Loved the 50’s/60’s vibe and decor. Staff are so friendly and treat each guest so special! I will book a room here for all my visits to South Padre Island!!

Upper Deck was what we thought it would be. A nice, clean small hotel. The service and staff was great, couldn't ask for any better people. Even though it was a little dated it was very clean and met what we wanted. Will definitely stay there again.

es un edificio de madera muy antiguo y con falta de mantenimiento, habitacion muy reducida , camas con colchones flojos y acunados, almohadas en mal estado, instalaciones electricas en mal estado, en el baño no hay iluminacion suficiente, techo con hongos, la regadera no sale suficiente agua, etc.

One of the best experiences at spi
Was allowed to check in early (about an hour) and they have individual wristband keys for every guest. They give you a tour and show you to your room. The room I got was especially nice and may have been newly renovated. The colors of the interior were so welcoming and very uplifting. The unit itself was extremely roomy. It felt as if we were staying in a condo. The appliances and everything are really nice too. There is a jacuzzi in a hotel guests only area which is nice so that it does not get too crowded. The pool is in a separate area with an outdoor bar, a stage, and plenty of room to sit. The indoor bar is quaint and comfy but not the largest. Has a really local feel to it which is nice and comforting. They serve food, which is pretty good, and have daily happy hour and other specials. Was not expecting to enjoy the place as much as I did. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the age of the place but I am a believer now. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

2 Day Getaway
This was my first time staying there. Everything was good however don’t stay in room 22, it’s right above the Spa! You can hear guests talking before 2am and after 2am. If you’re a light sleeper like my wife and I take ear plugs! The bar serves good salads and cold beer! My wife feel in love with the Greek Salad! We saw the singer of the group Toby Beau! Very friendly and talkative! Will stay there again! Amanda and Latasha were very helpful!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere the hot tub was absolutely relaxing I really enjoyed the fact that there was not any kids running around and screaming the only thing I didn't like about the place where the stairs but that's okay it was still very enjoyable

The bar area, pool, jacuzzi is such a nice commodity! We were exhausted from the sun and wanted to wait until the sun went down to go to the beach.. we were able to relax and spend time outdoors here at the hotel and it was great! We almost bailed on the beach just to hang out at the outdoor barbar area here, the live band was great!

Quick trip, good location. Bed needs to be replaced #37 pillows are horrible, one had a lipstick stain on it. Music was loud. I was just looking for some rest.

The 2 bed 2 bath is large enough for 8 people with space. It has 3 beds and 2 futons. 10 adults might be a little cramped

Let’s property was the absolute perfect size for us. Even better, it’s pet friendly which is extremely important when we are choosing where to stay. It was so nice to make friends with the variety of guests as well…I also understand they are in the process of remodeling all of the room so I’m looking forward to our next visit.

This is my second time staying here and I know I will be coming back here. Remember you do get what you paid for; the rooms were plain, the ice had a dead cockroach and there was a rat in the pool but the tv, bed, privacy and staff is great.

Awesome experience
Since the moment I walked in, I felt the friendly environment. Everyone was very sweet and helpful. I loved that the restaurant/bar stays open til 2 am. They have ice chests, chairs, and umbrellas that they let you borrow to take to the beach at no cost. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our anniversary outing very much. We will definitely be back soon.

Cute Little Party Spot for Fun
We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and the front desk waited for our arrival. Everyone was so nice and our bartender was super amazing! The food in the bar was outstanding as well! Best sandwiches!!!!! We even enjoyed a band on the patio next to the pool. The room was ok. Needs some updating for sure. I just wish there had been a small couch or some chairs we could have sat in to watch tv. It would have been nice to have had a small frig for drinks etc also. There was just a bed in our king room. Overall we really, really enjoyed our stay. You need to be a little "open-minded" to stay here.

Great place.. Friendly staff. Love the fact of adults only.. Piano bar was entertaining!! Pool was big. The only thing was the TV service was terrible and beds were uncomfortable and no water pressure

so much! We appreciate your feedback. Under the new ownership we intend to make several improvements including the beds. Unfortunately, being on a little island, we are at the mercy of our service providers for tv service and that particular weekend the Laguna Madre Water District was experiencing a pressure issue so water pressure was low everywhere on the island. It's not common but it does happen. So, please come back and stay with us soon!

Staying here was the best decision. The beach house was clean, spacious, and comfortable. They have everything you need for the beach, you can just grab and return(that easy). We are for sure coming back!!

There is a new owner at the Upper Deck and she is fabulous. Our 1st room's smoke alarm kept beeping, so the new owner sent a nice employee right away to change the battery. Unfortunately, that did not work, so the new owner gave us an upgrade and a new room. Thank you!

The person who checked us in gave us a quick tour of the facilities, which for my experience was unusual but helpful. Everything was well-kept, basic, and visually attractive for a simple but effective beach stay. Really nice little (chilly!) refrigerator in room, reasonable bed, effective AC, convenient & producing icemaker. Room was basic but aesthetically coordinated. Public areas were pleasant & clean. Had handy wristband 'key' that I particularly liked.
