, just was disappointed that no shower cap.

Enjoyable stay with a few niggles
Good amount of parking which was free over the weekend. Bed was comfortable, no flat pillows. Unfortunately, the shower seal was broken and water was all over the bathroom floor everytime we had a shower. Room appeared a little dated - broken lamp, chips on doors etc. Good sized pool with sauna and steam room, which we paid a little extra for but was worth it! Breakfast was very average, but Starbucks was also available on site.

Spacious comfortable room. Reasonably good breakfast and good gym facilities but both at extra cost. Handy having a Starbucks onsite too. Attentive hosts in meeting areas too. Easy to get to from motorways etc but not particularly city centre.

Good hotel with minor frustrations
A good standard hotel in a convenient location but attention to detail something lacks. To my eternal frustration, if you don't have a club room you pay for parking and the gym. So this I class as a gym with a hotel not a hotel with a gym. Reception staff really nice, I do fall out with self check in. I don't mind the option of it being there but to check in as the receptionist stands there to guide you is strange. Food and beverage staff - evening they are all amazing especially the supervisor/manager guy. Morning is different with staff talking to each loudly (and sometimes over customers!) and about things like shifts and lunch bookings etc. This mornings conversation was around a whatsapp group. I don't mind staff talking to each other but sometimes focusing on customers would be nice. Bedroom was good, bed good, chair was very uncomfortable. Also on the 1st floor I think the view is the roof of the gym and air conditioning? View is awful and covered with tab ends, with a little bit of paint and the odd fake plant it could be improved. The air conditioning noise was dreadful and was heard loudly throughout the day and night. Maid didn't replace toilet rolls or clean cups which was a bit weird.

Room wasn't hoovered. Standard of painting (cutting in) is poor. Bathroom wasnt 100% clean. Have to pay an extra £5 per person for swimming (family of 4) Room looks modern, but its worn and tatty.
