The hotel went above and beyond, they reacted to a tough situation with grace and charm. The fire in an attached building was put out in a timely fashion!

Perfect for a stopover
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfy, if a little dated. Food was excellent. One downside, the extractor fan for the kitchen was across from our room window, so if you wanted a long lie past 8am...forget it. But it DID smell good.

Room above a bar that doesn’t shut until 2am. Got up and drive home at 5am it was that bad

Highly recommended.
Excellent budget accommodation. Very comfortable beds. Superb breakfast. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with walking/stairs issues though but anyone else looking for a budget stay with a great breakfast I would highly recommend.

Excellent value
This hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are very nice, some reviews complain about the décor and the noise this is an older property in the centre of Annan. This is reflected in the excellent value for money. Free parking , Breakfast ,good WiFi and nice people. Its not 5* but I did not pay 5* prices. I would stay here again.

It was noisy (not just the bar downstairs, you literally heard every movement in the hotel), very basic (not even soap), lager from bar was sour. Very disappointed as not the cheapest in the area.

The property is really well located in the town centre. It is ideally suited for anyone attending the annual Riding of the Marches in July. It would be useful to have a small bottle of shampoo available, there were only 2 small bottles of shower gel. Dining nearby is a bit limited, they are currently recruiting for an evening chef so there are no evening meals available. There are only a couple of take-aways open in the evening on the High Street. There is a lovely park down by the river only about 5 minutes walk away. The bus station and train station is about 5 minutes away too with easy access to Dumfries and Carlisle where you can change trains across the national network.

Delicious food
Check was ok. The toilet in my room hadn’t been cleaned, the bowel was all stained. It was supposed to be a double room, but it was only a three quarter bed. Other than that the room was clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were good. Fan provided which was a godsend as it was hot. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent, thoroughly recommend the Scottish breakfast.

Great staff, but noisy
Christine at check in, and the lady at check out were both great. Room was adequate enough for an overnight stay. Bed comfortable, room and bathroom clean. However, don’t expect to be asleep any time before midnight. Unsure if it was noisy guest/thin walls or patrons of the bar below but expect a lot of shouting and noise, especially if you are given a room on the first floor.

Ruined sleep
Kept awake because of the sports bar downstairs playing music till 1am, otherwise this place would have got a higher rating

OK for an overnight stay
We stayed for one night in a twin bedded room and it was quite clean and comfortable. The bed was soft but comfortable, tv was tiny an remote didnt match tv so only worked partially. A little noisy outside being Saturday night as there is bar attached. Ensuite shower was ok but not much water pressure. Staff were very pleasant and accomodating . We didnt eat here so cannot comment on food. Car park to the rear is relatively small but there is another free car park opposite and free roadside parking nearby.

Robs great Annan Adventure to the Corner Hotel
Hotel is over priced. Took a step back into the 1970s when entering the hotel, the room was also dated. Bed was comfy and the shower was excellent. Plenty clean towels. Great parking. The hotel was clean throughout. The restaurant had a 45 minute wait for service, which was explained to me by the only member of staff. I didn't stop to experience the restaurant along with the rickety tables and chairs, which looked like they had be salvaged from the local tip. Staff were friendly and honest. The hotel has no atmosphere, unlike the pub underneath which shared its music all night. To sum up, over priced yet comfortable. I cannot recommend this place and will not stay again.

Well we was met with a very warm welcome everything that was needed was explained room was clean spacious nice comfortable bed... and breakfast 😋 and the lady welcoming us this time again absolutely lovely..it is worth coming just for the friendly welcome you receive ... will use again on our way up or back down again
