숙박은 추천하고 싶지 않습니다
역사와 전통을 자랑할 만한 호텔이라는 생각에 묵어봤어요. 해변도 너무 인상적이고요. Galle Face에 인접한 호텔은 여기밖에 없으니까요. 그런데 전반적으로 시설이 낙후되고, 음식이 너무 형편없어서, 콜롬보 시내 다른 호텔을 선택하고 싶네요. 호텔 분위기 때문에 점심이나 저녁에 해변에서 차와 식사를 하는 것이 낫겠어요. 숙박은 추천하고 싶지 않네요. 콜롬보 시내 호텔 3박 후 여기서 2박 했거든요.

서비스와 위치 등은 최고, 길가 룸은 다소 시끄러움
호텔의 전반적인 서비스와 시설 등에 대해서는 매우 만족스럽다. 무료이용 미니바도 매우 훌륭하다. 레스토랑도 조용하고 멋졌다. 그러나 큰 길가에 위치한 룸은 차량과 시위하는 사람들의 소음이 그대로 들려서 조금 시끄러웠다. 풀장위치와 전망도 매우 훌륭했으나 어린이용 풀장이 없어서 어린이에게는 다소 깊어서 위험할수 있다.

해변 바로 앞에 위치한 멋진 호텔
부티크 호텔이라고 자칭하나 전체적인 객실이 너무 오래되었다. 침구류도 딱히 편하지 않았으며, 콜롬보 시내 호텔 전체가 진행하는 일반 공항 택시비용을 추후 호텔결재를 해주지 않아 매우 불편하였던 기억이 있다 그러나 콜롬보 해변 바로 앞에 위치하여있어 상당히 좋은 경치를 감상하며 조식을 즐길수 있었던 것 같다

다시 방문하고 싶은 호텔
호텔의 역사를 느낄 수 있는 아주 훌륭한 호텔이라고 생각합니다. 비치된 침구 및 용품들도 이국적이라서 그리 나쁜 느낌은 아니였구요. 무엇보다 그 유명하다는 해안가 레스토랑이 호텔에서 바로 내려가서 이용할 수 있었고, 나름 운치도 짱이네요.

The hotel staff is unfriendly.
I tryied to booking pick up service. I send e-mail list 10times to hotel. I didn't get any pick up services in airport. So i have to Search them list half hours. after i arrive in the hotel they told me i didn't booking pick service. so I show to them my history of E-mail. Howevr they told me they did't get any E-mail from me. so this is not Hotel fault. They start to blame me. I never want to go back this hotel.

우선 직원들의 서비스 마인드가 세계적 체인 호텔에 비해 뒤떨어진다는 생각을 했음. 화장실 물기 제거 및 정돈 등 청결 상태에 좀 더 신경을 쓰면 좋겠음.

Great service attitute. Great ocean view.
All the staffs in the hotel was very kind. Clean and entic room, great ocean view. Breakfast restaurant is located in front of beach, so that I fully enjoy the breakfast time with warm wind and sun shine. Only one thing bothered me is wooden floor. That make little noise.

This stay was a step back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities. The staff is amazing and helpful with our greatest experience with concierge help, Emmanuel. The breakfast buffet did not disappoint. The on site bars and restaurants were top notch. Don’t miss the historical photographs in the bar. Amazing experience and we look forward to returning soon.

The rooms and hotels are great. Staff is very nice & the pool area is beautiful. I stood twice at 2 different rooms & it’s pretty neat and clean. The only flaw I encountered which was very disappointing is the stained bed sheets in junior sweet. Buy new sheets for crying out loud! It wasn’t even a standard room but a suite!

Nice old colonial style hotel on the beach but charmless staff at reception spoilt the visit - we said good evening mr and mrs ourname checking in the best they could come up with was “passports” and it did not get better. Communication with the hotel prior to arrival was very poor. Lots of work on this needed.

The hotel is lovely and very traditional. The staff are very attentive and always welcoming. The pool area however requires upgrading as the flooring is broken in several places and is a safety hazard.

Our second stay at the Galle Face - once you have stayed there you won’t want to stay anywhere else in Colombo. The hotel is set right on the beach front with a fabulous 30 m sea salt pool A qualified lifeguard is always on duty- a big thank you to Aja for welcoming us back to the pool and sunloungers -a top spot! Happy Hour cocktails on the hotel green to watch the sun go down while the flag is lowered and the bagpipes play - perfect start to the evening. Dine then on the open terrace with a fantastic choice of Sri Lankan and international cuisine. Several bars on site to choose from after this Highly recommend this hotel

Galle Face Hotel does live up to its rich heritage and the main thing is the service received from everyone from the concierge team, to the room cleaners, the team in the restaurant that aim to please and even from the man in the uniform employed to scare the birds away with an unloaded slingshot! Yes, the hotel is showing it's age but the rooms are generous and comfortable and the history...amazing! My suggestion is to get someone to show you how to work out the old fashioned key in the lock as it is very annoying and the keyhole is too low to start with!

It is a beatiful place with the flavour of old authentic feeling but with all the modern conveniences. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast time is a bit hectic but there is plnty of areas to R&R. I always wanted to stay in GF and I fulfiled my dream.

Sink didn't drain properly in the sink. Room looked tired. Wires hanging out behind the wardrobe. Wardrobe not against the wall properly. Some areas of hotel (inside) had no aircon and became hot, stuffy and smelly. That being said the staff we very friendly and the feel of the hotel and reception area was great
