It was alright, but it is like a dorm room and less like a hotel. Supper option was a buffet but very limited for vegetarians, and extremely expensive.

Hotel Bifrost staff was friendly and engaged, their dining and lobby area was clean and comfortable to relax in. The rooms were clean if a little dated, but a large amount of space to unpack if you were staying longer. Very large area for shower which was a pleasant surprise. We were overlooking some nearby homes and there was some traffic noise, but nothing distracting. Did not try the breakfast but looked appetizing.

Great hotel restaurant. Lovely bar. The rooms are nice, but not well designed. The shower got water all over the bathroom. There were no blackout curtains so it was bright all nice- Iceland summer. The window only cracks about an inch and there is no ventilation. It was very odd to be stifling hot in Iceland.

The property is a bit outdated, the bathroom needs an upgrade, however the rooms are large, with mirrors, refrigerator, a small kitchenette. The breakfast was awesome the best we had in Iceland. Dinner was good however as a vegetarian my choices were extremely limited for a price of ISK 8900. We had a stopover for one night and had a comfortable stay.

Overnatning på vores rundrejse i Island. Hotellet var pænt indendørs, men udendørs hvor vi ankom til var ikke pænt. Hoveddøren var glasset stjernet. Dårligt indtryk udefra. Mulighed for aftensmad var der kun muligt at købe deres buffet som var ret dyr.

This entire place was awkward in a way. It kind of looks like this used to be a former students dorm turned into a hotel! Lobby is very posh, the rooms spacious but loveless. We were surprised to find a tiny kitchen (no pots, pans, plates etc however) which can be useful in a remote place like Bifröst. The bathroom could have been cleaner … the shower was crusted with limestone. View from top floor was nice. Breakfast was one of the best we‘ve had in Iceland so far.

The service was great at this hotel and the food was good. Everything was clean. The entrance was difficult to find though. It looks like a college dorm that has been converted to a hotel. The toilet seat in room 308 needs to be fixed. The toilet seat moves around a lot. It would be nice if the rooms had bigger tvs and more channel choices. There was an odd smell in the hallway.

Das Hotel war das schlechteste u leider gleichzeitig teuerste Hotel…190€ für ein veraltetes Uni-Gebäude (was eher sogar noch ausschaut wie in einem Krankenhauszimmer…) die Fenster u Zimmertür nicht richtig zu schließen es pfeift die ganze Zeit der Wind rein u es ist kühl!!!) Frühstück war ok - der Raum zum Frühstücken dunkel u nicht schön Nie wieder!!!

Das Hotel steht auf einem heruntergekommenen Campus. Die Bilder auf der Website zeigen nicht das Hotel, sondern die Universität. Es gibt, anders als gezeigt, keinen Hotpot oder ein anderes Schwimmbad. Generell ist der Luxus mit dem geworben wird nicht vorhanden. Die Zimmer waren aber sowohl von der Größe, als auch von der Einrichtung okay. Die Lage des Hotels ist jedoch nicht schlecht und man kann gut mit dem Auto zu verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten kommen.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry about the hot tubs that are not open but they are not part of the hotel even though they are visible from the hotel. There are not pictures of hot tubs on Expedia site.

Manager was one of the best I ever have met, we arrived there before our booking from Orbitz did show on their computer, but he gave us a room anyway and he said we can check at dinner time if booking came true other ways we fix it in the morning!! I have never in 34 countries I have stayed in and hundreds of Hotels never got this FRIENDLY service. Bravo "10 Stars"

Das Fitness Studio und der Hot Tub standen nicht zur Verfügung, obwohl es auf der Homepage erwähnt war. Zum Frühstück gab es keine warme Milch, wenig frisches Obst und kein Frühstücksei. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, leider war der Herd nicht angeschlossen.

When I arrived, my reservation could not be found that I had made a month earlier (and had a receipt for, confirming my payment). We had an overpriced dinner at the restaurant, the salted cod was terrible and they did not attend to us at the table. We discovered the two glasses in our room were dirty, with lip marks on them and specks of dirt. At check out time, they still had not resolved the issue of the reservation and asked for payment for both our dinner and room which was confirmed to have already been paid on the receipt I showed them. The hotel has an odd atmosphere. The main things that are good: large rooms and the breakfast. The people working there tried, but this place clearly has poor management and administration and should not be on Expedia if it is not receiving communication about reservations and payments.

This hotel's response was terrible. When I was not able to go to this hotel due to delayed baggage and road conditon, I asked the hotel to cancel the booking or transfer to other day via message in Expedia. However, they didn't do any reply until I sent the second message next day. Although I was not able to use phone call, they said I should have called them to push it and refused cancel and refund without considering my situation. Finally I was not able to stay here and get any refunds for cancell booking, even an portion of breakfast. It was worst hotel experience I've ever had.

The reason we did response so late was due to the fact that we never received your initial request. When you sent the second mail we answered immediately. Large comfortable room, fantastic food
Large room with table and 2 chairs and kitchenette. Huge bathroom. Very nice lady working there helped us resolve a situation with a reservation we had for the next town we were going to. The food at the restaurant there was fantastic. Best meal we had on our entire trip. Only negative was no wash clothes in the bathroom. Encountered this at a few other hotels - maybe that is a European thing? We were told this hotel was a dormitory for a college. If so, these college students live in luxury.

Nous sommes 2 adultes et un enfant et avons été déçu de notre nuit au Bifrost Les points positifs : - propre - bien situé sur l'axe Nord Sud route 1 - petit déjeuner correct (buffet) Les points négatifs : - décoration, meubles,... des années ... ? 70 ? - "vieillot, mal entretenu, voir un peu glauque - contrairement à la photo : piscine non utilisable et surement utilisée depuis longtemps - nous n'avons pas (oser) tester le restaurant et il faut oublier les belles nappes blanches sur les photos... En conclusion, ce bâtiment n'était surement pas un hôtel à l'origine (université avec des chambres ?). Pourquoi pas y séjourner mais pas au prix proposé, on peut surement trouver mieux Nous ne recommandons pas.

Das Hauptgebäude ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und macht einen etwas vernachlässigten Eindruck. Die Zimmer sind in einem Nebengebäude. Sie sind sauber und zweckmäßig ausgestattet, Betten gut. Frühstücksbuffet mit guter Auswahl, auch das Abendessen (1xPizza - sehr groß, 1x Burger) schmeckte gut.

A Hotel that is remote but handy for breaking the journey on the Ring Road. Beautiful and much less known Glanni Waterfall nearby where we enjoyed some walks and the lava field landscape is amazing. The Hotel seemed to only have 1 staff member on at any one time who was everything to everyone. Cosy and warm and the room was spacious. Enjoyed the Hot Thermal pool.

Convenient place for one night stop. Rooms are renovated, very big, comfortable twin beds, room has with kitchen amenities, huge bathroom. Reception needs renovation and staff to serve it, as at the moment restaurant staff serve the reception desk and you have to wait. Also the lady when I checked in wasn't very polite and did not shows me the way to the rooms, which are in separate building so I had to figure out by myself, anyway on the next morning the other girl in the restaurant was very friendly, helpful and polite. So might be is good her colleagues to learn from her about hospitality.

This is a nice, quiet hotel and a convenient stopping point to northern Iceland. However the hotel have charged me twice for the room and despite agreeing to refund, 20 days later have still not done so. I will now have to pursue this through my credit card company.

El hotel estaba prácticamente vacío, en una especie de zona residencial extraña, rodeada de coches abandonados, ruedas pinchadas y medio robados. Nuestra habitación estaba en un edificio separado, con bastantes moscas, y la ducha resbalaba hasta el punto de ser peligrosa. Mala experiencia, lo desaconsejo.
