I and my wife stayed at Peerless Inn for 04 nights from 20-24 January 2020. We chose this hotel for its location and being a 4* we were expecting basic minimum standards. Our nightmare started from the time we checked in. Since, we had booked online and prepaid for the entire duration of our stay, we were compelled to endure the nightmare.
We were first allotted a room on 03rd floor, overlooking a hollowed out dilapidated building so it was not possible to even open the windows. On complaining, next day we were allotted a room on the 08th floor overlooking a street infested with Hawkers and the Hawkers were so loud that it is impossible to rest during day time. Nights were worse, every morning we got up with severe backache since, the beds had ‘bonnell spring’ mattresses. And being used to ‘natural foam’ mattresses, we just could not sleep.
Apparently, for environmental reasons, drinking water in the rooms was provided in glass bottles that were supposedly refilled with purified water. However, from Day 2, I started having stomach cramps and an upset tummy. After Day 3, we realized that the water being supplied was from dysfunctional UV water filters and was being handled in a very unhygienic manner. We immediately, switched over to bottled water and thankfully started recovering.
The F&B arrangements were no better. Fresh juices were being mixed with water and every morning we had to ask for freshly squeezed juices without dilution. At breakfast, uncleared tables/plates were
