Kat, the woman at the desk was very nice. The heat wasn't on in the room (in January!) so I was given a space heater to use in addition to the room heater. It took hours for the room to get warm. The parking lot in front of the motel is a big mud pit, no pavement, due to an auto parts store being built across from the motel. I only needed to stay for two nights & I don't think I would have stayed longer.

Our room was very clean and smells wonderful. However the entrance was a bit confuse it was dark, there were fenced around it was hard to see where to go in but over all the check in and room was very good. Thank you

First of all-if you arent in a truck dont book this hotel. You have to drive through a construction zone to get to it, and it is not a smooth path. Second, there is ZERO sound insulation. The outside noise is like people are right beside you. That being said, even other rooms, Im pretty sure I heard my neighbor pee. The beds sucked. One matress was like an pool float that had never had air put in it. The other was a better matress, but felt like it was on the side of a mountain, and sounded like a rusty bicycle chain when you would shift your weight on it. And last..but certainly not least..When they say theyll leave the light on for ya..they mean it. It was like Milan Puskar stadium in our room. ONly thing is..our lights were OFF and the "curtains" CLOSED. WHY DO YOU HAVE SUCH BRIGHT LIGHTS RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW???

The price for a WVU football weekend is reasonable compared to other hotels. However, is it worth 160. No. When people start coming late night from the bars , you can hear all the noise because outside motel vs indoor hallways. But we knew that and expected that from prior reviews. We were just looking for convenience and reasonable rate for homecoming festivities and motel 6 met that. Room was very large and looked as though has been remolded over prior years in some facets. Would stay again becuase of the price compared to others for football weekends. And it is convenient. Could walk to Coliseum and football stadium 7 minute drive without traffic. Downtown night life 10 minutes away without traffic.

The property is extremely overpriced but we had no choice. Regret from the beginning. Parking lot small, dirty and under construction. Walked into room and just a pungent smell Was hanging there. Refrigerator missing half seal which explained the four inches of ice in the freezer area. Door had locks but no seal. When locked, you can see the outside light illuminate the space around the door. Good thing this is a short, turn and burn.

Did the job
The overall room was clean, however the toilet seat was peeling in the back and looked less than clean. Only one of the standing lights worked. The bedspread has burn holes in and although non-smoking the room has a distinct odor associated with previous smokers. I did NOT notify the front desk or office as I was simply too tired so just went right to bed. They may have offered me another room or fixed the issues but did not know of them. My initial reception was most pleasant and although there was construction it was not difficult to get into either the office or the room. I was able to have a decent night's sleep and left early in the morning.

The motel was fine. The construction was annoying . The room wasn’t bad . Wouldn’t mind the motel at all for a more reasonable price. I assume since it was a game weekend that’s why the price was high.

Everything was great except for the parking lot conditions but just because they are working on the lot. Also one side of the room’s electricity was not working so I wasn’t able to turn on my light or charge my phone. Other than that everything was great!!

Property recently renovated. Very nice. Comfortable beds and very clean. Not associated with the property, but there’s a full blown construction project in front of the property making access a bit challenging. It’s a great place!

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and both times were very pleasant stays. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Amenities, such as toiletries, were basic but that's fine with us. The rooms are affordable and we bring what we need anyway. It's close to shopping, dining, events, and activities. Next time we need a room in the area, we will definitely book here again!
