Quaint little spot
Finding myself on my own for the holidays, I decided to make a short trip to Mendocino, and area that I love. I checked in on Christmas Eve, and stayed for two days. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I was pleased to have a fireplace, sitting area, small refrigerator and coffee maker. The receptionist at the front (I wish I could remember her name) was incredibly helpful in advising me which places would hold Christmas Eve services, and made sure I had anything I needed. The service was personal and I felt right at home. There are a few things to note - check in timeframe is limited, so make sure that you are aware. The room itself is very large and comfortable, but not luxurious. I certainly would stay again, but it is definitely more "homey and quaint and comfortable" than luxe. I thought it would have a microwave as described, but my room did not. I didn't end up needing it, but still it would have been nice to have the room as described. The spa area could also have used some attention, but it was not my priority. The location is tucked away and it can be easy to miss the entrance; that said, it is far enough back not to hear any road traffic. I loved the location, and it was close enough (2.5 miles) to the town of Mendocino for my tastes. All said, the value was very good and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Anniversary in Mendocino
We came to Mendocino to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. Having never been to Mendocino before, we weren't quite sure where to stay. While this is an older property, it was very quiet and a great place to just unwind. The staff there are beyond helpful. While they do have a continental breakfast, it's a little on the slim side, but still nice.

Quick quiet get away at the right price!
Stay was just what my husband and I needed! A quick trip to the coast, one of my favorite places in the world. The front desk person, Kate, was very nice and friendly. I loved having a fire place in the room with complementary fire logs. :) The grounds of the hotel are quaint and they do have two hot tubs which I did not have time to check out, but might in the future. Would recommend for someone looking for a nice clean friendly hotel at a good price. It was just 2 minute drive to the main city of Mendocino where we ate and did some light shopping. You could see a sliver of the ocean from parts of the rooms. Of course once you get into Mendocino it's all ocean views- just gorgeous!

Wonderful staff, beautiful location
Upon check in we were shown around the inn by Kate, who also told us everything we needed to know about amenities, etc. We were also given an FAQ sheet, places to eat in the surrounding areas, and a map of Mendocino. All very helpful and with a personal touch. It was the off season, but the inn was very quiet and peaceful. We barely saw any other guests at all, let alone were bothered by any noise. The room was beautiful and extremely clean and the bed was SUPER comfortable. Every staff member we met was extremely kind and helpful. We very much enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back if we are in the area!

Beautiful grounds & Great help!
The front desk(Sam) was incredible. upon arrival we were given a tour of the property and facilities in addition to a need to know guide of the town of Mendocino. The inn was quite and relaxing. The rooms fireplace was an amazing addition to our rooms great view.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were pretty large and the location of the hotel was perfect as it was close to everything we wanted to go and see. Recommend this to anyone looking to make a trip up to Mendocino

Weekend getaway
Loved how the Mendocino Inn and Spa was tucked away. The room was large with a great living room area. So quiet which was very nice as we brought our beautiful Labrador . Their breakfast starts at 8:30 , not minute before. The lights are out at the counter where the coffee and muffins are. Breakfast really left a lot to be desired. The lobby and breakfast room are large but not used. Easily could have wine and cheese for guests as they arrive but it’s like a ghost town. HOWEVER I WOULD GO BACK AND STAY AGAIN. THE ROOM WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED.

Comfortable Suite in a Beautiful Setting
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mendocino Inn & Spa, but it is not your typical inn. It functions more like a vacation rental. There is no staff at the inn other than a few hours in the morning to serve the continental breakfast and in the late afternoon to check you in. We didn't have any of the spa treatments but they are only available with advanced reservations. It was very quiet and our room (102) had a beautiful back yard garden view. The room was a very large suite with a nice large sitting area and fireplace. There was a small fridge and microwave even to save and reheat your delicious meals from the wonderful restaurants in the area. The only thing missing was there was no coffee pot nor was there any coffee available until the breakfast at 8:30. We are early risers so we had to leave to go in search of coffee. If there was a coffee maker in the room it would have gotten 5 stars.

This is a wonderful, small inn close to the town of Mendocino. Staff was very friendly, helpful. Rooms are clean & well kept. Highly recommend.

Nice location
Very pleasant place to stay. The staff was helpful and attentive. The outdoor furniture and exterior of the dwellings could use a face lift. But the room was very comfortable and very clean. They have Paul Mitchell products in the bathroom. Very cool.

Relaxing Getaway
Lovely stay at Mendocino Inn & Spa! Close to town and large rooms. Free small breakfast in the morning, only thing to note is need to book massage/spa services 24hrs in advance. Wonderful weekend away for couples, almost everyone staying was on a romantic getaway!

Don't stay until the hotel has been remodeled
No kitchen, no spa, old linen on bed and in bathroom. Not good breakfast, hardly eatable.

The staff was amazing, the breakfast delivered to our room was perfect, and the room was so clean and cozy, it was hard to leave! Wish we had been able to stay longer. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Tucked away in Little River
This hotel is close to Mendocino and Fort Bragg, but is tucked away on Hwy One in Little River, CA. It sits back in the trees in a lovely setting. The room is large with a sitting room and large bathroom and great bed! Perfect after a long day sightseeing. Breakfast is prepared and set outside your room in the morning.

Everything was great. The only complaint is about the breakfast: it is not buffet so basically no choice. On the second day we were given boiled eggs, which is good except for the fact that they were cold, not room temperature but cold cold.

This Inn was fantastic! The ladies that work there were so nice and welcoming. I very much enjoyed my english breakfast and the views each morning. It's quiet and peaceful too! Perfect accomodations. Highly recommend!

Definitely coming back!
This Inn is in an excellent location while visiting anywhere in Mendocino County. It is surrounded by many different State Parks and beach access points. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming my entire stay I found it hard to pack to go home. They were all knowledgeable about the area and its many attractions. Housekeeping was perfect and let me sleep in my first day which was very much needed. I didn't hear the neighboring rooms. The breakfast was healthy and filling while being served with a touch of flair.

Lovely little gem
This Inn is a gem. It was a quiet & relaxing rainy weekend. The rooms are spacious to sprawl out with a cute little corner breakfast table & a 'living room' area in front of the fireplace. It was lovely to have the fireplace going on the rainy day. The staff was friendly & quickly responded to our requests. Will absolutely be back.

Quiet and restful seclusion
This Inn is 5 minutes south of Mendocino, secluded and quiet. It is a very tasteful restoration of an older property - the rooms are really spacious, very clean, and comfortable, but not luxurious as the bathrooms are as if from the 80s. Common rooms and balconies are very nice. The hot tubs are great but the jets don't really work. You can take amazing, secluded hikes along the coastline just across the highway - highly recommended. The staff is wonderful and this is overall a very pleasant and well-run inn.

Peaceful getaway
This Inn was a perfect place to unwind and spend a quiet weekend. They have a beautiful garden and the deck on the roof provides a distant-but-pretty ocean view and unbelievable stargazing at night. Definitely take the walking trail across the street to get breathtaking ocean views. Note that the private hot tub is by appointment and has no jets, but we only had to share the communal jacuzzi once, and that was a nice large tub. Hot tub under the stars is a nice way to end your night in Mendocino - it's chilly there! Areas for improvement would be the continental breakfast (the same every day) and no bar. There is a "wine bar" but they do not yet have their wine license so they can't serve guests. But if you can't find your own great wine in Mendocino, you're not doing it right. All in all a great trip. We would stay here again.

Not quite up to reviews
I loved the biscotti (a surprise) and free water bottles (advertised but small) that were in the room when we arrived, but was disappointed to find they were first-night only items (we paid the same each night!). I had read about snacks in the evening and very social host, but she was under the weather when we were there and indicated evening snacks were unusual. Nice place but lacking some of the extras in reviews.

Clean quiet secluded feeling hotel.
Enjoyable stay made possible by a comfortable room and very courteous staff. Nice touches included in room fireplace and suite-like room. Grounds are well maintained highlighted by a beautiful rear garden area off the lounge area.

Great place 5 min from downtown Mendo
We stayed here because our favorite Mendocino B&B (Brewery Gulch) was all booked up, and what a surprise! Here's the good: the room is HUGE, with a dedicated seating area, lots of counter space, and high ceilings. Probably the largest room we've encountered for booking a "standard" size B&B room. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The room was very clean. They provided free toothbrush/toothpaste when I forgot mine at home. There was a view of the ocean from a second story common area patio. The only negative was that they didn't offer a hot breakfast or host a happy hour reception. However, this encouraged us to venture out to the area's great restaurants, which are only 5 min away. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again as the rate was very fair, the quality was high, and we had a wonderful stay.

Beauty and peacefulness
I stayed here back in March during a coastal road trip. Even though this is a small place without a 24-hour desk, the owners very kindly left a key and lots of helpful info for me, for my very late arrival. The room was spotless and cheerful, with lots of high-quality wood finishes. In the morning, the owner couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful with information to make my Mendocino visit special. A wonderful find!
