1. No upgraded provided which I was supposed to have as Expedia VIP grade 2. Room was exposed to serious noise from the club besides My family was struggling from the noise during 11 pm to 12 pm and asked for noise issue Hotel manager's feedback was "This hotel room is subject to noise and everybody is OK because people come to this hotel for night-out" This means, the hotel manager also knows that this is not the hotel that you can stay and take a rest during the night. 3. Hotel had silent room but they charged us $62 for the change at the midnight

Can’t beat this location next to the trains, central to everything in the Loop, only a few minutes from the Art Institute. Staff was super helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. I would definitely recommend this hotel - a great value for the price.

Staff was amazing. One of top 5 customer service experiences Ive had in my many years of traveling all over the world. Miles and Renee in the bar/restaurant are world class. Beverly at the front desk is my new best friend. Ill be back in Chicago probably in a month or two and wouldn't even entertain staying anywhere else.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, cerca del frijol (cloud gate), las habitaciones amplias y cómodas pero al llegar (la estancia ya pagada) nos hicieron esperar y de mala manera por casi una hora que porque estaba corriendo la auditoría nocturna, yo soy hotelera y sé que eso no impide poder asignar una habitación. Era de madrugada y veníamos muy cansados y con niño pequeño ya llorando por dormir en el cuarto, cuando se dio cuenta que era expedia gold vip cambió completamente su actitud pero la espera si fue muy molesta.

The Silver Smith has excellent customer service from the time you pull up to the valet to Beverly and others working the front desk. I would recommend that they have someone conduct random checks on house keeping to keep up with quality control and to include some snacks in the room to justify the additional fee. Overall great place to stay I would give it an 8 out of 10.

Room was clean and quiet but we were on the back side - the front faces the L and it seems like those rooms could be louder. Easy to get around either by foot or L from this location to most major tourist spots. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good drinks in the bar.

The rooms were very spacious. The showers were generous. The beds heavenly (even if you have a bad back). Excellent staff. It was a wonderful stay in a swanky historic hotel that has personality. You can’t beat its proximity to all the major Chicago attractions that you could walk to or catch public transportation to practically right outside the door. We definitely recommend staying here!

Every staff member was rude and not easy to approach except for the manager of the dinner. First room was gave to me with pubes ALL in the bed and not even a room that matches the description. I wouldn’t come back, and I had to pay an additional fees. In which I asked about the fees, and I was told I will get it back only for me to get a small portion back. I will NEVER recommend or come back to this hotel even if was free.

The hotel was nice, comfortable and clean but the best part was the staff! Everyone we dealt with went out of their way to assist us from getting more blankets and water to entertaining our 8 year old twins at dinner. Each staff member was genuine, warm and delightful. They really made our trip to Chicago memorable!

Great little hotel very convenient to everything in the loop. The price was very good, two nights all in for about 300 bucks. Overall the rooms were really nice, but the common area is needed a little sprucing up. The bar and restaurant on the first floor was very comfortable.

I really liked this hotel. The staff was really great, attentive and helpful. The hotel is easily accessible from/to O’Hare by train. My room was super big and I loved the bathroom - two showers, amenities, etc. The only thing is the room was cold and the heat didn’t really seem to work. BUT I was out all day and forgot to mention it on my second night there. Totally on me. I would stay here again. Close to everything.

The desk staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location was perfect. Near everything but quiet.
