A deer was at the entrance last night and a racoon was on the front lawn. I felt welcomed by the wild life and the lady at the lodge. She was super nice and helpful. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything I needed.

I really liked the cooking dishes and utensils along with the silverware and dishes in the cottage where I stayed. I do wish that this had been better advertised on Expedia because I brought a lot of this with me and didn't need it. I did not like the aged, upholstered furniture in the cottage. I would prefer to sit on something that is not upholstered, but if it is then I want it to be rather new and very clean. I wasn't comfortable sitting on the couch without putting one of my blankets down first. This is not a deal breaker for me, but an area for improvement. I recommend that the porch light be left on for guests on the day that they will check in. The door to the cottage where I stayed was on the back side of the cabin away from lights and it was dark when I rounded the corner. I was alone and it was slightly scary. I overall really enjoyed staying in the cottage. I would book again!

Great place for a vacation
We have stayed at Kenlake State Resort several times and it is always wonderful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. It is always clean and we will be definitely staying there again in the future.

Clean, quiet - would stay again.
This facility is nestled in a quiet area around the lakes. Yet any type of dining or eating is within 15 miles or less. This stay was in one of their cottages. Everything was clean inside and out. The full size kitchen was adequately furnished for cooking/serving for four. It had a full sized bath and linens were of good quality. The bedroom had a wall mounted tv facing the queen size bed, 6 drawer dresser, and a small hanging closet. Plenty of room for moving around - even with luggage. The living room is spacious with a large sofa, 2 sitting chairs, and wall mounted tv. Dining table was tucked to the wall on the kitchen side of living room and would seat 6. Trash was removed from the curb everyday, wifi provided, parking close to the cabins - although some cabins do require going down some stairs. The staff is friendly and the entire facility is well maintained - inside and out.

The room did not have either a microwave nor refrigerator. Having these 2 appliances would have certainly made our stay better. The area around the lodge had many beautiful and majestic trees!

Nice, clean resort with a chill 1950's vibe
A very clean hotel. The pool was clean and the pool towels were nice. Our room was nice, but the toilet was loose from the floor and rocked a bit each time you sat on and got up from it. The grounds of the resort are kept very nicely and the location on the lake is wonderful. The included breakfast was just okay. They have preserved the charming 1950's decor and style.

Kenlake Lodge
We stayed overnight at the Kenlake Lodge, and we had a great time. I was met by a very nice desk attendant who gave me maps of the area, which were extremely helpful. Our room was tastefully decorated in green and blue, and the a/c was nice and cold. In the evening, we sat by the pool which overlooks the lake. Absolutely stunning! I would happily go back just to do that again! While it was too hot outside to do much exploration of the property, it is expansive, having cottages, restaurants, and a marina. If you are considering visiting the area, the Kenlake Lodge is very much worth your business!

The park, lake and property grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the main building and the staff was very pleasant. The only drawback was that we couldn't get on the internet and had to use our phones as personal hotspots. Otherwise, I would say that this resort was a great value.
