I do not recommend staying here! After checking in, I went to my room, I opened my door, only to have it smell like a stale ashtray. I also noticed that the window was open, hair on my pillows and in my bathroom. Oh and I had a couple bugs visiting my room as well.

Had to pay a pet fee. Booked with third party Expedia and there was no mention of fees. Booked and asked to pay $60 left a bad taste for Best Western. Either make 3rd party have full disclosure or do not make the charges if booked online.

The hotel is going through a renovation. The lobby area is very nice and the rooms are in process. The selected décor is very nice. The pancake maker on the breakfast buffet is fun! There are several good restaurants nearby. There are several big box stores you can walk to, but for the downtown area, it's a 10 minute drive or so. The staff is very helpful. We Ubered everywhere.

Ice machines don’t work only on the fifth floor. Elevator doesn’t work. You have to use the stairs. Stains all over the floors very dirty. First room I was given somebody was already in second room. I was given was not made up third room was OK.

Housekeeping was non-existent during our two-day stay. A bug crawled on me during the night while sleeping (needless to say sleeping after that was impossible.) Did not try the included breakfast after that experience, either, although the dining area seemed decent. The surrounding area is rather rundown. We witnessed a man urinating in a public parking lot while out for dinner. Enough said. Would not return nor recommend.

The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The room had no regular coffee only decaf which was disappointing. They had only one coffee machine for the breakfast room and that was not working part of the time. The coffee was very weak and poor quality. The staff was great and very helpful.

We had reservations and the person in front of us did as well. We walked in at the same time. It took 10 minutes to check the guy in front of us and us in. WAY TOO SLOW!

The property appeared renovated with big flat screen in the room. However, the exhaust fan in the bathroom didnt work and the water pressure in the shower was extremely low. The cleanliness could have been better as far as the mirrors go. They werent very clean. But wasnt worth complaining to the desk about. Staff was friendly, but many did not speak/understand English so requesting or asking something was pointless. The breakfast was good and warm. However, when the food ran low they did not refill. Requesting additional or refill was not understood by the staff because we tried. I am 50/50 on whether i would stay here again. I would probably check the other options first.

The property could stand to be updated but it was extremely clean. There was supposed to be an ice machine on our floor, but it was not working. There was ice on two floors above us, which was not convenient. Staff at the front desk was exceptionally friendly!

Very good hotel in Wilmington
My husband and I stayed for the first time at this hotel. We liked the location near to restaurants, grocery stores and breweries. The hotel looks new and clean. Our room was good, the bed was comfortable and bathroom very clean. Breakfast was good.The only problem was HBO channels, the signal was not clear but the other channels worked fine. When we informed this situation to the front desk person, she tried to move us to another room but it was the same problem, so we decided to stay in the original room.

This was a very nice hotel and probably one of the most well maintained Best Westerns I have seen. The breakfast was awesome and the staff were great. The room was also very clean and comfortable. We were also able to take our pet and their pet fee is the best in the area only $30 extra and most others hotels that do take dogs want at least a minimum of $75. I will definitely stay here again when in the area. It is also convenient to everything and right off of Interstate in Wilmington. It does have nice pool but, it was closed for the season.
