Everything about The Elm House was delightful. Pauline was the perfect host. She made a fantastic traditional Irish breakfast each morning, and had out several other yummy options such as cereal, wheat biscuits, fruit, and yogurts. She also put out tea, coffee and cake in the evening when we opted to sit in the very comfortable living room area with a fireplace (that she always kept going). We had one of the larger rooms from what I could tell (Room 1), and it had a wonderfully comfortable queen bed and beautiful furnishings. Everything felt very clean. The private bathroom was very small which was expected, so much that my taller boyfriend had to sit with the door open when on the toilet, so that his legs could fit. Lol.
The property itself was beautiful, and the adjacent property had horses and sheep, and we enjoyed walking over and interacting with them.
Sincerely, everything about this place was exactly how a bed and breakfast should be. I can’t say enough positive things about it.
