When we arrived we’re told our room had a leak so was not available. Offered a much lower standard room so did not stay.

First time at this property, I will be back. The rooms are beautiful and well stocked with toiletries, coffee, teas and biscuits. The breakfast (full English for me) was superb. I ate lunch there on arrival, that also was extremely tasty.

This is heavenly for walkers and dogs. Superb food, attentive but not overbearing service and a superb selection of ales. Best of all, this is about to become my local as I’ve just relocated to the area!

Had a lovely couple of days at the White Lion, Hebden Bridge. Room was clean and had everything we needed, bed comfortable and both bath and shower were great. Breakfast was excellent, and staff were very attentive and helpful. Hotel is close to the centre of the town and all amenities. Will definitely stay at the White Lion again

Just had one night stay wish it was longer.Staff are amazing couldnt do enough for you.The room was really clean with a country feel to it.The bathroom was spotless.Food was also of very high standard.loved the experience

The best place to stay in Hebden.
We stay at the White Lion around 3 times per year. We enjoy the excellent service, lovely breakfast and central location. Free parking is a real bonus. All rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained. The hotel is steeped with history and wonderful surroundings. The White Lion is the best hotel in Hebden.

We absolutely LOVED the food! The standard of cooking and variety was like being in a Michelin starred restaurant. This is the second time we have been to the White Lion, this time I bought my mother and her partner for a birthday treat. They also said they absolutely loved it and would like to return soon. Cosy rooms, excellent facilities.

Great hotel but disappointed.
This is a really lovely hotel and pub. The staff and service was excellent, my room was comfy and nicely decorated. But all of this was ruined by their glass recycling contractor who decided to come and empty their glass bins at 03:45 on Monday morning. Totally ruined a good nights sleep. I raised this with the lady at checkout on Monday and she was horrified but advised that they have asked this contractor not to do this many times in the past. You need to deal with this as its unacceptable.

Fabulous hotel in the heart of the town, we arrived earlier than the stated check in time but our rooms were ready so we were able to check in straight away. We visited as two couples in our early to mid 40’s,both of us had the bigger rooms that came with a double/king & a smaller single bed, room size was great, the bathroom was of a good size too. Tea & coffee making facilities along with biscuits too were a nice touch. Everything we needed was in the room from an hairdryer to extra blankets! We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the food did look amazing, we shall remember to eat there when we next visit! Overall a very pleasant stay and there were plenty of bars close by to enjoy a very late evening out with friends. We’ll definitely be back, thank you 😊

I only have a couple of comments firstly if your a resident you should be you should be allocated a parking space and the bar should be open till 12 at least for residents

Great location in the centre of Hebden Bridge. Good food. The bar has a great selection of beers. Staff are friendly.

Highly recommend The White Lion
Had a lovely stay at The White Lion. The staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure that my stay was enjoyable. The food was delicious too.

Super convenient
Really convenient for a day’s visit to Hebden Bridge as it’s right in the town and walking distance to everything. Breakfast was generous (so beware!) and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The en-suite was lovely but there are a few damp-related issues going on in there!

Lovely old pub in the middle of pretty Hebden Bridge. The sloping bedroom floor was challenging, but entertaining. I chose this place to stay because it had parking, but there isn't much space so ended up having to pay to park overnight in a public car park.

Beautiful room excellent breakfast. Massive en suite. Only downside was the 'gong' outside the bedroom window, but thats not the hotel's fault!
