This is a really lovely gem of a hotel located in a beautiful square in the heart of the Hague. The only reason I would not give 5 stars for staff and service is because there is hardly ever anyone at the front desk and the stairs are very steep. I would not recommend the hotel if one is not in tip top shape to lug bags up the steepest staircase (I know this is a common enough experience in the Netherlands, but this particular set of stairs struck us as really challenging. The hotel restaurant is incredible, the food is delicious and the staff very professional. A wonderful hotel and beautiful property.

This was an amazing little hotel. The emerald room is spacious and beautiful. The high ceilings feel very luxurious. The bathroom is also very nice and the owner is friendly and nice. We had dinner at the tapas restaurant right below and the food was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay here.

Sono stato per lavoro ed ho passato 2 notti in questo piacevole hotel. Ho avuto la stanza al secondo piano con affaccio sulla piazza sottostante. Davvero piacevole, zona tranquilla. Stanza pulita e confortevole. Proprietaria disponibile, simpatica e cordiale.

Outstanding!
We were thrilled with the beautiful room we stayed in. The welcome by the owner was warm and she provided clear directions. The bar was excellent and staff were very helpful every step of the way.

Superb Hotel.
The hotel is in an excellent location and very well appointed and designed. High quality furnishing and bathroom fittings made for a pleasurable couple of days. The food in the Bistro on the ground floor is to a high standard and highly recommended for breakfast. As with all older dutch properties, if you are not good with stairs this might not suit you. Overall it is a great place in a great place!

Such beautiful up to date rooms with sustainable elements. There was real attention to detail in the way we were hosted, including knowing that guests would have takeaways during this time so leaving dining equipment in the room. I cannot remember the ladies name but she was so lovely and offered us lots of help and local recommendations and was available on what's app if we needed anything. It also overlooked a super cute little square. Definitely recommend this place (:

Very poor customer service
Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I had elected to pay at the hotel. On arriving home I found that the hotel had charged me twice for my stay. I received no response from the hotel to my emails pointing out their error and only when I got hotels.com involved was a refund forthcoming. No contact from the hotel. No apology. NOT impressed. Needless to say I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Dear Liz, We are disappointed to read this review. All was excellent during check out. Clearly an error on the payment system happend. We immediantly refunded the 2nd charge and replied to your email with explanation and apologies but your email adres bounced back. We tried to call you but you declined to take the call. You called hotels.com, why not us directly? You made it clear to hotels.com you wanted to be compensated financially. Him and me, both agreed this was out of proportion. Some people just feel the need to go online and write an appalling review, which could have a major impact on our small family boutique hotel. We are sorry you couldn't find 1 positive about your 4 night stay. We hope you will keep traveling with fun in future.

The room was decorated in every detail, the owner was extremely kind and helpful, the service was excellent, the breakfast marvellous - and the view from the table at the window, overlooking Paulowna place, was calming and interesting at the same time! Great little hotel on a traditional European square (circle, actually). I would not order with breakfast unless you are vegan. We stayed in the Chocolate Suite. Spacious and very, very clean. Great helpful staff. No lift, but the staff gets all your bags to your rooms and the stairs add to the adventure. Located close to the 1 Tram which can get you all over. We loved our time in Den Haag and this hotel was a main reason why.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay First time in The Hague. Such a cool city. Hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet area but a short Walking distance from the ‘nightlife’.

Beste hotel van Den Haag als je wat anders wil
De mensen zijn heel vriendelijk. De kamers zijn allemaal anders. Anders ingericht en de eigenaressen heeft het met heel veel liefde gedaan. De douche producten zijn van REN! Intens geweldig. Prachtig pand, zalig ontbijt, echt een aanrader.
