We were told a “hotel shuttle” would pick us up from the airport. We waited 2 hours after landing and a taxi showed up. When we got to Mercure we were told we had to pay for the “hotel shuttle”. This means we could’ve taken a regular cab and not waited 2 hours! We were supposed to get VIP status with our membership but there were no benefits honored. The hotel itself is clean, room is OK. No heat. There is no fridge in the room. WIFI connection is on/off. You get 1 towel per person and have to call every day for a 2nd towel. The menu and room service options are limited with nothing for vegans or vegetarians. Location is 45 minutes from historical center. There is not hotel shuttle. There is no concierge service. Staff will each give you different information. Do not honor late check out. Do not honor any VIP membership status.

Beautiful Hotel!!
I was blown away by this hotel! I was staying here for a tour and came a day early on my own. The price was phenomenal, the room was beautiful and spacious with a balcony and a lovely view, and the lobby was stunning. Pool had jets and an amazing view. Dinner and breakfast were good. Loved this hotel so much!

Great hotel.
Excellent hotel for the money in Quito. Lovely rooms, nice rooftop hot tub. Excellent gym (although air con would be an advantage) and lovely sushi in the restaurant. The staff were lovely. You can leave bags in the storeroom and transfers and taxis are easily arranged and reliable.

The location of the hotel was great. Close to shops and restaurants. The rooms were not sound proof however so it was a little loud. Was also woken up at 2am to ask me if the smoke detecter in my room went off (it didn't)

Localização não é a melhor, mas bom hotel.
Os apartamentos são muito bons, o spa na cobertura é ótimo. Atendimento de modo geral é razoável. Café da manhã bom, nada excepcional. O restaurante é péssimo, o que explica estar sempre vazio. A localização do hotel já foi boa, hoje em dia está em uma área perigosa e deserta à noite. Apesar dos pontos positivos, eu não me hospedaria lá novamente.

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff, large rooms, and a reasonably priced restaurant with great service. About 45 minutes from the airport and 3 km from the historic centre.

Our room was spacious with a nice living-room area (couch, table, and chairs), so it felt really good at the end of the day to relax a bit around there. Hotel staff was very friendly and spoke English well enough to help us with activity reservations and getting a great taxi to the airport late at night. Hot breakfast was decent too, a great start for the day. There were just a couple of really minor things, such as dirty corners in the shower and loose shower handle. Fixing these would be great! Overall, great accommodation experience in Quito and I'd stay again and highly recommend it.

Nice hotel but not for hotels.com benefits.
Overall the stay was good. We enjoyed the hotel. If you travel frequently on Hotels.com, they do not honour the gold status benefits. We arrived early. They offered us an early check in for $55.00. We showed them our reservation that stated clearly that our hotels.com gold status allows us “Early check in if available”. The front counter staff told us that “that only applies if early check in is available”. So we asked if the $55 dollar fess was for a different room. She said “no, it would be for our room”. We then said,” So it IS available?” She said “yes for 55 dollars”. So we paid the 55 dollars and they put 67 dollars on our card lol. Not a bad place but we cancelled plans to stay there for 3 days on the way out of Ecuador.

For a double room we had a suite type room, nice surprise. The restaurant was excellent. The room was cool (December) and there is no heat or A/C. But a heavy duvet made for quality sleep. The only negative thing was the single pane wiindows that even on the 7th floor do not block out the traffic noise...all night.

Property was a little outdated. You could hear all the noise from the street. Left to work at 7:30am and returned by 2:30 to the hotel my room was not made. Service is very good, but I like newer hotels.
