The room was lovely with a really modern ensuite bathroom. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. It was ideally situated with both shops, historic sites and parkland within walking distance. I would definitly return

Everyone was so lovely, reception and dining staff a real credit to the hotel. Food was very good and staff couldn’t do enough for you. Rooms very nice, large and clean

Excellent hotel in a great location making it easy to walk to everything one would want to visit in York. Great breakfast service, great breakfast and well worth having included in price. Accommodation very comfortable and all extras such as tea/coffee, tv, internet etc all as standard.

The staff are so friendly and helpful like most yorkshire folk, particularly the always happy Stewart serving breakfast who has been there forever. Great breakfast options in lovely dining room. Good shower, warm rooms. So convenient for the town centre, perfect and flexible parking

This is our 4th time at this hotel, and i wouldn't go anywhere else, excellent location, and easy walking distance to the City and attractions

A mix of traditional and modern, the room was comfortable and spacious. Close to the city centre and easy to find and park. Service was amazing, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The wifi connection was a little slow but that can't detract from the wonderful two nights here. Will definitely return

The hotel staff were amazing, allowed us to leave our luggage before our booking in time. Very friendly. The breakfast was good although the black pudding was hard! Clean rooms and good facilities. Easy walking distance of York centre.

Another great stay at the minster. Our room (34) was modern, quiet and had a lovely en suite. The breakfast next morning was very nice and we loved being able to securely park our car and make the very short (5 mins) walk into the city centre. This is our favourite hotel in York.

Very close to all areas we were visiting. We walked everywhere. The room was better than expected. Spacious and huge bed. Staff were attentive, friendly and always helpful. Only issue was the hot water took ages to reach the annexe part so just needed to wait. The shower tray was very shallow so kept needing to stop the water for water to drain off otherwise the floor would get flooded. Excellent choice for breakfast with good quality produce.

Our 4th year stay
This is our 4th year staying at the minster hotel and it never disappoints. This hotel is amazing. From arriving in the hotels carpark to leaving. The staff on reception give you such a warm welcome and will do anything to help you. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds very comfortable. Breakfast is just yummy and lots of choice. Just need to mention the eggs. The best I have ever had. Now the staff. The team of staff that work at this hotel are a dream team and I cannot praise them enough. Nothing is too much trouble and you can clearly see that each and every member of staff love what they do in there job. We will always stay at this hotel and have already booked our next trip Team minster hotel all the way

‘A great hotel in a fantastic location’
A family two night stay in York with daughter and fiancé over from New Zealand. We had the best time. The Minster Hotel was a real find. Super friendly and helpful staff, spacious and comfortable bedrooms and great breakfasts. A return visit beckons soon!

Süßes kleines Hotel mitten in York
Dies ist ein sehr gutes Hotel um York zu Fuß zu erkunden, die Lage ist sehr zentral. Es gibt auch eigene Parkplätze im Hof, dieser kostet 6-7£, wenn man direkt beim Hotel bucht, ist der Parkplatz sogar inklusive. Das Zimmer war modern eingerichtet, leider war die Matratze schon etwas durchgelegen. Es gibt ein Frühstücksbuffet und zusätzlich kann man noch frische Speisen dazubestellen (z.B. Full English oder Poached Eggs (die Eggs hatten leider einen starken Essiggeschmack, das kann man noch verbessern)). Ich würde dieses Hotel sofort wieder buchen und auch anderen empfehlen!

Very happy will go again
Arrived early to park as I approached the gates receptionist opend them for me.I went into reception to give my reg and was asked if we needed the toilet before we we off into York didn't have to ask,all the staff were cheerful and happy to help.The place itself was spotless and the room was perfect the bathroom was amazing and the breakfast was first class with a wide choice on offer.

We have had a fab couple of days this is our second visit to the minster hotel the staff are brilliant very helpful breakfast is lovely cooked fresh plenty of choice. Rooms very clean. A short walk to the shops would highly recommend a stay here.

Amazing staff, great hotel all you need!
Amazing experience, we had visited the hotel before so knew how accommodating the staff were and how close to the city centre it was, but I just wanted to thank the staff as we had to change our room from a double to a twin then to a family as people kept joining the trip! The staff were so happy to help and I cannot praise them enough. Lovely stay cannot ask for more!
