Keauhou Resorts Condominiums
We did know that there would be no air conditioning, but the heat and humidity made our stay unbearable. It felt like an oven whenever we entered the unit. Upon arrival the place was not cleaned to our expectations. We left it cleaner upon departure. The unit needs a lot of upgrades.

Very nice, quiet and scenic.
It was very quiet yet close to restaurants, and the shopping center. The view was beautiful and the walk to the bay very close. It was stocked with everything but your groceries. We would stay here again.

It is not hot and it is not advertised with A/C so if he needed it he should have looked for a unit with it.

Room unmade at arrival
This is our 8th trip to Kona over the past 15 years, staying mostly at condominiums, and this is by far the establishment that is the least professionally run. Upon arrival, the room was not cleaned. Food and empty bottles were left from the previous guests. Sheets were stripped from the bed, exposing a stained mattress and blood spotted pillows. We called from Hawaii to the manager, located in Seattle, reporting conditions. We asked to be moved to another room. The three rooms at the manager's disposal were all booked. The best that the manager could do was to send a housekeeper out first thing in the morning. We we were asked to make the room up ourselves for the night. This snafu aside, the condominium was worn out. Bed linens were worn out, towels were torn. The washer and dryer were filled with towels and linens from housekeeper. On the plus side, the geckos were cute and charming.

Is practical but not beutiful
This place really needs a face lift and air conditioning Is hard to sleep at night because is to hot Is practical for a family if you want to do some cooking during your vacation. They have all the utensils. Coffe maker needs to be updated and so do the. All the other electronics.

Such a beautiful condo. Highly recommend. If you have bad knees or a bad back, probably not the best because you go up and down stairs a lot. Besides that loved it

A wonderful condo
perfect location , close to the snorkling beaches , shopping , restaurants . about 5 miles from Kona . the condo was very private and quiet will all the amenities you needed , an open plan condo . The complex and specially our condo was surrounded by lush landscaping , swimming pool close by . A little paradise

Keauhou stay
We stayed here for 10 days without any troubles, place was clean and well kept, only down side was there was no a/c, but were in Hawaii and I like to be warm, I would choose this as a place to stay again.

It's quite far from everywhere, it's not really an ocean view. If your looking for an apartment away from home than this is it. It's quite expensive per night but I guess they can get what they want in Kona.

Very nice accommodations. Cozy area close to beach
Very nice accommodations. Private setting. Very lush and QUIET! A tropical feel. Good pool area. A nice place for adults. I saw no children. A plus for me.

Nice condo in Keauhou
The bad thing about this condo is no AC. The unit was hot at night, I turned on all the ceiling fans but still. The good thing about this condo is the ocean view from the upstair balcony and the fully equipped kitchen. The area very nice and quiet.

Last Resort
Never been to a Resort that didn't have air conditioning and didn't mention it. Didn't think I had to ask. I'll know better in the future. In adequate supplies for two week stay and there was never a refill of soap, toilet paper, etc. Unit was very tired. Needed painting, etc. Problems with TV. Had to be rebooted several times.

The location was nice and townhouse location was nice. In side the townhouse was dirty. The carpet looked like it was never vacuumed it had cigarette butt on the floor ants on the furniture and roaches in the kitchen. The bedroom smell like mold or a gym locker room the bedding really smelled bad. The smell seem to be coming from the bedding the pillows and comforter. The bathroom was the cleanness place. My stay was booked for four days but the smell was so bad I left after two. I am a local on the island and no the living conditions but this place is not being kept clean.

Nice, quiet, island getaway. Everything you need is just up the street to stock up, and there's a beautiful view looking at the ocean.

Being hospitable involves compassion. I got none.
My first experience was an email that the condo you have booked is no longer available.The email was sent by the condo management and not expedia. I couldnt reach expedia since it was late. 2 days into my trip i had a tragic loss in my family and left the hotel at 5 am. I called and emailed for the mgmt to be aware. Later on I have requested a courtesy adjustment- not for unused days (2), but for cleaning and resort charges. On top of all the same hotel mgmt individual has a published cleaning fee for 1 bedroom, yet she charged me the fee for 2 bedroom. The reasoning was: she upgraded me to a 2 bedroom-I was alone on a business trip and would not have booked a 2 bedroom. After few polite requests for courtesy I have told her the following: People either look for a reason to be helpful or look for a reason not to. She chose to remind me about policies. My open question to expedia and readers. Should I pay a Resort fee, electricity charge per day, and a higher cleaning fee for a room upgrade that i never asked for? I have also emailed her the link to the news article about the crash that caused the death.

Yes, I upgraded him to a 2 bedroom but I Only charged him the Cleaning Fee for the 1 bedroom, No the 2 bedroom. So he is a little confused on that but I understand. I Did Not Receive any Info on a Crash and although my heart goes out to them and their Loss I have to follow the agreement that was Established between the Guest and the Property. We understand there are circumstances that require early departures but we have setup guidelines and the guest agreed to them but then when something happens they don't want to have to follow the agreement between them and property. The owner rented their Home to him and and Turned Away Other Rentals because it was already rented so they would lose income at No fault of theirs. So unfortunately we can't waive the extra 2 nights and that is why Guidelines and Policies are setup, If they were not followed there would be No Reason to Develope them and they work in the Guests Favor as well as the Properties so that the Guest Knows what to Expect and that they are covered.
