The property was beautiful outside. Fall is a great time to go to Walker. When we checked in the receptionist, she was nice and bubbly. However, when we went to the restaurant/bar for dinner, it was closed. Nothing was mentioned when we booked it. That was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay there. There was another party wanting to know when breakfast is served and they laughed and said no breakfast. It is 10 miles or so into town. The rooms were nice and large. Called and Asked for More cups and coffee in the morning and said they would bring us some. Never did.

The property is on a beautiful area of Leech Lake. The room was spacious and gad great view. There was no restaurant service on Saturday or Sunday.

We really liked the setting and the accommodations. The grounds and rooms were very nice. There really were no staff around-the restaurant was closed due to no cook. Office was not open during office hours posted. We had everything we needed but it would have been nice to have staff available and the restaurant open.

Management was so incredibly friendly. Beautiful location. Great amenities. Very quiet and family oriented.

All the staff quit.. There was no food anywhere no pop in pop machines NOTHING!! Just really sucked with 2 small kids and NO food. FILL ALL THOSE VENDING MACHINES WE NEED TO EAT!!!!

There was some issue with their reservation system. It amounted to us waiting nearly an hour to get checked in. The room was OK. The vending machines were completely empty.

Leech Lake Fishing
Horseshoe Lodge and surrounding area were beautiful with very friendly staff and harbor crew. Was a shame that the town of Walker had yet to awaken from the winter break.

We were looking for a fun mid-winter getaway into the northern parts of minnesota. I think we might have been the only guests on the property but everything was great. I love the small towns near Walker, great breakfasts, and the pool was nice and relaxing in the evening. Brent Kastner

Nice, spacious hotel room overlooking the lake; fireplace was a nice touch. Food in restaurant was good but coffee was luke warm at best even after asking for a different cup. Wait staff were difficult to understand due to foreign accents. Overall a pleasant trip and the resort is lovely.

We were there for an ice fishing trip on horshoe bay, so this was a super convenient location just off the shore and the price was right. Pros: -Large spacious room -Comfy beds -Nice large pool area for kids -Nice view from room ( although not as close to lake as advertised, i think a bit misleading) -generous amounts of toiletries Cons: -noticeable cigarette odors in the hall that seeps into the rooms -super small non absorbent bath towels (bring your own) -need to bring your own hair dryer -there is a fireplace as advertised, but u have to purchase wood -no phone in the rooms to call front desk -heating/cooling in the unit is outdated and super loud. Everytime it starts up, it wakes you up.

The woman at the check in desk did not bother to greet us at all. The hotel also ran my card for payment days before I even checked in. Otherwise, the room was large, clean and comfortable.

Do not stay at Andersons Horseshoe Bay
The help was almost nonexistent. When we did find them - not helpful or friendly. No Wifi, tiny TV, no ice, horrible beds, bar & grill never open, questionable cleanliness in room. We were only there 2 nites & couldn't wait to leave. When we talked to locals in town about it, they were not surprised. We did know it was off season but if they didn't want to deal with guests, they should have been closed.

Nice rustic hotel close to the lake
The hotel is rustic, with no water pressure. We went for a wedding. The room was clean and large. Had all the amenities, but older. The hot tub was broken and the pool cold.

Nice to be near plowed ice road that you guy's pld
Clean rooms, nice lady at front desk,very little paperwork, booked online got there and everything was ready less than 5min to check in.
Son had a blast ,will be back in spring

Weekend family ice fishing.
This is a nice place to stay. Many options for your lodging needs. Customer service is outstanding. Rooms are comfortable and provide good amenities I.e. mini frig, microwave, fireplace, shampoo, towels etc. Grandkids used pool and loved it. Rooms could use a little maintenance but everything was functional during our stay.

our room was very nice except pictures on web sight was a little different then what our room looked like & the indoor pool closed at 9 pm & the web sight said nothing about their food & bar area was closed for the month of november..but over all i would deffently would say again

Good view
We were looking for a hotel in Walker. This place is about 8 miles from Main Street. It is also billed as a hotel and casino. The casino is 5 miles away. Also beware the checkout time of 9:00. It had a beautiful view of the lake and was comfortable.

Disappointing
The rooms were very dated, poorly decorated and not clean. The room was very dark with poor lighting, the tv did not work,water pressure was poor and comforter on bed was very very heavy with no other blankets. On the morning we were to leave we awoke to no electricity and no water. We had to try to get ready in the dark and try to make sure we had all of our belongings. The front desk was not open and the phone calls went to voice mail.

Nice Resort! Everything you need, right on site.
Enjoyed our stay! Quiet and lots of room, so it never seemed overcrowded. Restaurant & bar on site. Marina for our boat, was a plus. Nice beach for children/families for swimming, with all the water toys available for use. Several choices for lodging, from a hotel, to cabins, condo's or villa's. Beautiful resort in a calm bay!

Beautiful resort!
Beautiful resort with lots of decks docks beach to explore! Swimming in the pool and hot tub was great. Very clean and big to spread out with family. All you need for up north fun!!! Fishing was great. However don't expect hospitality from staff. Other wise beautiful fun resort. Loved that we could bring our doggie with no issues! She loved it. Our 2 teens loved the pool and spa room. A place for any weather!!! I would tell my friends but the staff needs a training in interaction with guests!!!

Older lodge, spacious and clean rooms, nicer pool and spa area, charming bar/restaurant overlooking marina, everything was as expected or better except for dining. We checked dining hours, went for a swim, and tried to come back for our Valentine's dinner and the restaurant decided to close early. We convinced them to make us a burger but we felt bad keeping them open and had to ask to have darts turned on, ask for silverware, ask for a drink refill etc. They brought us the wrong drinks, overcharged us, and it was clear we just needed to leave. The food was good, but not the shrimp we were looking forward to. We will try them again someday.

Beautiful view of Leech Lake.
We had two rooms attached for five ladies, which was great. The room with one king bed had a bathroom that was gorgeous - two sinks, large tub, shower. Funny that the room with two queen beds had a small bathroom. Wonderful view and sounds of the lake, nice decks for both rooms. It was wonderful to have a restaurant downstairs with good food & drink. One night there was a noisy convention, so the hostess put us in a side room so we could talk - great service. The only drawback was that we had to climb some steep stairs to get to our room; our 89 year old mother and sister with bad knees had to navigate carefully, so the rest of us had to tote their luggage along with our own. It did not occur to me that there would not be an elevator when we were offered rooms upstairs.
